We needed to go through SOC certification and Vanta was very useful
What do you like best about the product?
It makes it very easy to go through SOC certification process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like the fact that Apple Keychain was not supported as password manager.

We need to get SOC certified and Vanta was very helpful.
One of the best tools for SOC 2 Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides a comprehensive view and timeline of all the necessary tasks that you need to do to complete the controls applicable to SOC 2. For each task the explanation around it is great. Lastly, their tasks for cloud security and monitoring are one of the best in the market. We use this on a daily basis to monitor our compliance for frequency of use. Their CSM are some of the nicest and most helpful people I have met who will try their best to solve your questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
1.For renewing tasks specifically where a link or document needs to be uploaded it would be great if I could upload it and future date it so that in the coming year the time is not pre-poned for that particular task. This is particularly useful for various vendor checks and document uploads.
2. The platform is a bit difficult to navigate and can be made a whole lot simpler. With the recent update it seems to be moving in the right direction.
3. Their integrations keep breaking and it becomes difficult to rely on them especially for offboarding tasks. Really wish they can improve this. Prime examples are hubspot, AWS, wrike.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to manage our SOC 2 compliance posture throughout the audit cycle.
Very convenient - Helps us out with staying in compliance and managing threats
What do you like best about the product?
I really love the vendor management and test section features - we use these to conduct security reviews and to stay on top of compliance related items

I wish we could build more custom tests that dont pertain to our controls but are still relevamt

It makes it easy to stay on top of deadlines for compliance related items
Great product for small companies & meeting their compliance needs
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is easy to use and intuitive. It allows for integration across a broad selection of providers. Once setup, assigned owners of of domains can complete as desired.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone who is not part of the technical implementation team, setting this up may require assistance from the respective internal partners to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta will help fast track the completion of SOC2 evidence gathering and allow for regular offboarding task tracking.
Security Posture Improved
What do you like best about the product?
Clean UI with alerts that keep us on top of our security needs. Our security posture has improved since migrating to Vanta earlier this year.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be some noise in the alerting system; quite a few false positives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us stay compliant with SOC2 and GDPR and flagging when we are going to be out of compliance, ensuring our controls are in place.

Opaque pricing, sales people are often quoting vastly different prices.

Seamless Compliance Management
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta is awesome for making compliance way easier and less of a headache, especially for things like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR. It keeps an eye on security controls all the time, so there’s less manual work and stress when audit time rolls around.
What do you dislike about the product?
some users find that it doesn’t always adapt well to unique workflows or specific security setups. Rest is good

We use Vanta to handle our compliance requirements, like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, without all the usual hassle. It helps us stay audit-ready year-round by tracking our security controls automatically. It’s also great for spotting and fixing any issues early, which keeps our security on point and saves us a ton of time.
Simplify compliance with a very complete and nice UX

How easy it is to monitor compliance, what's missing and what needs to be done

Some controls are not super accurate and they may not meed external auditor's requirements
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of compliance with different checks and controls, specifically, GDPR and SOC2, Type II.
Automation helps with the minutia of HIPAA compliance
What do you like best about the product?
The ability of Vanta to connect to AWS, GITHUB, your HR system, Google workspace, etc. Trying to find violation manually is just a looser. No one has the concentration to review 100's of AWS settings for compliance, match SW vulnerabilities to code and libraries used. Additionally, even if you get to compliance, things are always changing and systems are growing. The ability to automatically check for issue day in and day out is the only way to handle HIPAA compliance
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to understand the hieracy, connections, and navigation. The learning curve is initially steep, but gets easier. It does require consistent use to be good at the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a very small team, I can handle HIPAA compliance and be on my way to SOC2 compliance. Because I can assign tasks, I can manage where my team spends their time and I can see the progress and the ultimate goal
