Great for beginners but results are poor
What do you like best about the product?
Seemingly straightforward interface is useful for beginners
What do you dislike about the product?
Poorly designed websites with no or limited SEO customisation offer limited potential to site owners. Flexibility of customisation of design is poor. Basic site functionality sometimes chargeable as 'extras'
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provide websites for small clients.

Evaluate a range of other options including open source platforms and free or premium templates/themes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly and intuitive Wix is. Other website platforms are much more complicated to navigate. I also like how easy it is to navigate. It's easy to explain to my coworkers when they have to log on to do things as well. The customer support was also good over Wix call center, they answered my questions both times I called.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how limiting some things are within the website builder. Because there is such a high level of customization within the site in order to accomodate the vast types of users, some things aren't possible within the platform. I also strongly dislike that there is no online chat help. There is only calling, and often times they are so backed up they can't pick up your call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for our agency's website to show to prospective clients and partners.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are searching for a platform that is minimal effort and easy to pick up on with little technological experience, Wix is the one for you.
On-line web designing and hosting platform with plenty of options
What do you like best about the product?
This on-line platform is one with most options that I saw until now. User interface is well designed, commands are logical and intuitive. There are plenty of intenational fonts to choose from, there are many templates, photos and all other sort of multimedia that is needed to build an interesting website. During designing it's easy to make switches from desktop and mobile versions of web-site.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Speed of this platform is very bed. I'm not so sure if this based on my location (EU) or web browser (FIREFOX 64-bit) but wotking with soo muche delay is very problematic.
2. Premium price web hosting plans are mostly overpriced. VIP plan have, by my humble opinion, an acceptable price, but all others are too expensive.

Simple and elegant web designing that is easy to understand and work with. It's easy to make a desktop and mobile version of web-site without any problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As a web designing platform, if there are no speed problems, it's a very good solution with plenty of options.
As a free web hosting this platform is also very acceptable. As a payed web hosting platform, is overpriced (except most expensive plan "VIP" that is acceptable by my point of view).

Wix - Easy and cute, when you take your time.
What do you like best about the product?
Its super easy and has a lot of awesome features. If you take your time and look around you can easily make your website look great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it stalls and takes a minute to load. It also scrolls funny sometimes making it frustrating when I'm in a rush. But all very minor.

Easily edited website on the spot right when something needs to be changed we have control over it.

Drag and drop. It's easy to set up a full website in just a few hours

Having to pay to get rid of the logos, which make it look cheap.

It's great if you need a quick website builder that's easy to use.
Easy to use, even for the web programming newbie like me
What do you like best about the product?
The easy-to-use visual format of building a website has been a sanity saver for me. Although I have yet to take advantage of any apps, there are a couple I have my eye on to try out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used my business website for two types of business: freelance copywriting and photography. Although I love the template options for each, none quite blended the two together as I needed for both purposes. However, I have since put my freelance copywriting business on the backburner, allowing me to focus more on the photography side and thus making this "dislike" obsolete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saving is the biggest benefit of my Wix site. Also, when I converted from paid to free site, it allowed me to keep my template and did not make me redo a new website.

It's free, easy to use and allows you to use different templates

There are no many apps and implementations, it gets basic over time

I love how much freedom I have to design my website to fit my brand and needs. It made creating my website name quick and easy.

I wish it was a little more user friendly when creating new pages to link to your main menu.

It's been a great way to share my professional services in a way that fits my branding.

I wish there were more unique templates, We made several websites for various clients that need to look similar but it would be nice to have a few more "sleek" or "urban" templates to choose from.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to showcase information in an attractive and functional way, people use our websites all the time for easy access to information. We have seen an overwhelming response to our new "site"
