A system full of Information in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the alerts produced by the system, which allow me to review the accuracy of the information presented to me and then decide which course of action I need to take.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lack of automated analytic and reporting capabilities available for those who need to report on what is coming through the system and then turn that into an appropriate narrative to show the system's worth. However, with that said, our support manager has been really helpful in assisting us with this angle to a certain degree.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still in the early stages of using the system and developing the algorithms. Still, in essence, it can give us the ability to decide to inform those that need to make an informed decision regarding what next steps are required, if any!

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time alerting and the costumer service is just great. Dataminr is a must-have provider for everyone in the industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at the moment, I'm satisfied with the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The apparent benefit to me is definitely the real-time alerting, which helps a lot to stay up to date with literally anything from all around the world or monitor the development of various events.
Dataminr has a wonderful support team!
What do you like best about the product?
The greatest upside to using Dataminr is its seemingly endless potential. You get out of the tool what you put in, and becoming a Dataminr subject matter expert can exponentially assist in intelligence gathering. Their support team has been extremely helpful through my Security Operations Centers learning process of the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no true downsides to using dataminr, however, there is a bit of a learning curve that you have to overcome to fully understand the tools capabilities. This requires at times, multiple sessions with the support team and a number of trainings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dataminr has helped our team increase our intelligence outputs. We are continually being notified of incidents that have the potential to impact our business operations in a timely manner. This allows my team to draft a quick intelligence product that we can send to leadership and any potentially impacted assets.

What do you like best about the product?
Dataminr is easy to use with robust capabilities and frequent improvements. For situational awareness purposes, Dataminr is essential to track security and geopolitical developments around the globe. Additionally, the Customer Success team at the company is always helpful and a pleasure to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Dataminr is one of the best tools in its field, that comes with a price tag that is sometimes difficult to justify to senior leadership. However, the company is willing to work with your needs to find an amenable solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company uses Dataminr to identify security and geopolitical situations in real-time to assess the potential impact to our assets and personnel. This has allowed us to make notifications to leadership in a timely and effective manner, which has proven invaluable. Additionally, we use Dataminr to research incidents, upcoming events, mentions of our company, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides quality customized alert options for our various sites to stay situationally aware of things that could impact the safety or continuity of our business
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still fairly new users of the system so are working to adjust our alerts for relevance, which does take some getting use to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dataminr allows for proactive notifications as opposed to reactive based on what we see on local and national news as well as other sources. Our team has been aware of incidents occurring around our sites ahead of employees or others asking us about them which is a large benefit.

What do you like best about the product?
Experience with Dataminr has been overwhelmingly positive. From using the application daily to the customer service representatives - they deliver excellent work each time. The real-time alerts on incidents near and far have been the pinnacle to the success of this product. The company has the most helpful employees, and working with them is just one e-mail/ call away—no hassle when you want to learn how to use the product. The product gets even better when you're an expert user, so fun learning all the way through. The resources are there, and once you get started, you won't want to stop—the global real-time alerts you need, when you need them (now). The leadership and growth this company has shown are phenomenal. As a long-time user, seeing the product updated to where it's at now means there were so many hard-working people - with a great vision behind this beautiful product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Good luck finding something to dislike. The company seems to be evolving every month. Just look at their app update history, and you'll see that they push out an update every month (sometimes even twice a one month). Just this alone shows they strive for perfection. They meet quality rather than quantity. Ask me a year ago, and I would probably say at first that the volume of information was a bit overboard. Still, when you review the notifications you don't need, look at the category and go back to the settings and uncheck the box - then you won't be bombarded with unnecessary information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product has been a godsend—all the real-time (as well as historical) data at our fingertips. Most benefits come when crucial information needs collection on an event or incident in real-time. This product would be great for not only security but any company that would require data right now. Imagine when this product tells you things that are happening minutes or even hours before the local news stations report it on Television. You'd need to be glued to your phone on social media or elsewhere before you get the data you need, but with Dataminr - it's real-time alerts. This benefit alone is what makes them remarkable as a company. They know their product, and it delivers what's needed when it's needed.
