Low code and fast delivery
What do you like best about the product?
Develop logic on an application, easy and fast.

Develop front end on outsystems applications, boring, because need publish to show changes.

I building an application to manage all security officer and their shifts.
A Platform to allow cost control and risk reduction.

Easy prototyping to raise POCs in hours and swiftly validate with the customer.
Amazing capacity to manage any code, database or other change, even if it doesn't happen inside the scope we're working on.
Unitary testing, behaviors and defects traceability are so easy, the difficult part is knowing when not to use the debug capability.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not possible to perform Data Migration between environments.
Incapacity to create Intellectual Property (close the code of a given module) with the platform is a down side.
Multi-thread capacity not included, what prevents some high performance solution usages.
It should have a more flexible licensing model, adjusted to the geography and business case. SME should be able to use with limitations and for some specific scenarios. In some cases a simple customer facing portal will have a prohibiting cost due to needing Unlimited Users.

Originations - Ease of data collection. Easy integration with services either on REST or SOAP.
Customer or Partner Portals - Ease of data collection. Easy integration with the Core systems, either through a SOA layer or directly against external databases.

Analyze the cost against the full range of dimensions, not just against being Low Code and fastest then other typical technologies.

It's intuitive and well architected. Enable development and operations teams to partner effectively.

Too much time publication between environments and I would like to change variables in runtime when using debug

Allows users to create and deploy high quality web and mobile apps significantly faster.

What do you like best about the product?
We can develop complex applications and really focus in the logic. Changes are easy enough and the code is very simple to read

It's expensive so it's not accessible to small companies

Starting applications with few requirements and big needs for changes, additions and integrations. Outsystems makes it all less complicated.

Outsystems is a very easy to use platform wich enables a very fast web and mobile apps development. It allows us to develop solid work in a simple way.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to point here. I guess that the only problem with Outsystems platform is that specific things tend to be, sometimes, harder to code. But Outsystems is being updated almost every week, so i believe that in no time this problem will no longer exist.

Outsystems provide us a simple way to manage a lot of data. Its modular organization enables a better understanding of the code developed.

We solve client problems with much more speed than usual. The code is easier to read and the result is amazing.

I'm in love with the Platform and there's nothing I do not like.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform allows me to concentrate more on the functionality and features in my applications rather than how to code it. I won’t even get into debugging. I used to always generate Visio flowcharts before coding. With this platform, the flowcharts ARE the code!
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren’t many things I dislike, but one thing that comes to mind is merging code when multiple developers are working in the same eSpace. It would be nice if it worked more like Microsoft’s TFS source control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily use OutSystems for in-house applications requested by employees and managers. The primary benefit is super-fast turnaround. It usually takes longer for users to describe to me the functionality they need than it does for me to generate a functioning prototype for them to test out.

Avoid advanced queries, keep all JavaScript organized, avoid tweaking processes automated by the platform.
