Good for Fun
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is definitely for the first-time website builder. I like that it is so user friendly and I can recommend it to anyone looking to build a portfolio or personal website, and I've found it to be more flexible in some areas. They also have a lot of templates that make it easy to build a website in an hour. Crazy. The other thing I like is the marketplace (similar to widgets on Wordpress) that gives me options to add more features to sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike a lot only because I work in website development and it's frustrating when things are so square and not flexible. The designs and templates and definitely not as sleek as Squarespace, and the functionality is definitely not as much as Wordpress. Again, it's a good beginner website builder and more flexible than some other website builders – but long term, not the greatest solution, especially for ecommerce sites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I currently do not use Wix but I did use it quite a bit last year when I was making an online portfolio. It was one of the only solutions that gave me all the options I wanted, like adding in photo galleries just how I wanted, embedding videos at different sizes, changing fonts/text sizes, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Weigh all your options – I love Wordpress, but that's because I'm hosting elsewhere and can build my Wordpress site with more flexibility. Look at the pros and cons of Squarespace, Wordpress, Wix and Weebly before making a decision. It's no fun when you build out your whole website and then decide Wix isn't the right choice for your and is not going to make you happy long term – that's what happened to me.
Simplistic and Sophisictated
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the tools and flexibility. Also it is nice to have the option for their "robot" to create the site for you or completely design it yourself based on a template you select.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, just takes some patience to figure out the tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just explore and have fun. There are so many ways to really create a fresh, unique and custom design.

Drag and drop feature - saves a lot of time! The variety of templates is also impressive. Connecting to your own domains and integrations work well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure I dislike anything - maybe it could work just faster.

The ease of building a website is superb. I don't need to invest time and money for IT department.

Give it a try, it is really a lifesaver and landing pages are created in a moment!

The user friendliness...pretty easy to use if you have no graphic design expierence

Mine freezes sometimes, and moving template around can be difficult.

The ease of use. I'm not a techie and this platform is quite easy to navigate. Very modern layouts.

The templates on mobile devices are harder to create. Elements need to be arranged manually.

Able to market more - I helped make a website for a coaching business which was the first Social media presence for this business.

What do you like best about the product?
Wix is a great WYSIWYG website tool for all levels of web developers. Easy to use, click and drag technology, and easy to create multiple pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Making the websites more mobile friendly.

Customer contact forms is a great way to receive new business leads.

Wix is a super easy yet creative process to create original content and websites in order to maximize the potential to be seen no matter what type of business you run!
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now, the only thing about Wix I dislike is the confusing nature of the referral program and the ads they run. I have yet to figure out or get help on how to take advantage of the referral program which stinks because I have referred so many people to use their services!

Wix helps with SEO, content creativity, and stepping you through each page on the website and how to make it stand out and pop in search engines.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about using Wix is how convenient and easy it is to use. When creating your own site, you are able to choose from a set of themes that are based on your own personal style or aesthetic. They also ask questions about what it is you will be using this for-- to better create the modules that would be necessary for your site. For example, if you will be using it as a means of selling clothes, shoes, etc. then you can choose an interface that will make it efficient for transactions, lookbooks of items etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the site is wonderfully designed, and has very easy to use interactive features -- it does get pretty slow. Since everything is done online and on the web, the platform can get a little slow and finicky. Sometimes you might be stuck with a loading page and it might even freeze. However, the system is responsive enough to auto-save all your work as you go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wix definitely makes it easy for you to create a website without having any knowledge of html or web design. I think its the most useful for small business owners or companies who don't have a relatively huge budget to spend on website development. Wix offers enough customizability to be able to create your own, personal website without needing a lot of money, time or people. A huge plus is their intuitive platform that does not need much tutoring or training in order to understand. Its highly convenient and has a lot of potential for different types of uses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you intend to use Wix as a business site-- I would recommend buying your domain and figuring out all the aspects and process in order to connect your website. If you intend to use it as a personal website-- I would recommend joining any blogs or threads that pertain to learning how to use Wix to its fullest extent. You can truly maximize the potential of this platform if you are well informed. Don't just rely on the current, ready to use templates and modules because you still have to understand that it will not make your site stand out from others.
Great website builder, but there are a lot more competitive options
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is a great builder, but when you are looking at a website design is only a small portion of what you need to be looking at. They offer an easy to use free interface and great templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix is great for website building but your website will need more. The templates could be more responsive. I found my sites to be pretty slow and google wasn't recognizing all of the content on my site. I also find Wix to really be catering to niches, mostly artists, and musicians, so that didn't allow me to get all of the features I would want on my site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A good looking site, up quick for not that much money.

Consider what you want... It may be better to explore going with a web host with a great builder.
