Game changer!
What do you like best about the product?
Qovery has redefined how we approach deployment, making it an effortless journey. Coming from a background where the complexities of Kubernetes and cloud interfaces could easily overwhelm, Qovery has been a breath of fresh air. The best part? It combines the flexibility of AWS and Kubernetes with the ease of a PaaS, offering a dynamic environment where we can deploy anything from background tasks to databases without breaking a sweat.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Qovery's core features shine, there are moments when its full potential requires a bit of a learning curve. Navigating through the full interfaces (UI, Terraform, API...) and understanding the intricacies behind the scenes can be challenging at times. It can sometimes be overkill for our needs, but I'm sure it'll be beneficial when we're at a more advanced stage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gone are the days of wrestling with Kubernetes intricacies and grappling with AWS configurations. Qovery steps in as a true problem solver, allowing us to focus entirely on our products rather than being bogged down by infrastructure woes. This shift has translated into rapid development cycles, quicker time-to-market, and a streamlined workflow. As we harness Qovery's power, we experience the liberation of concentrating on what truly matters
Huge help allowing us to focus on our own product value
What do you like best about the product?
Qovery has been an absolute help to release our product live in production. In a very short period, we were able to transition from Heroku (which was expensive and still required us to configure infrastructure stuff on AWS on our side) to Qovery, and set up a full running environment with our data stores, all without a deep infrastructure knowledge.
Our usage of Qovery grows smoothly with our needs, and we were for example able to add pre-prod environments or more complex build/testing workflows in just a few changes.
In short, the positive points for us have been:
- don't focus on infra aspects, liberate us time to focus on our core product value
- easy to use, easy to self-host internal tools, no need for DevOps role
- ability to rely on the AWS infrastructure (reliability and low cost)
- availability and quality support

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we are not autonomous enough to find/debug problems: lack of context and details in deployment errors, not enough proactive actions to help in the console. This required us to manually contact the support multiple times and created small frictions.
But, they improved the capability to browse deployment/live execution logs recently, and continuously release useful improvements and features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limit time on infrastructure aspects, a tool having the expertise to orchestrate our cloud needs, allowing us to focus on our own product value (especially when having limited resources)
Coming from Heroku, Qovery is a much more flexible product with an amazing customer care
What do you like best about the product?

Qovery enables us to have servers located in the regions we want with a developer experience almost as good as Heroku
Platform engineering is future, and Qovery is simply an heavyweight in this discipline!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy peasy application deployments. Isolation of concerns. Ease of use. Improved team workflow and autonomy with Preview Env. And automatic cost reduction through hierarchical rules.
But great team too! Reactive, always there to help us with a smile, a clear and user-centric roadmap, you can see your ideas come to fruition if they make sense, and often they do as a user!

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a big fan of Hashicorp Nomad, and I think K8 has more infrastructure costs and complexity, but it's an indefinite debate, and I'm happy that we can use K8 so simply with Qovery!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our development and Q&A workflow, we can quickly isolate all development and testing releases at a glance. IT and support teams are faster and more autonomous thanks to high automation. And as a Platform Engineer, I can control workflows while leaving autonomy to the teams.
We don't need a DevOps engineer because we have Qovery
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to use and very efficiently manages the complex parts of deployment. CD, Auto Scaling, customising resources and setting up domains etc is very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only HTTP(s) ports are publicly exposed. Any non 443 ports are only exposed internally to cluster. While this works for like 99.9% of the cases, sometimes it can be limiting and would love to see this in upcoming versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing, Scaling and deploying a complex stack on multiple environments is a pain. People typically use Kubernetes with helm charts to get this done. Typically this requires at least 2 DevOps engineer working on this. Using Qovery we don't need any. Just need to configure the app once (and its easy) and then everything else is taken care of automatically. It helps keeps our team lean, makes sure that there are no issues/bugs with the deployment and automation/scaling infra.
Qvoery: Create your cloud infrastructure with no complexity
What do you like best about the product?
We moved from Heroku to Qovery with a monolith and some microservices. We liked being able to use Terraform for managing all our infrastructure.
Qovery's dashboard is straightforward to use and the team is always responding in few minutes!

What do you dislike about the product?
Terraform is not matching all dashboard's options yet. We contributed to improving the terraform provider on GitHub. The Qovery team was reactive, and the PR was merged in few hours!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduced costs on AWS infrastructure without managing a complex Kubernetes

Great tool. Works with multiple cloud hosting platforms. Abundant features and options. Excellent support. Innovative roadmap.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things you need to do in your environment variables to make Docker work correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
App deployments on Kubernetes.
Docker's flexibility with the ease of a PaaS
What do you like best about the product?
When I first learned about Docker I loved the idea of being able to have utilities like a cache server, or streaming server, or any database by simply copying a Dockerfile from Docker Hub.
Bringing this idea to production requires challenges like orchestrating with Kubernetes and the complexity of cloud provider network interfaces. Or worse, the madness of permissions management like AWS's IAM.
Qovery removes all the insecurities and allows you to have an application with components as diverse as background tasks, databases, test environments, environment variables and even Cron tasks running in seconds. Without all the hassle.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are still challenges to overcome, and you need to know what's going on behind the scenes to get the most out of it, but the documentation is a marvel and there are new articles regularly! And on the forum is the Qovery team always ready to help and get their hands dirty.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kubernetes management on AWS made simple. It is now possible to have a very customized deployment of almost anything you can imagine without having to configure network interfaces and manage permissions.
Qovery is truly a game changer for startups looking to manage infrastructure.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use UI for provisioning and managing AWS services.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about Qovery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Qovery is helping us provision and manage our AWS infrastructure using industry best practices without having to be an expert in AWS or DevOps.
