The best productivity software for APIs
What do you like best about the product?
I have been working on a lot of APIs from several sides and Postman has helped me a lot to organize the APIs, create different environments, and test cases in a fast and effective way.
Working with a team of backend and frontend engineers, Postman has been a super important tool to communicate things between team members. It allowed us to keep sync all our work and make clear every endpoint we have. It's part of our daily work and one of my favorite tools!

What do you dislike about the product?
Although the documentation for basic things like send and receive data to endpoints is good, but there are other things like creating different environments, and Test Cases that are not well documented. I had to find examples on other websites and communities to be able to complete our validations, for instance using Ajv for validations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organize my endpoints by folders according to my structures, creating different environments, pass data from one endpoint to others, create tests to make sure the responses are always as expected. All of this tasks are so easy thanks to Postman
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely you have to give an opportunity to Postman and use it not only for the basics flows, but implementing environment vars and test cases. They will help you a lot on your daily basis tasks.
Very Good tool For API Testing
What do you like best about the product?
Code Generator of the tool and saving workspace .
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes lot of memory and sometimes hangs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to share cURL commands so manually generating them is very tedious.

Install postman interceptor for chrome to access Authorization APIs

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me are environmental variables and easy to use folder structure for organizing. Another great thing is that if you just want to do some easy testing of an API that doesn't offer some interface for testing then it is easy for users to get going with a few clicks on postman. Generally, it's very user friendly software and I would recommend it!
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the big downsides of postman is that it can feel like there is so much going on and sometimes it's not easy to find just the right setting you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problem of doing relatively complicated POST requests against an API while testing. Sure, it could be a curl but that's not as easy to edit and harder to save for later.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just give it a shot and if it doesn't work well there may be open source alternatives inspired by this app that suit your needs!
Great RESTful API work
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to save profiles across environments, execute saved commands, deal with odd authentication schemes
What do you dislike about the product?
Overwhelming at first -- trying to get the environment configured can seem like "too much" when you just want to run a GET command
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manually testing API commands/functionality. Allows us to tweak certain behavior and explore data without writing actual code to do basic functions

What do you like best about the product?
I like the best part is it creates the code for various langues whenever I tried out a new url. I used python for my backend and it's really great to have those request's code without typing out again from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to say about downside in my perspective, The postman team does a great job. The ui is qute complicated somehow. I think that kinda improvement they needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without creating a front end, I could easily test my REST APIs in a minutes. That's the best part. and I already told, the another best part is they create the snippet code in the flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In my opinion you should definitely try this out, it will help you increase your productivity.
Great API testing tool
What do you like best about the product?
The software installation is straig-forward and the options are very easy to configure. You can implement and test an API in few clicks. I have been using Postman for quite a long time and I encourage everybody to use when they have to test an API functionality. Furthermorse, the have added the environment variables that can save you a lot of time when you want to test your development endpoint and check the results also in Production.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are looking for a tool to be used with multiple users and you want to get them roles or privileges, you will have to opt for the paid license. Otherwise you can opt for the free license. SSO authentication is also not available in free license.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can test all my API environment quickly and with few clicks.It is very useful to have the API calls organized by collections. I love the way it is organized in tabs.
Sometimes I have some difficulties when I run a long request and it seems to be frozen because it takes some time to respond.

Best tool for API testing
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is best tool for API testing and easy to use. Jenkins integration is also a good feature of Postman. It has also nice support for JSON and GraphQL formatting. Postman UI is also quite impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes i have performance issue with Postman. Complex for data driven testing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing API's. Automation with Node js to run all services at once. Postman make it easy to get idea of new API

What do you like best about the product?
I like postman because I can set up multiple project environment inside it. Also, I can add my team inside it so it is like "ONE FOR ALL" because everyone can work on one project at the same time.
It is very easy to install and use it according to your use. Also, it has a very good UI so that it is easy to understand!

What do you dislike about the product?
When you open multiple tabs it becomes laggy. Also, it adds some header without your authorization which creates problems in backend during testing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me time when I have to test my APIs. It works well and gives us a full review of our testing.

Easy to import queries in different formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration for proxy is confusing. Extra documentation would be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually, I use it to test APIs that I create with AWS Gateway

there is no interaction between users (messaging, commentary, see online users...)

Postman helped me to test my back-end application since the front-end wasen't working, so it saved me a lot of time.
