Best tool for api and web service testing
What do you like best about the product?
Testing apis before using them in front-end without any user interface,ability of integrating postman with different tools, it keeps history of all the apis tested which increase reusability, verry easy to use and simple user interface , it's free and can be configured for singular use also, it provides complete http request lifecycle
What do you dislike about the product?
1.Sharing of api is limited for free account
2. We can't test wsdl in postman
3. Lack of customized error message in case of api testing find any issue in code
4. When used for testing purpose monitoring of test cases is difficult
5.unlike new tools postman don't have features of codeless web service testing

One of the best Application for testing APIS
What do you like best about the product?
This is really helpful for the back end developers to test the APIS. Developers don't need to wait for the others output because they can test and run APIS via this application.It is easy to setup and also it is very user friendly.You can create and save API collections according to the various projects .You can create different types of API Requests such as POST,PUT,UPDATE,GET,DELETE and etc.Furthermore You can set parameters,headers,authorization keys and etc.It supports many response types such as JSON,XML,HTML,JavaScript and etc.In the latest postman update,they have integrated the GraphQl queries.So that now we can check both REST APIS and not REST APIS .
What do you dislike about the product?
Postman does not support for the multiple concurrent API requests.When we are working on a project which uses micro-services, we have to run and check each service separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Software Engineer postman is really helpful and it makes my job role easier.We can save APIS and track the responses.It provides facility to share APIS as a documentation.Further we can share the Postman Api collection between the project members.So that every one can edit the APIS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would like to recommend Postman Application because It has a very simple user friendly interface.If you are a beginner to the Rest API developing, this will be really helpful to you.

What do you like best about the product?
With Postman, working with colleagues is simple and the GUI is very clear. It will allow you to request formation conveniently from simple GETs, POSTS, or PUTs. It offers a free edition that can be used to check the wellbeing of your system at the end of your development process. Besides, Postman handles transparent processes, so from leadership to manager level, we are all able to see what's happening. Also, the test generator has a lot of incredibly strong features, some of them allow us to save parameter outcomes from an application, which is amazing. Besides, it is so simple I have been able to tell people and in semi-technical roles how and when to use it so they can know how APIs operate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Postman does not have a good way to track the test cases, something I wish could improve soon. I have nothing negative left to say about this amazing software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Postman in the IT department for API monitoring, creation, and automation. We also use it to design demands and add or eliminate variables quickly and effortlessly and to check and customize the curl application on the API endpoint.

Postman is really useful for validating API safety checks, the review system for your API tests and the error report. It will allow you to build API frameworks so you can seamlessly and quickly save answers for the application for callouts and monitor all your APIs.

The best part of postman API is you can create a collection and import your local file.

You must add bearer token in every API URL. If I add token once so why I add every time.

I have solved rest APIs image upload issue using postman.

Collections and requests creation is easy and convenient .From basic GET,POST to PUT ,postman is comfortable in executing all.Automation test for functionality and performance monitoring.History keeping as well as sharing between team is handy.Http requests and various payloads are finetuned.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so comfortable for basic works,UI is designed for more complex situations not that for basic testing.WSDL testing can be added .Content sharing through dropbox through inbuilt sharing option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Regressive as well as unit testing dor rest web services.Automation API testing along with sharing among teams.Mock server setting and testing. API endpoint testing.Scripting in desirable language acording to need.

What do you like best about the product?
I am using postman for about 2 years for API development, mostly Rest API. and I have never been disappointed with it. This is the best tool available in the market. Best thing about is its simplicity and extensibility. You can use as desktop version or if in a hurry, you can directly use in chrome as plugin. Every step of my API development passes through postman. It helps me to validate and test my current development with its automated testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes postman monitors are run remotely and cannot access private services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work to develop apis. Postman helps us complete life cycle of API development from development(use it as client) to testing to monitoring. I cannot imagine my life without postman. With postman we only have to think about development and testing and monitoring can be easily implemented using Postman.

If you want to start with automation testing of apis or want to do monitoring or you are a developer who wants a tool to validate API development work then postman is the best tool.
The best Utility to test APIs with rich features and simple to use for IT
What do you like best about the product?
I like postman because it has Clear and concise interface for the 'entire' http request lifecycle. In this easy to create test API calls. The features like storing history and auto complete features increase it's efficiency. It supports creating mock servers for your API's. It's export & import API is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
In postman syncing of changes sometimes does not work properly and need to restart some time. Some more guides need to be provided which would be helpful because sometimes it takes me a while to figure out something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Postman while working on business solution in one of the leading life insurance organisation, where I need to integrate with many other peripheral systems. So I am using Postman to test those APIs. Which helps me to test and verify those APIs easily and in faster way leading me to save the time.

Several components for security testing of web services.Variety of test suites can be created.Collection creation to team sharing is quite convenient.Quick addition and removal of parameters are helpful.Desired output formats are handy.from GET to POST all kind of request can be easily configured.

User interface is a little complex for simpler tasks,Sometime for basic features we have to search a lot.

Either in normal or enterprise environment it is perfecf for devlopment and testing.easy configuration is helpful even for begineers but for some features we need to explore a little.All kind of requests including GET or POST are easily configured which prove to be a good point.
