good tool to achieve SOC2 and 27001 certification
What do you like best about the product?
how I can easily manage people and computers to achieve the needed certifications for our company
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes sending reminders doesn't work. Also, you cant program a daily reminder for the people who are in fault
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the certification issue that our company needs. The real benefit is how easy I can manage everything for audits

I advise you to use it. Its simple and easy if you need to accomplish certifications for companies

The best tool to go through security audits
What do you like best about the product?
Automations and immediate reactions if something goes wrong with a company set up regarding privacy and security. In addition, it helps companies to speed up the security audit processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of built-in security and HIPAA training could be better, since auditors usually request to see the chapters and topics of those training, but Vanta provides video only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve the security and privacy compliance. Vanta helps us not to spend many hours checking if the company complies with all the requirements and makes security officer life much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just give it a try, and you'll get the evidence that life without Vanta could be a nightmare for the security team.
Simplifies something incredibly complex
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has an intuitive and well-designed interface that makes it very easy to see all of the different areas of my business that need to be monitored for Soc 2 compliance. They automatically generate to-do task lists that make a huge process digestible. The platform connects to a ton of different services I already use, making otherwise manual tasks automatic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta errs on the side of caution in terms of what needs to be monitored for compliance, and prompts you to setup reporting or documentation for areas that many auditors will not look at or need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with large enterprise customers that have rigorous information security standards. Accordingly, we need to retain Soc-2 certification, and Vanta makes this as simple as possible.

Sometimes receiving the alert every day may feel overwhelming

We're making sure that our software source code is secure and only the rigth developers have access to it

The dashboard is very intuitive and clear to understand

There are no ways to auto remediate the issues, for example AWS issues can be automagically remediated

Vanta is a great solution for obtaining platform compliance for start-ups
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to get started and complete the checklists. I like the embedded templates and ability to edit them. The vanta team is very engaged to make sure we are successful.

Vanta is adding features but early on there were some gaps on our security training integrations and some of the reporting.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a customer for more than 3 years and in reflection of the journey with Vanta, they have kept every promise they made about what their software could do to help us. Having seen the product evolve quite a bit over the last 3 years, it's pretty easy to see that they've thought of everything, the product works, something we rely and depend on, and we've done 2 successful audits with independent auditors in a fraction of the time. The Team is amazing, always open to ways to make the product better also. Highly recommend working with them - incredible product and great team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of what I used to dislike got updated like small UX stuff over the last 3 years of being a customer. We'd love to see more of the compliance framework being offered by Vanta in a multi-product suite so that in the future we can buy all the capabilities we need (MDM, IT assets management, etc) from 1 provider, which will be Vanta!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being compliant against the SOC 2 framework, with evidence to then be able to work with independent 3rd party auditors to gain a clean SOC 2 Type II report. That's the main goal of how we've used the product to date.

It's a no brainer to use Vanta, so stop reading this review and just go use it already :)
Best Compliance on the Market
What do you like best about the product?
The quality of the app and, more importantly the expertise of the company is just fantastic. I've been a customer for a while, and couldn't be happier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish they had a bigger product offering. They handle all the compliance stuff great, but I can't wait until they expand their offering.

We use them to handle SOC2 etc

Invaluable Tool for Achieving SOC2 (and others) Readiness
What do you like best about the product?
Foremost Vanta has a relatively rich integration network for connecting your cloud apps that are in scope for your audit. They also have a solid partner network to work with if you do not currently have an audit firm.
The speed of developing new features is unheard of - product wish list items that I bring up are frequently "in progress" or "launching next quarter". Great product vision that really seems to understand the pain points and needs of this industry.

What do you dislike about the product?
The integration list is growing monthly, but if you utilize an app outside of their built-in integrations, you'll still need to manually collect evidence to support that application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would not have the bandwidth to get SOC2 ready without a tool like Vanta. The ability to take this process at our own pace and integrate in to our current tech stack where needed to automate information is invaluable to a small team working to achieve SOC2 compliance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize your customer success team - they are well versed in the platform and process and are a great resource outside of your audit team. I would also recommend utilizing an auditor from their network so they're familiar with the platform and it's strengths as well as limitations.
