If you plan to do anything e-commerce related do NOT use Wix
What do you like best about the product?
Wix's website building tools are pretty nice- getting mobile ready layouts and some beautiful basic designs are really cool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Under no circumstances should you ever consider using Wix for ecommerce or if you care at all about privacy due to the fact that you can't install SSL certificates- basically you're allowing others to snoop your browsing activity by not allowing for encryption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a website quickly for my coffee shop and it's doing the trick there, but we can't use any of the ecommerce features due to the lack of SSL. We'll likely be migrating away from WIX when our term is up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a simple, basic just web hosting tool for a single page (for example, "here are my hours, here is my location") Wix is fine. If you plan on transacting any actual business on the site, avoid Wix.
Incredible website building with Wix
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is straightforward. It's WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). One cannot blame Wix, one has to blame his or her abilities to click and copy/paste. The creation of pages is easy, fast, and intuitive. When you sign in, Wix drives you step-by-step towards your dream page.
Wix works for you, it deals with your menus and sub-menus, it has easier integration with social media ( even in the free plan).
The Apps are powerful. If you want to start your Call-To-Action plan, wix is there to perform at its best.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how the site name appears, username.wixsite.com/sitename. I think this should be reduced to simply sitename.wix.com other builders do. I know this forces clients to go premium, but it is cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am starting my business. I have not set up yet, but I have created my sample site as an exercise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is a site-builder of very high quality. If you want an easy to navigate site, mobile-friendly, and of high performance, wix is for you. I love Wix because it outperforms other site builders that are difficult to use. Another advantage is that Wix is better when comes to comparison service/value.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the how easy it is to create a simple or even a large website, I created a website that has 117 pages and they are all connecting so its easy for patrons to find what they are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
WIX is not super friendly with HTML Coding therefore if you are trying to embed something to your website you have to use an app that will allow you to add more features and sometimes it does not even work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of access for Patrons, less drop down menus and more functions. Allows them to find more of what they need on one page or having a button to advance to a new page.
Great and simple tool for building websites
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of themes, their website editor, the ability to add extension from their store. You can do almost everything on wix using those apps in their store! Websites always come out beautiful. The editor for mobile sites is very easy to use and delivers a simple mobile site in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some basic features there that are unclear, a lot of times I found myself struggling with background images being too big and can't be moved or changed, spaces between parts of the websites too big and can't be dragged to adjust. Some configurations are really hard to find or understand and required that I ask for help (I consider myself a progressed user so that's very rare).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to launch a website for my small business and keep costs to the minimum. With the Wix platform I've done that so easily. Building the website took literally one day of work, and then a few extra hours for modifications. People are really impressed by my website and they can't believe it's on Wix!
Premium features on Wix also allowed me to make the modifications I needed, even though I decided not to go with building an online store on my site because prices were a bit too high.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very easy to start a website on Wix, it's even easier to make it look beautiful. If your trying to save on money and don't want to pay a developer to create your website for you- Wix is wonderful for that. So many options available you just have to look through.
They almost always have sales and special offers on their premium plans so if you're debating about the price, wait another week or two and they will definitely create some sort of sale.

Great for quick, easy, beautiful websites
What do you like best about the product?
I love this site. It is incredibly easy to use and it creates gorgeous sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I haven't found anything I'm not a fan of. It's truly a wonderful product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am in the process of creating my online portfolio using the paid version of this site. It is quick and easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Seriously, this is amazing. Worth paying the money to remove the ads to add professionalism. But, the free version is just as fantastic.

I honestly do not have a negative thing to say about Wix. Love it!

During the interview process with my current employer, they asked for examples of my work. Rather than send them a bunch of individual files I was able to create an online portfolio which showed my sophistication and quality as a potential candidate.

What do you like best about the product?
The building and design platform on Wix is one of the easiest I have ever used. The websites that you can create just from the standard templates are completely stunning.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to change templates without having to rebuild an entire site would be so welcomed. It's not a major hindrance but it could be improved.

Being able to design a website without a web designer is amazing. You can streamline the process and create great work without adding another person to the payroll.

It has freedom of creation in every way you can imagine, great gadgets for free, you can build a 100 per cent personalized website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its lowest cost plan for signature still shows advertisement.

I could build a perfect website for my portfolio and blog.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In wix you can manage all features and personalize them, even being able to download your own fonts to your website. You are able to design every inch of your site and its easy and fast to do so. You can also have a blog and download videos from vimeo and youtube, while in wordpress you can only download vimeo and in blogger you can only download youtube.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Wix tools though it's not my website design builder of choice, I have used Wix in the past. Websites turn out clean and very responsive. Not only is it easy to use, Wix does most of the work for you using the New ADI method.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my experience in the past, the pricing strategy that Wix have can cut into budgets.
