Intuitive, functional web platform with lots of customization
What do you like best about the product?
LOADS of customizing and design options, even with the free version. Hundreds of templates to choose from if you dont want to start from scratch. Easy to simply drag and drop layouts and formatting tools. Easy to add variety of widgets and apps. Easy to develop and design webpage. Even those with little to no website design background can easily apply the templates and tools to create a unique and attractive website. Simple and intuitive interface. Easy to upload media and doucuments. Site speed is very fast, even with lots of media incorporated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even thought it is to be expected, using the free site forces Wix branding on your website name. Depending how professional you want to look, you would want to choose a premium plan. Would be nice if there were more analytics available with the free version. While it provides many templates to choose from, it does not allow customization within those templates, which would be nice. Can be a little confusing orienting the desktop version to a mobile device. Overall, for the sole purpose of promoting our program and research, there is very little to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use of Wix has greatly benefited our research lab's and program's online presence. Has been a great way to share our projects and reach potential research partners and collaborators.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a complete package in website design, this is it. The options and capabilites of the free version alone make it worth it, as long as you do not mind the Wix branding on the website URL.

I haven't seen any flaws with this tool as it's performance in website building is great.

This tool makes it easy to manage websites contents.

Wix is very ideal tool for websites building,editing and hosting this anybody should purpose to use it.
I love wix bookings! It keeps me from having to spend too much time with scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
Wix bookings is helpful in managing my schedule and automating appointments without me having to to talk directly to the clients, it gives them the power to choose the times that work best for them in the allotted times I have given.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it didn't assign a price and I could use it more like a scheduling tool vs as someone booking a class.
The downside is that once I set it up I can't transfer the data easily to a different scheduling tool if they came out with one and I'd have to set it all up again.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that it gives me time back in my day by allowing my clients to do their own scheduling of time vs me having to handle it.
It has not only helped me organize my content for my clients to view and decide what they need, it gives them the power to book a consultation with me based on the times that work for them.

You can use this tool for more than just yoga or dance classes or anything that has a set time. I use it as a way to let My clients book consultations with me according to both our schedules, because I already have it set up with times that work best for me, so it takes the time out of my day that I would

Excellent Web Design Service
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is the easiest website builder I've ever used. As a designer, I like the open canvas it gives me to fully display what I visualize for the website. It really makes building the website you imagine easy because it doesn't box you in with pixel counts, coding or the limits of a grid-based drag and drop system. That being said, they have a nifty search feature that assists with this tremendously!
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of tools at your disposal are enormous. Even though this is great, it makes finding what you want to do very difficult. It takes a while to learn where are the different tools are. However, once you get the hang of it, the web building process is smoooooooothh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently use Wordpress for our main website, and although it's nice, it's not really flexible when you have to build a landing page with short notice due to all our special events. Wix makes it easy to make an event specific site with a custom domain (or subdomain) and allows us to have a beautiful interface with minimal work and attention. For example, we were in the middle of switching website builders (Ministry Designs to Wordpress). I knew if I built a custom webpage for an event months in advance, I would have to recreate it once the new website launched. Instead, I built a simple beautiful landing page site where people could register and pay for the event without accessing the parent website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the costs of hosting, security, etc. Also consider the time you'll spend with the support teams for endless plugin issues, updates, regular security maintenance, etc. Wix takes care of all of this for pennies on the dollar. It's a no-brainer.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very user-friendly and has much more customizations available. I was able to build a professional-looking website easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Wix uses your email user name as part of your URL unless you upgrade for a custom one.

Being able to create websites for all uses.
Great Marketing Tools as a Wix-er!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature on Wix is the video making and marketing tools. I do have to pay a subscription to be able to use the Video making tool on Wix and send newsletters to my subscribers, but it is really worth it. The number of videos I can create is endless and I never run out of any music to match my videos with. It helps me market my products a lot faster than hiring an agency because I can create the videos on my own. As an artist and designer, I like to create my own products, not buy other people's products. It's a way to be artistic, creative, innovative, and productive! I have a lot of fun creating high quality videos and uploading them onto my social media. I save A LOT of money doing this and not hiring a social media marketing staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I am limited to how many videos I can create. Although I can create many videos and newsletters with the Wix Marketing feature, I wish there were more possibilities in creating the video. I wish it could automatically link my videos to other types of social media rather than limited to Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube, and Instagram. The Wix platform is designed to help businesses that provide service, not online stores. I had to create a Shopify store outside of Wix to create a sales part in my business, Kristie Kim Design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems linking websites to Wix. For example, Shopify is not partnered with Wix, which means I have to upload products separately on my Wix store and Shopify store. To make my life easier, I ended up linking the Shopify store to my Wix account so that I don't have to spend too much time uploading products onto my store. It is a lot of work and brainpower involved to generate traffic to the store but Wix has features that allow me to link the store to the website. I started off creating a Wix account to showcase my art and design portfolio, but now, it's a sales business where customers can purchase products from my store. I think the Wix product store looks unprofessional compared to the Shopify store.

Wix’s templates all look like designer websites. There are hundreds to choose from, and the designs are bang up to date with the latest trends

The only criticism I had when starting with Wix is that it can feel overwhelming. There’s so much choice – in templates, features and customization – that it takes a few minutes to settle into the platform

What do you like best about the product?
Wix makes everything simple when it comes to creating practical web applications for our organization. Its interface is pleasant and straightforward; it also contains excellent functions to help us manage our code in a correct, agile, and, above all, straightforward way. Wix also puts at our disposal a very attentive customer service team.

It has excellent features but does not have the best support team; sometimes, we have found perfect solutions online due to their team's delay in providing solutions.

It has excellent features and provides tools to make it easier to develop web-oriented projects. Its interface is simple and pleasant enough to give a good user experience, plus its features make code management and website creation much more straightforward.

Wix is worth having; it provides valuable tools and features in building for every developer or web development team. In my organization, we have been able to get outstanding web-oriented projects off the ground, and that is why I recommend it.
