The overall experience was great and we are pleased with our implementation of OutSystems
What do you like best about the product?
OutSystems was very helpful and flexible in all our discussions and negotiations. They are obviously interested in the success of our projects and prove that in the way our engagement works. Suggestions and recommendations are always flowing and we are happy with our decision.
What do you dislike about the product?
During our installation of the environment on premise we had some challenges as the license would become invalid if we had to reboot a server. It took some time for us to figure this out but we did and OutSystems will be patching this soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are rebuilding all our applications that are currently on an AS/400. We find that our development teams learn the platform much faster than traditional platforms and we can deliver products much much faster than we used to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend that they consider working with a partner or doing some sort of staff augmentation if development is done in house. This was our approach and it worked well. Do not get too far into delivering products without the right type of training and augmentation so that you have mature developers making good decisions up front around best practices.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform and team are the best in industry for low code. Very professional organization with an incredible support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike at this point. We have not found issues at this time to report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are driving customer engagement through the platform. We are seeing higher retention rates with our consumers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at a lot of vendors and then choose OutSystems. They are by far the industry leader.
Preferred Technology For Mobile And Web App Development
What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems provides us to create web or mobile application rapidly and So far there as been anything that we could not have implemented with OS. Integrations towards SAP, legacy applications with DB-interface, Azure custom apps have been done with great speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Conflict during publishing the application as caused problem and sometimes there has been serious problems with external mobile plugins which has caused app to fail. For offline apps, data synchronization can be very difficult to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can develop apps using Outsystems rapidly which saves the time and solves our problem and Outsystems has provided great productivity improvement for app development. Speed of delivering a new app has suprised both development team and stakeholders.

What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems is the best low code development platform where ee can develop web and mobile applications. It cuts down the developing time nearly 50% less compared to normal coding.
We have the best Themes & can play with CSS and Javascript to configure our front end of the application.

What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost of outsystems is too high.
The Front end of our applications can be customised only up to a limit,i.e We cannot create interactive pages with greater extent as available in the market.

Outsystems is really helping down in cutting the development time.
OutSytems also allows people with little knowledge to develop without help from professionals so you might lose some projects that you won’t enjoy for being so basic. That is good.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Makes development very easy. It's easy to learn and get started with minimum to no coding background required. Deployment is very easy. Has good version management. Can be used to develop both mobile and web applications. A lot of plugins available on the forge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is very high. Limited support when building native mobile applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduces time to market. Increased productivity due to the provided automation. Easy to train. Can be used on cloud or on-premise based on the business needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a Great tool for RAD development. One of the best in the market. I have tried other RAD tools and None come close.
Easy App Development
What do you like best about the product?
Point and click development makes it easy and quick to create both web and mobile applications. You can explore and learn using the personal environment. They've provided courses online that are very helpful and easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
Environment is dependent on the servers, and only OutSystems personnel can reset/fix it. My project got delayed by 2 days because of this downtime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time it takes to develop a web application is significantly cut down. You can create more web apps in OutSystems in the time it takes to create 1 java-based/angular-based web app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their courses online cover the basics. You might have to explore or look at forums to help you in more complicated designs/solutions.

What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems has a lot of what they call "accelerators" which are automatically generated when you are developing your applications,which is an excellent feature as it greatly reduces the development time needed to finish your application, be it a web based application or a mobile application.
Outsystems also has a great way of integrating plugins into your applications as it provides thousands of API's or plugins available at the forge for referencing to the applications that you will be developing.
There is also a great online community in which you can post questions or search for questions that may already have an answer.
The outsystems support team is also great in responding to any issues or concerns you may have even for trial/personal accounts which are provided for free.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since Outsystems sends that application that you are using to the server for compiling to native code, i fear that i would not be able to work as efficiently as i wanted to, especially in the event of a network downtime, where it could mean that i would need to wait for the network to come back online before i can potentially resume working.

as a developer we are always looking at new technologies that we can leverage in realizing the client requirements with high quality and in a timely manner, outsystems has helped us realize this by providing a low code platform that is easy to learn and use

Outsystems is a great platform to use, although an initial time investment is required to be able to fully utilize its capabilities.

Creating websites with the software is really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the elements in the UI lack names or labels so that I could understand it asap, also I think there I'll be needing some "Getting used to" with the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed on creating Website and Mobile apps is incredible giving developers more time to improve their work.

As a beginner in web development, I would recommend this to those who are going to purue web development. Beginner Friendly.
Ideal platform for software development.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform outsystems, is an ideal work system for application development that are based on administrative processes, the visual environment of outsystem development is oriented, to create the applications in a faster and easier way, executing the instances much faster that in another type of the development system that runs on windows or in the cloud, for me, one of the biggest advantages of this system, is the creation of applications for all types of devices in less time, here I can perform all kinds of tests, before launching the application to the market, or deliver it to the client, decreasing substantial work times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Los cotos de la aplicacion son un poco altos, me parece que falta un mejor analisis del mercado, para ver a que personas o empresas quieren llegar, la plataforma esta destinada para pequeñas y medianas empresas, la mayoria de estas tratan de abaratar costos de todas las maneras, otra cosa que no me gusta de esta aplicacion, es que despues de un tiempo, se puede ver muy basica, ya que no se ven mejoras o cambios de la plataforma en el ultino tiempo, es como si enfocaran su plataforma a todos los nuevos desarrrolladores, pero para los que ya cuentan con mas experiencia en este sistema, no hay manera de dar nuevas herramientas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a platform in the cloud, where you can perform all kinds of administrative applications, we also have the environment where you can test this type of project, the speed of development thanks to custom templates improves a lot, and you can create new projects in greater quantities, with less work time.
It is a good experience with outsystems, I can create simple webapplication with in the short time.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a low code platform. with out the database (sql) knowledge can create the tables and relations and can create the applications with in the short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont think, but we can not change the font color, size etc easily (my feeling) for widget.[ I am thinking to do this we need to check CSS code.]
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved many business problems like business data is saving and retrieving easily using scaffolding directly drag and drop the attributes.
