Knock-Knock - Letter from REST API
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best way to get your hands dirty with REST API calls.
You wanna test your localDB, or any other on the other side of your router its totally worth using POSTMAN.
ALL HTTP verbs , with great UI helps even an amateur to learn calling REST.
The best part is no worries for formatting the response be it JSON, TEXT, XML,media etc.
Testing APIs with parameters, or query attributes has well defined UI to input values, thus worrisome way of editing the URL is gone.

What do you dislike about the product?
Its integration with other frameworks is not so easy to go with.
You seriously need to be atleast an intermediate developer with some knowledge to gain advantage of its functionality while developing with your application.
Although, it provides you all the REST verbs but , HTTPS urls need certificate sometimes because of extra TSL security, thus it has no way of communicating the security protocols even if you have the key.
You need to go through all the pain to bypass or enter that secure network manually.

I have been working on POSTMAN since last 1 year.
I have used it for my personal projects from data science to web development and from desktop application to android.
As per current scenario its the best way to learn how microservices are communicating throught REST.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very simple and intuitive. One of the best tool for testing API's and maintaining API's and sharing with front end developers to refer and use the given format.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a limitation when working in group. You share a limited number of API with team. you have to take a paid version of it to share more API's with team

I am working on e-commerce application. For that, we are testing API's using Postman

What I like most about Postman is that it has a fresh, intuitive, and pleasant appearance, which additionally comes with powerful tools to perform service tests.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, I haven't found any negative aspects of the tool; for most of the tasks I perform, it's great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to perform tests quickly and easily on the web services that I have been asked to test. In addition to this, it has allowed me to export the projects, and with this, I can continue using Postman from home without any problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe it is an excellent, powerful, and intuitive software for developing test themes. I am not fully aware of its potential, but what I have used has been perfect.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the sleek user interface Postman has to make HTML requests and be able to share the collection of requests for each project with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
When switching authentication tokens it is inconvenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create projects and create requests inside the editor and run makes it easy without needing to train people on learning to write code.
Has did API testing in postman a couple of times.

I like that you can test an API offline and can automate thousand of test cases
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes responds very slow which creates a confusion between the actual SLA of the api and the postman app itself
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have tested a internal API which was used to track an ID of a person through multiple people and through multiple sub IDs & the benefit i found that it gives you the exact expected response & the brief description of the errors or the bad response

This plateform is superEasy to use and test Api's I really love using postman.The time of evaluation is really quick on postman. UI of postman is also superb easy.

Sometimes its is hanging on my system i am using ubuntu for using this software.

I am an android developer and backend team provides me Api so before integrating it in my

If you face any difficulty in Api management I recommend you to swith to postman to make your Api management superb easy.
Using Postman as a very comfortable and highly customizable alternative of cURL util.

The ability to create templates, save queries and their results, tabs feature, built-in authorization module, headers setting, code snippets generation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's impossible to override some of the headers. I think this should be easily customizable.

Mostly I test my APIs with Postman.

Using multiple collections is troublesome
testing more than one API at the same time is not allowed.

You should add it to your kits as long as you do anything related to software.

What do you like best about the product?
It simplifies and streamlines steps of creating API so that you can create faster and better sets of APIs. You can easily install the app in your computer and use it by simply logging in to your own account. It has many powerful and useful tools for building and testing APIs. It allows users to create collections of APIs and their subfolders. It helps in collaborating with other users for importing and exporting of files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the user may face lagging issues while working on different time at same time and response various error from APIs. Even it has proper and valid authorization it becomes slow sometimes otherwise it consists of multiple features which are beneficial for the development of APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows the user to run a test in different iterations which will help in saving time. Previous APIs are saved in it which will be helpful if you want to repeat previous tests. It consists of an organized and arranged layout for increasing performance quality. Configuring and exporting different development ideas are easier which will help in setting up the environment of multiple developments. It is easily adoptable by users.
