What do you like best about the product?
Speed of creating User Experience. Lots of widgets to choose from making implementation easier

Less coding causing negative attitude of existing full stuck developers

The availability of developers and its upgrade process has been a tad painful sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've developed more that would otherwise enabling savings for the council and delivering good user experiences for its citizens.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its really very good but the price is too high in alot of cases if you are not going to have a few teams on it.
Easy to learn, fun to use
What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems takes away the boring parts of programming (missing parentheses and semicolons, missing dependencies) so that I can focus on what's important: building cool solutions for my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. I am not too great with css though, so when I want to adjust the standard look of things, it can be a bit of a struggle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making data from our DB2 legacy system available for internal and external use. Made a mobile app for chartered trucks.

What do you like best about the product?
Speed, time to aggregate data and integrate to different data respositieries. Time to implement first version of user interface i.e. how application should look like. Good built-in user interface libraries. Continues integration and deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Response time from Outsystems support services. Some bugs with the platform and development tools. Some limitations with native android and ios apps. A lot of manual work needed to manage native mobile app publishing, ios certificates and android keystores.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manual business process automation and visiblity to overall data. Benefits have been realized in about 30 different applications due to having a mobile optimized user interface to legacy many legacy systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Currently leading platform, not meant for citizen developers. True software development professionals can get full value out from it.
Mature low code platform with a grand vision
What do you like best about the product?
Give you the ability to quickly prototype an application and get results. This greatly satisfies the business because they get quick results. It also allows for quick team growth because new developers can be quickly onboarded.
What do you dislike about the product?
No null values or abstract coding practises like interfaces and generics. It is hard to set up a good architecture because of this, and does allow for app wild growth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick time to market and business satisfaction. The hundreds of apps we have created are forming an ecosystem.

multiple use cases makes a business case easy - app development and the creation of an integration layer

hard to do an on premises install and deal with disaster recovery in a regulated industry

the need to integrate multiple legacy systems across multiple jurisdictions with IT resource that is sometimes not bought in

Have a clear plan of what is possible and be realistic about what a new internal development team can do compared to using an experienced partner

The Cost of Developers still very high, and the ROI isn't ok, but slow.
