Wix is your fix

What do you like best about the product?
A spectacular interface with rich design and content tools make Wix an outstanding choice for economical web design and deployment. I've had an endless chain of compliments on the look and functionality of teh site I built.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, the design will lag. Also the grouping function can be a little thorny/dysfunctional, which makes the transition from web to mobile a bit painful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed to create a dynamic website for our new business without the immense cost of developers and web designers involved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for beginning website creation. Not friendly for customized coding.

User Friendly and Free

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly and the easy customization of Wix to build my online portfolio website. There were many templates to chose from, and you can make changes to the templates easily to make a site that fits your personal style and needs. As a marketing designer it was important to me to have a professional place to display my portfolio and work. Wix did a great job and was free for the version I used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer if you could use your own domain for free. I believe this is an upgrade so my site had to have the Wix.com extension in front of my website name. Although it is great to have a free site, this is one thing that I would change. More templates as well would be great for variety.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to have an online source for my portfolio and work examples that clients can easily visit. It is a benefit as my work speaks for itself and it is great to impress clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go out and find all of the great design templates available to really customize your site!

What do you like best about the product?
Very very easy to set up a site and hand over the keys to someone who isn't experienced in web design. Templates aren't the most complex, but that can be a good thing -- too many options or visual complexity can be a deterrent to some.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing images and content on the site can sometimes be a pain. Didn't find a photo gallery feature that quite matched up with our needs, though there are several ways to do it that will work for most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for a very quick turnaround when providing a website to folks who don't need bells and whistles, but ease of access and editing. Learning curve is easy for most levels of experience.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating a website without much prior knowledge is great, the drag and drop feature is good for beginners
You can make a great looking website in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not had any negative experiences using Wix.
It is very easy to use and the support provided is very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Wix to create multiple affiliate websites that all vary in what niche they specialize in.
After using Wix now for the past few months it has become even easier and quicker to create new websites which is great as it saves me a lot of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out for free and see how you like it.
It is extremely easy to get going and its fun as well.

What do you like best about the product?
At first, I thought editing a wix built website would have been as challenge as I was accustomed to Wordpress. Boy was I wrong. Now I wish all websites were as used friendly as WIX
What do you dislike about the product?
Absolutely nothing. WIX is VERY EASY to sue...even for technologically challenged persons

I am able to edit and modify or website on my own. I've had zero training

Much Better Platforms Out There

What do you like best about the product?
It's super simple, literally a child could create a makeshift website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything. There is no ability to change the actual code, different elements on the page would shift and move out of place or just not function correctly.

With not being able to code you only have access to basic SEO that isn't going to help you rank on Google if that's your goal.

A lot of elements have very few choices, so you're stuck with what they have. The free elements that you're able to use typically have some copyright, branded logo on the bottom unless you purchase an account and remove the logo.

Checkout WordPress, Squarespace, Bootstrap, or others before purchasing.

What do you like best about the product?
Wix Lets you build amazing websites with a very easy learning curve. You can use their great templates or start from scratch. There is also a very good media content available

I remember nothing I dislike on wix to be honest

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to get set up in a short time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more options for backgrounds or a way to narrow down the selection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drawing more business to my blog and I love the information that Wix provides including letting me know when a visitor is on my site.

What do you like best about the product?
I can create a website for a client in a day. It has a fairly intuitive interface with drag and drop functionality. I love the templates! And I'm so glad they finally support parallax scrolling and video backgrounds.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to include custom code. It doesn't always play nice with the prebuilt templates. Also, the analytics aren't as robust, but it does have a lot of app integrations to mediate that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a designer, it's allowed me to easily build responsive websites for my clients. The pre-built SEO optimization has helped me increase clients SERP rankings for niche markets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have a lot of experience coding, this is the platform to use. But don't expect a high level of support.
