What I like best about OutSystems is its combination of speed and flexibility for developing complex applications without sacrificing quality.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using OutSystems for more than 10 years, and it's really easy to use and learn. And it's also easy to teach someone even without that much technology knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
The prize of the platform it is a little bit expensive for small and medium companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The time to market is completely killed when using this platform. We can deliver applications really fast.

What do you like best about the product?
The power key business users and product owners have to evaluate new strategies by having powerfull solutions ready very quickly instead of strugling with endless projects. The built-in UI and components are very helpfull.
What do you dislike about the product?
One must be very carefully when engaging a big developers team. Having many developers competing when publishing their last changes to the "code" sometimes can be a painfull process. As the platform's development modus operandi relies strongly on heavy files being transfered over the internet (for cloud based projects), merging and deploying tasks can be a challenge.
That's why it's so important to have in the team someone with expertise in software development processes and software architecture.

I've rolled out some strategic projects in just a couple of weeks, re-written legacy systems with huge client satisfaction and guided developers on very short learning curve experiences in the most diversified teams.

What do you like best about the product?
The best of OutSystems (OS for short) is the speed at which you are able to set up your first professional looking app without sacrificing any of the complexity. I found that OS allows any developer to develop at his or hers level, but can develop nonetheless.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to say which really can be dislikes when the OS platform is really good as it is. However I would say that the high licensing fee (relatively) is a dislike when you want to create something for a small community, although the personal environment is able to tackle this problem somewhat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using the OS platform we are able to add a structure to an usually already existing different framework such that overhead is reduced.

Agile development, fast staging, fast integration, fast bug fixing and identification, everything for a better work/life quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licence model could be more flexible to small companies divided in "Pay per use" and "Pay for develope".

Fast developement and bug fixing makes the customer more happy. The plataforma monitoring has all the tools needed to fast change and bug identification and correction.

Easy to use, easy to learn from someone that comes from a different technology .NET or JAVA for instance.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy way to export data information and create the data table relation, with low knowledge ER systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The butterfly effect. With a minimal change there is not a easy way to update all the dependencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think OutSystems will be great to eliminate the IT shadow in the company and center all the information and mainly share some tools between users.

I like that the platform is easy to use, and allows to have results early one the process of developing something new.
What do you dislike about the product?
SOAP integrations. It has problems integrating with SOAP web services that are a lit complex or have complex objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The delivery speed. Business can see the results more fasten and act accordingly, saving a lot of time.
