Vanta is more than just a compliance tool.
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Vanta is its ability to manage compliance across various frameworks. The platform offers a wide range of templates and policy generators, ensuring that you don't overlook any required sections for your compliance needs. Vanta also integrates with numerous vendors, allowing for automated testing of both user management and potential vulnerabilities within your infrastructure. While it's possible to handle these tasks manually, doing so would require the entire team's effort and would consume a significant amount of time and resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta performs all its functions smoothly and without any issues. My main complaint is that certain features, such as detailed role and permission management, are only available in the higher-priced plans. But overall, the core functionality works as expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta significantly speeds up the evidence collection process because many of the tests are automated, removing the need for manual work. This dramatically reduces the time required for compliance, and tasks that would typically need one or two full-time employees are handled automatically by Vanta.
Going manually through the list of controls provided in ISO 27001 or SOC2 can give you headaches, as the list is extensive and some of it requires additional sources to explain what is required.
Vanta has all controls connected to tests, policies, and documents, and additionally, it gives a clear explanation of what each control or test means and how to fulfill it.

What do you like best about the product?
SOC 2 compliance is not easy to manage especially for a small team. Vanta keeps us focused on what is important making the audit period much easier to manage and remain compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is missing some important integrations. For example, it integrates with cloud environments well but not with on-prem solutions. For example, we had to integrate Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager with Intune to easily integrate with Vanta.

It is helping us maintain our SOC 2 Type II compliance

It provides the best security for the software solution for an entire company.

The pricing point is little bit higher comparing with others.

Vanta Helps Me Handle Risks Better
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta makes checking rules and risks very simple. It shows me where the weak spots are and gives steps to fix them. It feels like having a helper that keeps me on track every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fewtimes the reminders pop up too often and it can feel a little busy. I wish it gave me more control to set when I want updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps me stay sure that we are following the right rules and not missing anything important. It makes it easy to track risks and prove we are safe to others. This saves stress and gives me peace of mind that our work is done the right way.

I really enjoy using Vanta because it makes reviewing client security questionnaires so much easier. The AI provides suggested answers based on previously completed questionnaires, which is not only faster and more efficient, but also makes it much easier for new team members to get involved in the process.

As a new member of the team, this has been especially helpful, since it not only speeds things up but also makes it easier for me to get involved and contribute right away.
The Vanta UI is spectacular and very comfortable for me, as an auditor as well as for the clients.

It is very structured yet elaborate and easy to use. It makes things organized and easy to work. It is phenomenally integrated with A-SCEND. The customer support is quick, and things are easy to implement. I prefer using it frequently.

It's auto download feature for evidence.

I appreciate Vanta’s streamlined integration process, making it easy to incorporate tools like AWS and GitHub quickly. I value how Vanta has helped enhance our SOC 2 compliance roadmap and effectively manage projects without needing a program manager. Its project management tool is crucial for team alignment and accountability. Additionally, I find Vanta's ability to aid non-security experts, including myself, in quickly understanding compliance requirements and auditing processes remarkably beneficial. The platform’s display of control assignments and audit progress keeps us aligned and updates our control management proactively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the UI could be cleaned up a little bit. There's the audit report, and there's controls. There's a lot of different similar screens that have a lot of intersections between the two. It would have been nice if those places were a little more seamless. Like, I find myself having to go back and forth between controls, evidence, tests, and the actual audit report. You have to constantly cycle through these and remember exactly where is what. It'd be more intuitive for me if these were all flows that kind of navigated into each other. So for instance, the tests themselves, it's not really clear. It doesn't show, at least in the table, like, what controls they map to. I have to remember how to actually access the audit report every time, and that's annoying. Everything seems piecemeal. It'd be nice if everything just linked to each other, especially even our evidence completion. Evidence is quite arbitrary. It would be nice if our tests and evidence directly correlated to which controls they map to.

Vanta watches our systems all the time and shows if something is unsafe. It makes checking security rules faster and easier. The dashboard is clean, so I can spot problems quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It points out very tiny issues that are not risky, and I still have to spend time fixing them. It would be nice if it could sort big risks from small ones better.

Vanta helps me find security gaps before they turn into real problems. It also keeps all compliance proof ready for audits, which saves hours of work. Now, I can focus more on real threats instead of just chasing reports.
