Quick to build sites, but inline editor is laggy
What do you like best about the product?
Wix has a better library of templates than competing sites and the time it took me to get my site online was very small.
What do you dislike about the product?
Any design changes that weren't directly out of the box on a template was doable, but required a lot of navigation through reopening menus versus all of the design options opening in a sidebar that would have let me make more changes at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to launch a portfolio website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for a standup portfolio site but best used by people who don't need heavy modifications or are familiar with other easier to use products.
Quick easy free websites
What do you like best about the product?
I like that this service provides a quick easy free website when needed! Its very easy to create a website and add elements and publish
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that i dislike about this service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a 1-page website to link some Real Estate virtual tours and this solved our need.
Simple Website Builder
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is a simple and intuitive tool to build simple websites that address our particular needs @ RealLifeInnovations.com
What do you dislike about the product?
I expected some of the functionality to be more streamlined and easier to use and there I had some challenges to build the Mobile experience (vs the Web experience)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are an early stage fund investing in startups. Most of our dealflow is coming from 1st or 2nd degree connections, so the website is used just to provide basic information about us.
Very Customizable and easy to use, wouldn't recommend for ECommerce.
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked how easy it was to customize a website on Wix. I've tried several different companies and I just couldn't get my site to look like how I wanted it on other sites like WordPress. I love how easy it was to drag and drop and move around your items.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not recommend using Wix for Ecommerce. It was not easy to update your products or keep track of them. I like to do so from a mobile phone soI can update at any time and it was very difficult to. I did not like the way they notified you for email sign ups or sales. Those are very important and it was not easy to keep track of. I do not like the blog feature at all. I do not like the way it shows up. It's not easy to update and freezes up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a website for my business to feature my work. I like how easy it is to make changes to my site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want a basic website and don't need a ton of features Wix is great. If you really want an easily customizable site Wix is great. If you want a bunch of features like shopping, email campaigns, data for analytics.... I would recommend something else.
Easy to use, creates websites fast
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of formatting you are able to customize

Some things can be hard to find out of the gate such as setting up custom email forms & messages.

Wix was used to bridge a time gap prior to new custom website development.

Easy to use and pricing is cost efficient. If you only need one quick website WIX is an easy way to build and get live quickly.
Wix can help anyone get a web site up in a short time

Wix.com offers a great tool to help anyone create a web site in a short amount of time. The free version is impressive and offers a lot of options, templates, and services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix.com has improved a lot since I first created a web site with it several years ago. There are more features now than before, so I'm even more impressed with it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with several volunteer groups that don't have a marketing budget to create a web site, so Wix.com offers a great option and terrific tools to look professional online.

Jump into the free version to see what you can create! Wix.com has added some even more features that make this product really great.
Templates can be tricky to use/modify
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use templates that are clean and straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone with HTML/web experience, using some of the templates was limiting. Couldn't add forms, integrate with Hubspot easily, etc.

Testing new site designs quickly without developer intervention.
Really Enjoy Working With WIX
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of design and the modern templates. It's quite easy to use and doesn't require knowledge of HTML. All templates can be made mobile responsive. Depending on which account you purchase, you can have as many pages as possible... this provides a great deal of flexibility. The animation options are good, though could be easily overdone if someone isn't careful :)
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could manipulate the HTML a bit more. It can be tedious to go through each mobile version to make sure each element is translating correctly but it's very important since the majority of our viewers are mobile viewers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to set up a website quickly and easily - Wix allowed us to do that and do it easily. We are able to optimize SEO and integrate our social media. We love that we can easily add in sales and that changing pages isn't a difficult process. It's great that I can create as many pages as I want... this allows me to copy and change the copies but keep the originals until I'm certain I no longer need it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an option that allows you to manage all elements of HTML, Wix isn't the option for you. However, if you want something that allows you to easily set up a modern design quickly. Be sure to have transparent images prepared so that the backgrounds of your images transfer seemlessly with the backgrounds on your website.
Easy to use web design
What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop features of WIX allow you to easily add modern looking content to your website. This is crucial for me, since I have no programming background.
What do you dislike about the product?
WIX is lacking features that are seen on other competitors websites. WIX needs to more quickly respond to customer requests for features. These features are what we want before we show off our website to our customers or friends.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using wix as a platform to show off new products with a customer-friendly interface that helps me highlight the features of my products.

It is a great for building a website. I would recommend Wix.
User Friendly Web Design
What do you like best about the product?
Great customer support and easy to use tools to build your own website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes can be a bit clunky with graphics and such. But usually customer support can help to resolve most issues.

Building websites for small businesses and blog pages. Good customer support.
