Best Tool for API Testing
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a very popular and Best tool for Api testing. We can test a single api and if we have may API , we can form a collection and test them whenever in need. Gives good results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Postman is not very compatible for SOAP api testing.we cannot use the prewritten test cases, we need to write them as many times we need to test them, which is very cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly usese Postman for testing of Restful Api. I can also tweak the request from there to test the responses for those variations. we can also see the response code for which may benefit you ,if you are getting "OK" response for some error as well, so you can still design the api as per your need.

Testing of APIs in local is made easy by postman. Without postman, we would have to use terminal which won't have so many features like collections.
A simple and easy-to-use solution for API with easy maintenance
What is our primary use case?
We use this solution for every API development.
What is most valuable?
We are exploring code generation and how it works. We also like the test functionalities and snippets that we can use directly.
Moreover, the tool is simple and easy.
What needs improvement?
Integration should be improved with our continuation system because we use Azure DevOps separately.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Postman for around two years. Initially, we used it only once, and now we use it more.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is easy to scale till now.
We are using the solution for five people.
How are customer service and support?
We get help from videos and the web.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have also worked with SoapUI, but we like Postman because it has automation.
Postman is a more compact tool, and it has many functionalities. In the first stage that we used, Postman, we only tested how it works. Now we are using more functionalities. With SoapUI, it's because some customers have used it to define the APIs, and then we have to interact with this environment.
But we use Postman, and we prefer Postman. Although, there are some tools from SoapUI that are good. For example, the API design, checking, and definition. If Postman has anything similar, you can check the definition of the API, and it proposes you an improvement and so on, but in the development phase, we used Postman, and we like Postman.
How was the initial setup?
The solution’s initial setup is easy. The maintenance is easy as well because we are not doing all the possible accents and because we are not doing anything to maintain.
The solution is deployed on the public cloud and on-premises in our organization. But I use it more in the cloud.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The solution’s pricing is realistic according to our usage level. As we grow and require additional functionality beyond what we currently use, there is a higher cost while upgrading the developer plan. We want to explore features like automatic code generation and other functionalities.
We are paying only for the license for now, and it comes with a monthly subscription.
What other advice do I have?
Postman is one of the most widely used tools in the market. When you use it, it is practical and useful. You need to check whether it suits your team, project type, and work to take profit from the way Postman works. From the beginning, it is one of the three main tools you must explore if you regularly deal with APIs.
However, I am still exploring all the tools, and I don't know if I can maintain it or not. When I know all the different technologies better, I will be able to say.
Overall, I would rate the solution an eight or nine out of ten.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sharing the collections in Postman is not an easy process I feel. Also for a bit advanced use , we have to purchase paid plans
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When i develop a new API I need to test them or I need to see the behaviour, before knowing that I cant integrate my API. So to test my APIs with different cases and to test the behaviour Postman helps me a lot.
Postman : Efficient tool for API Testing
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is an incredibly powerful tool for working with APIs, providing a comprehensive set of features and functionalities. As a technical analyst, I have found Postman to be an invaluable asset in my work tools.
One of the standout features of Postman is its simplicity when it comes to making API calls. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to construct and send requests to APIs. With just a few clicks, I can specify the endpoint, set headers, add query parameters, and include request bodies. This streamlined process saves me valuable time and allows me to focus on other aspects of my development tasks.
Another aspect that I appreciate about Postman is its wide range of authentication options. Whether I need to use Basic Auth, OAuth, SAML, or Bearer Token, Postman provides the necessary tools to handle various authentication methods effortlessly. This flexibility is crucial when working with different APIs that may have different authentication requirements. It ensures that I can test and interact with APIs regardless of their authentication protocols.
Collaboration is another area where Postman excels. The ability to share collections of APIs with team members and work on them collaboratively is a game-changer. Multiple users can access and make modifications to the same set of APIs, allowing for efficient teamwork and coordination. This feature promotes collaboration and simplifies the process of managing and maintaining API collections in a team environment
What do you dislike about the product?
Firstly, the interface can sometimes be overwhelming, especially for newcomers. There are many options and settings that can be configured, and it can be challenging to find the specific settings you need. Simplifying and organizing the interface would greatly enhance the user experience, particularly for beginners.
Additionally, working with variables in Postman can be somewhat challenging. While variables are a powerful feature for dynamic and reusable requests, their implementation in Postman could be more user-friendly. The process of saving data from response in variables is not always intuitive, and it can take some trial and error to get them working correctly. Improving the usability of variables would make them more accessible and increase their usefulness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman solves several problems that greatly benefit developers and API testers. Firstly, it provides a fast and efficient way to test APIs. With Postman, developers can easily construct and send API requests, including headers, parameters, and request bodies. This eliminates the need for manually writing code or using complex tools for testing APIs, saving time and effort.
Additionally, Postman offers a wide range of pre-developed tools and features specifically designed to work with APIs. These tools include the ability to handle different authentication methods, generate code snippets in multiple programming languages, and run automated tests on API endpoints. By providing these ready-to-use features, Postman simplifies the process of working with APIs and reduces the need for developers to build custom solutions from scratch.
