Unparalleled visibility
What do you like best about the product?
We brought Vanta onboard to shift left to continuous compliance and add SOC 2 to our existing ISO 27001 certification. The platform has made both moves tremendously easy, ensuring we have unparalleled visibility into a complex environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding a SOC 2 auditor familiar with Vanta and handling UK timezones limited our choices, though Vanta were very helpful in providing introductions and we're very happy with the auditor we selected

We brought Vanta onboard to shift left to continuous compliance and add SOC 2 to our existing ISO 27001 certification. It has massively reduced the overhead required around this, whilst increasing our visibility

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of Vanta removes so much stress from the entire certification process
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little! The only thing I could say is that Vanta perhaps makes the process too easy, such that it can be difficult to understand what can/should be done above and beyond their own suggestions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The amount of time spent completing documentation and policies, but important the daily monitoring makes the audit stress free

What do you like best about the product?
Vastly reduces the time to SOC 2 compliance & certification. Can delegate specific compliance tasks to junior employees for a high-leverage process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs clearer scoping and feedback loops between SOC 2 controls, available policy choices, and auditors' opinions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us stay in compliance with SOC2 audits continuously, without us needing to set up audit or compliance operations for it.
Great customer experience and usability
What do you like best about the product?
customer experience/success manager has been great as we get further along in SOC2, Type II
What do you dislike about the product?
No in-app policy editor/manager makes more of a process on our end to manage the policies, but once complete it is easy to manage in Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is helping us manage our SOC2, Type II compliance. The benefit is obvious with a clearly-defined list to work towards and the ability to give access to a third party.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
After weighing a lot of other options, Vanta had the most complete set of tools, a great user experience, and excellent customer support.

Vanta is so intuitive and has great built-in controls

At the beginning having 2 Vanta accounts was a little bit messy.

Vanta is our dashboard for security, vulnerabilities and employee onboarding. Vanta has automated monitoring over all our cloud resources that help us to be more organized.

Use Vanta regardless of needing any compliance or certification, it helps you to be more organized.

What do you like best about the product?
I most appreciate the supporting resources that are available directly with each requirement (e.g., templates, samples, and external references). We have also had a pretty good experience with our account rep and with customer support. Finally, the partner program Vanta has with auditors and that our audit happens directly in Vanta. Also, all the past "things I dislike" were missing features at that time... that now Vanta has added. So I appreciate that they really listen to client requests/needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're getting priced out of Vanta over time. We're only in our second year using it, but when every new feature/functionality costs thousands more dollars, I have a hard time justifying the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small tech startup that does not have anyone on staff or even an MSP for security or IT. A few of us without much experience in security are collaborating to get us compliant with standards that will help us with business development. Vanta is making that possible. We could not do it without a tool like this.

It is not invasive. It does what it says and nothing more. No cpu spikes or heavy ram usage

Some things:
- There are a few minor improvements to the admin UI that can be made smarter (less clicking)
- The overview does not auto refresh when a task is handled - so it needs an auto refresh instead
- The Vanta agent sometimes needs a manual restart to refresh the HD encryption
