* No provision to put a container image in exception, some images are maintained by google cloud function and we can't do anything about that.
* Vanta agent is not there for M1 and sometime high cpu usage, so killing manually is the only option.

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta automatically tracks compliance with many controls in cloud environments. They also respond to enhancement requests and deliver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor point. Originally, lack of agent monitoring support for windows servers. This has been addressed however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking all SOC2, ISO27001, and HIPAA controls. Vanta has also greatly improved overall security posture and eased the paperwork burden.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sign up well in advance of your SOC2 date to get up to speed. Vanta uncovers a lot of items that don't seem obvious and improve security tremendously.

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is automated. Checklist and continuous support from Vanta's Customer Success team. They even helped us connecting with different auditors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we've had false positive, our small bugs with beta integrations but they were very fast to fix them.

In the current day society, where vulnerability can occur anytime, Applications like these will focus on updated technology to identify vulnerabilities faster and with more efficiency. Big companies or companies with massive growth cannot keep an eye on every new infrastructure because it will take more time to fix it. Instead, they would love to use applications like vanta, which can take care of SOC2, HIPPA & ISO in one place.

It's a great tool to have, and it helps give you time to focus on business problems rather than compliance

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta connects seamlessly to your cloud infra, source code repo, issue tracker, etc. to bring daily reports of what you need to address from a security and compliance perspective right on its dashboard, making remediation super easy - it tells you exactly what to do and how to do it - tracking people, processes, infrastructure all in a single easy-to-understand report
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes their backend does not automatically detect corrective actions taken - like installation of the Vanta agent on employee laptops and may need you to reach out to their support for a resolution, which is quite fast though
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manual, tedious documentation process is extremely simplified with their ready to fill templates making it just right for your org's needs. You would not want to wade through tons of ISO template documents which some of the other firms give you, instead you would want a tool like Vanta to tell you exactly what needs to be done.
They also have a tremendous network of auditors which they will refer you and you can pick and choose whom you want to work with for the certification.

The regular alerts which notify if something goes wrong and the vulnerability scans

I would say the updated UI I kind of liked the way it was displaying information before

Sometimes the notifications are too many to handle, and it kind of clutter your productivity.

We were trying to get SOC2 type 1 and 2 certificates and using vanta we were able to achieve that milestone in lesser time comparatively.
