What do you like best about the product?
Awesome UI/UX for testing the API calls. Love the feature of creating your environment for testing the calls. Easy to upload and export the collections. Variety of preview options and the History it keeps helps a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of feature to give the performance of specific API calls used. Like if I have used an API call for 10 times then it can show a report of successful calls and analyze the errors in the same report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating the API collection and testing the API calls. It's very helpful when it comes to access the history.

What do you like best about the product?
I've mainly used it in my previous job where I was QA, and as a very organized person I really appreciate how easy Postman makes to organize all your request, it definitively made the testing much easier. Specially with the environment variables so you can configure the settings for each environment and test in any of them with just a click.
What do you dislike about the product?
With some updates Postman crashed a lot, I remember one that it didn't even open so we had to find on the web the previous version in order to keep working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing APIs in the most organized way possible.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplistic yet powerful User Interface, which embeds numerous features and functionalities, and makes developers and testers life easy. Postman generates the code for a wide range of programming languages for your call, you no more need to refer the syntax, the code for the call in your favorite language is generated automatically. It also gives you the luxury to save your requests and share it with your team, so collaborative working is facilitated at its best.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the data received via rest API is too much, as in a few MB's , then postman tends to hang and lag. I would love if they would make it free for students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I generally use postman to test API responses and how REST calls work for specific API's, it lets developers have a first hand experience over the API, check all edge cases for API calls. It lets me set environment variables so that i can escape redundant copy paste scenarios.

Start using it today !! Don't just trivially use it, explore all of it's features.

What do you dislike about the product?
Could not find anything that I could dislike so far. We did try some other tools in the process but no other tools comes close to the features and support that Postman offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development and testing of some APIs

Go for it. It will be your one stop shop for all API testing and development requirements. This is the most favored tool for this purpose.

Auto format sometimes really sucks. It ends up having confusion in json configs

I can quickly create and edit api queries and resend them for rapid testing

When you run a collection of api calls you cannot export the responses as easily as I would have hoped
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
testing an API with lots of parameters, it helps to quickly swap parameters in and out. it also saves time by not making errors when inputting the api url

What do you like best about the product?
When I am beginner regarding API topic, I started with Postman software. I generally use only one API which is I am learning but later on studying this software leads me to analyse and getting knowledge of more APIs of different sections. Regarding this software I the most like is it's friendly touch. Any beginner developer who is new in API development field can easily get all the features. Apart from UI, it's theme, workspace, different tools all are the best among any other API development software.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the thing which I dislike is it's policy of updating software. Earlier I am happy customer of for this application but from recent nowadays, some of the APIs are there which are famous in e-commerce market that are not provided by this software. Also another point is for some of API, when I am trying to get response from that API, that app through unusual errors. Initially I thought that issue is from my side, but later on came to know from web surfing, there are some of the bugs which are causing uncertain error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In business, via this software we are calling different API's and try to understand responses from different API's. After getting responses, we are managing those data to build code and allow different features to work perfectly. After using this I realise that how easy to learn and work with API. Before using this app, I am afraid of Api but now this one is most likely part in my coding life.

If you want to do anything with API then postman is right platform for you. If you are new in this field then I must suggest to use this app.

What do you like best about the product?
Tabs, workdpsaces and history. Rather your are going to use it for one time endpoint or everyday use to test your API, I love the fact that you can create workspace for particulars uses, like personal , business, or even specific project. The environment? Awesome, I don't have to worry about typing credentials, urls everytime I want to change from dev to test. And it's sync with all my computers!
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, there's nothing so far that I dislike, on my experience maybe with this tests documentation, sometimes I loose myself in how to get a field from a response and set a variable, but I think I have to take more than 1 minute to read about it :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We handle 3 + 1 environments for a product (dev,test,prod + local dev) and changing the environment from a list, awesome!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You are gonna love it. That's it. Use it for a week, and trust me your are going to use it always regardless of your role, developer, admin, devOps, QA, manager. You can share the project (list of requests, with vars, fields, headers).

A good tool for testing APIs, by sending request to the web server and getting back the response. This is being used as a mainstream tool

Only javascript is supported to creating global variables and passing the values at run time .

Making testsuites and used for debugging the apis.

it helps connect with chrome. save the apis and also share them across the team.

doesn't help with throttling kind of services.doesn't work well with other tools like charles. Creates some issues during integration.
