Excellent guided SOC2 application
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is so well organized, it made it easy for myself and my team to apply for SOC2 compliance. We were able to assign different policies, documents, tests, and controls to those in charge, or with knowledge of, each task for the audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta was a bit confusing at first, perhaps because it was so new to me

Vanta put getting SOC2 compliance within reach for us
Very helpfull team simplified SOCII andwas affordable!!!
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta integrates with all my important business systems, making the audit and review process a passive (monitor it) task. No more gathering documentation constantly for the audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tests can be a bit overkill for a small business. Thankfully, you can set them to N\A.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a very small business, I really do not have time to do an audit. Vanta cut the time I needed to focus on audit and audit prep down by about 90%.
Great for automating compliance
What do you like best about the product?
It takes the guesswork out of figuring out what compliance items need to be worked on and the status of each item. It makes staying compliant easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it throws off incorrect failing tests, it is not always easy to understand why a test is failing, and resolution descriptions of some tests are not clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Vanta for SOC 2 and GDPR compliance. It keeps track of the compliance status of all necessary items, and if something starts to fall out of compliance, we are notified so that we can quickly address it to get back into compliance.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta stands out for its well-organized frameworks and the ease with which it integrates various tools we're already using, which significantly streamlines our workflow. The use of templates has been particularly beneficial, providing a solid foundation for us to build upon. This feature not only saves time but also helps in maintaining consistency across our processes. However, an area where Vanta could enhance its offering is by diversifying its template library to cater more specifically to different cloud providers, company sizes, and industry requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the other hand, one aspect that I found could be improved is the way progress tracking is presented. The current system makes it somewhat challenging to gauge the remaining workload and accurately estimate the time to completion for the entire process. A more intuitive and detailed progress display could greatly enhance the user experience, providing clearer insights into our compliance journey's status and what lies ahead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta has significantly reduced the complexity and time required for managing compliance, automating key tasks and integrating compliance seamlessly into our operations. This has not only decreased our workload but also allowed us to focus more on core business activities, enhancing productivity. The streamlined compliance process facilitated by Vanta offers both operational efficiency and a clearer understanding of compliance standards, proving invaluable to our organization's functionality and growth. It is not perfect, but it is a pretty good tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty comprehensive feature-wise–there are a number of capabilities that help you manage a compliance effort right in their dashboard without relying too much on other project management tools. There are templates that can be helpful if you need to add a policy, and things like recommended controls when setting up mitigations in the risk register is a nice feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall trustworthines of some of the notification elements should be improved. Know that you will need to regularly monitor all of the various areas of the application–there are many filters and flags that can change a view and accidentally hide things you need to address. Along those same lines, there are often discrepancies in the email digests so you take the time to go look for something that needs to be fixed, but–fooled you–there's nothing that is actually pending that needs to be done!

Vanta is a big help in ensuring that all of the most critical pieces are in place for our security program and that we're prepared to demonstrate them during our regular audits.

Vanta helps us monitor our security and compliance posture and remain compliant, which speeds up our sales cycle greatly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took us longer than first estimated by our customer success rep to complete the controls needed for some of our certification, but still far faster than if we had done it without Vanta.

Vanta helps us monitor our compliance with relevant frameworks and certifications, such as GDPR and SOC 2.

We are a very small company, so we wanted to minimize required work to gain our SOC 2 compliance. Vanta has made life easy for us preparing for our first Type 2 audit (at least, as easy as SOC 2 can be).
We have been very well supported throughout our onboarding, and in general have been impressed with the level of support provided to us.
The platform itself is intuitive and easy to use. The integrations work well and have saved us from doing a lot of screenshots and other manual documentation.
Vanta came in cheapest of the competitors we solicited quotes from, and the bundled audit was very helpful as well.

Pain point have been very few and far between. Some features are gated behind add-on sales, like Vendor Risk Management Pro and Questionnaire Automation.
