there have been a lot of additional benefits that we see while developing newer applications, which are the advancement of development by using outsystems components available in Forge which is a repository of Components or plugins that can be used to Make the Development much faster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Outsystems can be preferred when the application is to be developed for both Web and Mobile simultaneously and in a faster pace.

The best LCAP (low-code application platform) available today!

  • September 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have actually used Salesforce, Appian (have certifications for both), and looked at every LCAP vendor listed in Gartner and Forrest. My experience is that OutSystems is definitely the leader, in developer productivity and end-user experience, I was able to develop an application in 2 weeks, which would take about 3-6 months in Java, and probably about same time in Salesforce, Appian.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really - from every aspect it is an excellent product and great platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to develop an application in 2 weeks, which would take about 3-6 months in Java, and probably about same time in Salesforce, Appian

Low code expert

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The development part and the one click deployment part is so easy with life time.
The mobile debugging is very easy.
After the production movement the monitoring is made easy with outsystems. We can check the time taken of a service to the loading time of a web screen is made easy with lifetime.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime it seems to be difficult to integrate external systems with outsystems.
If will more helpful if there is a default option available for the input regex, session time out and recommended plugin for detecting rooted device. By default if the input to the server action need to encrypted every time for avoid the security issues. For IOS if we have outsystems now app as before then it will be more convenient it check the app without installing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Banking needs for the endusers. Since the logging in outsystems is managed in life time it is very easy to monitor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Will strongly recommend to my colleague since it is a emerging technology, all the customer requires the development time to be reduced and the need all their phone (platform android or ios) and web need to be managed in single window.

Fast and Furious Platform

  • September 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can say that the speed with which everything is done inside the platform is the strong point. Another very strong point is the community involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing is still not very intuitive. I'm sure this is a point that Outsystems works hard to improve, and that the goal is to allow anyone to be able to develop things on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning to program on a fully integrated platform is fantastic. For me, a beginner, it has been an incredible learning experience. I come from the Biological Sciences, programming is a very different world and I am able to face it from my point of view and it has worked, I have learned.

A dynamic and flexible low code solution

  • September 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Outsystem has really changed the way my team works together. We are able to collaborate on a single application by working on different modules or even the same module at the same time. It's made development more interactive and we've come up with some great projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve but, with the right training and mentors you can build anything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business process automation is our main objective. The system integrations and setting api has been interesting.

Outsystems has enabled our Technology team to increase efficiency ten-fold

  • September 15, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for us to develop quickly and efficiently in a responsible technology architecture. Within 4 months we had a complete architecture in the Outsystems environment and were able to quickly develop solutions that our C# team would not have been able to do in a timely manner in the same way. Over the last 18 months we have had over 70% of our technology stack transitioned over to the low code platform and replaced almost half of our legacy systems within the low-code environment. We will have no issues transitioning the remaining 30% of our stack over to OutSystems in the next 18 months, allowing for a consolidated UI & data infrastructure for both internal and external users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support team can be so to respond at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implementation of non-existent User Journey's and optimization of existing ones. The largest problem we have experienced over the last 18 months was the integration with existing CRM's but this was surmounted with concentrated effort early on in our implementation with low cost of maintenance since then. The detailed benefits have included hundreds of hours saved across multiple functional departments and roles, along with providing clients with new user journeys in a way that was not available before.
