FlowFuse - an impressive low-code tool for data and systems integration
What do you like best about the product?
Adds enterprise-level security, interoperability and administration features to the widely known Node-RED low code IOT visual programming tool. It's quick to learn (our pilot project team developed integrations in half the time we estimated) and runs reliably. It's aimed at moderately technical people who understand the systems that they are integrating, and it makes life for those people much easier. We chose to deploy it in our own data centres, which worked well, and a variety of SaaS options are also available. We were easily able to configure the platform for single-sign-on and MFA. On the few occasions we have needed support we have been speaking to an experienced engineer within an hour, and had the problem resolved quickly. The system has been running some key system integrations for us for the last year, and we are looking to expand our use across many more projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Less suitable for non-technical users, so in a different space than some business-focused automation tools that hide the technology. That's not necessarily a criticism - it depends who your users are.
The self-hosting options for large installations are best suited for organizations with modern private cloud infrastructure.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration between corporate IT systems running on-premises and externally hosted SaaS systems, some involving complex integration logic, e.g. filtering and enriching data before delivering it, handling business events and using them to trigger multiple processes. Over the next year this is expected to eliminate a large amount of currently manual work and give users a near-real-time view of the data they need.
Best low-code platform ever!
What do you like best about the product?
FlowFuse is the best and professional way to host Node-RED on cloud. Node-RED allows you to develop applications, integrations, user interfaces in a visual, fast, drag and drop way, using no-code, or low-code concept. FlowFuse is not VPS rental, but instances rental. You have no headaches like virtual machine and security administration. There are many other features, such as remote instances administration, easy setup, flows versioning, git integration, one-click deply, built-in mqtt server, custom domain for instances, multi-user dashboards, and so on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, you have to look hard to find a negative point. If I had to list one, I would say that the management of multiple users and permissions on the dashboard could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast proof of concept presentation, rapid ideas implementation, app development flexibility without having to resort to outsourced works.
An essential tool for Node-RED in IIoT applications
What do you like best about the product?
I'm using FlowFuse to manage distributed Node-RED instances in an industrial IoT setup. What I really like is the ability to keep track of flow versions, deploy changes in a controlled way, and have full audit logs of who did what. The fact that it's open source is a big plus. Together with Node-RED, FlowFuse feels like a Swiss Army knife for IIoT. Lightweight, flexible, and extremely useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there’s not much I dislike. If I had to mention something, it would be that getting started with some of the more advanced features might require a bit of a learning curve—especially if you're new to managing multiple Node-RED instances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m using FlowFuse to connect industrial machines with existing systems like ERP and MES. It also helps me automate processes across different machines by linking them together through Node-RED. With FlowFuse, I can manage everything centrally, keep track of changes, and roll out updates reliably—even across multiple locations. That saves time and avoids chaos in production environments.
