Vanta makes SOC 2 and InfoSec compliance achievable and far less painful
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has transformed the way we approach compliance by automating evidence collection, monitoring controls, and integrating seamlessly with out tech stack (Google Workspace, AWS, Slack etc). The platform saves significant time, reduces manual overhead, and gives us real-time visibility into gaps. The guided workflows, audit preparation tools, and policy templates make it easier to stay on top of SOC 2 readiness.
What do you dislike about the product?
The depth of integrations is excellent, but can be a little USA vendor focused. Reporting could also be more customisable for different audiences (board, auditor, internal teams). These are relatively minor compared to the value it delivers overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is helping us streamline SOC 2 readiness and ongoing InfoSec governance by automating evidence collection, monitoring controls, and standardising policy management. Instead of manually chasing compliance tasks, the platform provides a clear dashboard view of priorities and progress, which saves our team time and reduces risk of missing critical requirements. The integrations with our existing systems ensures continuous monitoring and this has lifted our confidence when engaging auditors and enterprise clients. Ultimately, Vanta makes compliance less of a once-a-year scrabble and more of a continuous structure process that supports trust and growth.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta makes checking rules and risks very simple. It shows me where the weak spots are and gives steps to fix them. It feels like having a helper that keeps me on track every day.

Fewtimes the reminders pop up too often and it can feel a little busy. I wish it gave me more control to set when I want updates.

The platform is very intuitive, which helped us get up to speed quickly without requiring a long learning curve. We particularly value the automation features—it continuously monitors controls, collects evidence, and reduces a lot of the manual effort we previously had to deal with. The vendor management module is also a big plus for us, as it centralizes our vendor risk assessments and makes it much easier to track compliance across our supply chain.
Ease of use and ease of implementation stand out: onboarding was straightforward, the dashboards are clean and well-structured, and our team was able to start working productively in a short time. The Vanta UI is spectacular and very comfortable for me, as an auditor as well as for the clients.

It is very structured yet elaborate and easy to use. It makes things organized and easy to work. It is phenomenally integrated with A-SCEND. The customer support is quick, and things are easy to implement. I prefer using it frequently.

Although the customer support team has been responsive and helpful whenever I had questions or needed guidance, resolving certain issues required several back-and-forth emails. This was the case, for example, when I contacted them about a remediation policy that was not updating as expected.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta works like a super helper for keeping our company’s security and rules in place. It shows me everything in one spot so I don’t have to run around checking each tool. The way it sends updates and reminders makes my job a lot smoother.

A few settings are tricky to find, and I wish it had a simpler menu. It’s still great, but sometimes I wish it was more fun to use.

Additionally, I find Vanta's ability to aid non-security experts, including myself, in quickly understanding compliance requirements and auditing processes remarkably beneficial. The platform’s display of control assignments and audit progress keeps us aligned and updates our control management proactively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI could be cleaned up a little bit. There's the audit report, and there's controls. There's a lot of different similar screens that have a lot of intersections between the two. It would have been nice if those places were a little more seamless. Like, I find myself having to go back and forth between controls, evidence, tests, and the actual audit report. You have to constantly cycle through these and remember exactly where is what. It'd be more intuitive for me if these were all flows that kind of navigated into each other. So for instance, the tests themselves, it's not really clear. It doesn't show, at least in the table, like, what controls they map to. I have to remember how to actually access the audit report every time, and that's annoying. Everything seems piecemeal. It'd be nice if everything just linked to each other, especially even our evidence completion. Evidence is quite arbitrary. It would be nice if our tests and evidence directly correlated to which controls they map to.
