Flexible and Powerful Marketing Automation Platform

What do you like best about the product?
The power to market to my customers with a tool that reaches them across multiple channels is key. Once the UI is understood it is easy to set up campaigns for the multiple markets we are targeting.
Being able to track data through different channels allows us to create more personalized messages for certain target audiences.
Blueshift’s solution helps us reach our customers across multiple channels. We can easily set up event and segment triggered campaigns, as well at test and optimize any campaign element.
Some of my favorite features are the segmentation builder and creative studio. I can build and target the ideal customers, while staying on brand.
Additionally, the reporting capabilities are great. We are able to track data across different channels which helps us optimize our creative assets and campaigns.
the platform's flexibility also allows us to throw in any data source, so we can leverage all of the historical and real-time data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a curve when learning the UI but once understood things begin to fall into place. Reporting capabilities good be better. However, they’ve already done some big improvements which are helpful to understand campaign performance. They are transparent with their product roadmap, so excited to see what’s to come
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-data unification
-move from batch and blast to personalized emails
-build segments to precisely target users

I would say it is a great platform to use and would recommend it for any business that is looking to optimize their reach .

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift is a powerful tool that offers
- user friendly interface
- cross-channel campaign
- journey builder based on customer activity across all touch points
- dynamic content building
- content categorization
- 1:1 personalized messaging
- full automated orchestration

The team is also quite responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The in-app reporting definitely has room for improvement. The documentation are not very user friendly. I would like to see some prediction system that helps predict subscription cancels based on user activities and events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift helps our marketers with customer engagement strategy using personalize customer flows and customer journeys. It helps us automate and target specific markets easier. It helps us to create customized campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
The API is great, it is well documented and there is plenty of volume allowed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Templates must be maintained across all accounts, which is extra work when operating multiple websites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We deliver emails newsletters to hundreds of thousands of emails with Blueshift and it has greatly reduced our cost and engineering time to do so vs competing services.

Great solution for personalization across channels

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Blueshift is the platforms flexibility. The can ingest any data source we throw at it and allows our team to take action upon it. Blueshift segmentation capabilities allow us to get really granular with who we target. The recommendation builder is also a fantastic tool, we can build personalized recommendations that adapt to each user and leverage them across our email campaigns. The customer success team has also been extremely helpful with on boarding and best practices. They really care about our success and are there to lend a hand or answer any questions we may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit of a cluster and hard to navigate, but that's like any new tool you begin to use. The team has been transparent about the roadmap and future UI enhancements, which is exciting to see that they are continuously building upon the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our prior solutions lacked a lot of functionality needed to actually engage customers on a personalized basis. We were stuck with batch and blast campaigns that didn't really engage our users. With Blueshift, we can message every user with relevant messaging that improves their overall experience. We've been able to introduce a number of new campaigns that we couldn't do with previous solutions.

Great for B2C but lacking some integrations for B2B

What do you like best about the product?
I like how both our B2B and B2C teams can have our own environments to tailor our nurturing programs for users. I also like the ease of creating segments before launching campaigns to ensure who will be impacted.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of having to export a segment every time we want to see who is a member. It would also be nice if the look up section allowed multiple filters instead of just one field at a time. It would be even more powerful for us if it had an integration with Salesforce.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Blueshift to automate a high volume of emails for our customer experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to automate a large volume of B2C type emails, this is a great option.

Good Experience with User friendly tools

What do you like best about the product?
Visual editor side for those not familiar with HTML, as well as the report you can see from a campaign that previously launched. We use this to see what users clicked on the most, and how many unsubscribes happened from that campaign.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't enough customizations on the visual editor piece. I would love to see an autosave feature as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems, N/A. We find that the platform is best for our segment triggered & one-time send campaigns. Multiple members of the team have access to the platform and are able to work on their own campaigns without conflicting with others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is perfect for diverse teams. There is the HTML tool for campaigns, or the visual editor, which we use to send out newsletters to 10k+ subscribers.

Don't be afraid to use this platform for all of your needs! We rarely see any site 'shutdowns' or errors. The site is user friendly, and I appreciate the notes we receive when updates happen. The site seems pretty secure - even with an account from time to time, I have to verify it is me using the account. I trust Blueshift with the user data we have

What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly it is. It is so easy to configure campaigns and design them to exactly how you want. It allows really sophisticated and targeted recommendations which is incredibly useful particularly in our industry. We're expecting to see a big lift in the number of users returning to our website one we have set up the recommendations. It's also great how you get bi-weekly catch up calls with a dedicated CRM manager in addition to an online chat system so questions are always quickly answered. If the chat isn't able to help, Elizabeth always gets back before you know it!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to initially implement due to the level of input that is needed from the data teams. I probably wouldn't recommend it to some organisations that are small unless they are willing to dedicate a significant proportion of their time to initially set up the blueshift recommendations and automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved numerous problems with Blueshift. The first one being consistency within our branding, as everything is template-based, we're able to ensure everything is the same. We have also seen a real increase in the proportion of email opens, thanks to their tool which allows you to send at the optimised time for the individual. Our reporting has also become a lot more sophisticated too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the benefits before you purchase, it brings ROI as soon as recommendations are set up. But make sure that you do set them up, we left it too long before we started using Blueshift to its full capacity.

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift is a powerful tool that offers 1:1 personalized messaging to our users across multiple channels. The sophistication of the segment builder and recommendation schemes allows us to build out a ton of different user journeys.

I also enjoy working with Blueshift as their team is always responsive and works quickly to answer any questions I or my team might have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is quite complex and has a relatively steep learning curve at the beginning. Across templates, campaign, segment builds and more, the tool isn't very intuitive. However, once you get the grasp of it, it's a very powerful tool.

Additionally, there is no control bucket in the campaign builder which doesn't allow you have a hold out group when running A/B tests. There are workarounds to address this though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is currently a lack of analytics and data insight with this tool, but the team is currently building out something to address that and we are very excited for that additional component.

Otherwise Blueshift's support team has continuously helped us create unique recommendation schemes, which allowed us to further build out more messaging opportunities in the users' journeys.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The sophistication and capability the Blueshift offers is beyond some of their competitors.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility - There are multiple ways to trigger email campaigns. We are very limited in our use of the platform, but have plans to expand and use much more of the functionality. We limited ourselves to replicate what our clients were using in the past, but believe that they will see the benefits of using more of the Blueshift platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have a need to retrieve and store certain information regarding the sending of emails, including the image of each email that was sent. All of the data points are not always readily available. Sometimes we need to make changes to our processes, external to Blueshift, to ensure we have all of the data that we need to meet our customer's needs. There are advantages and disadvantages of having an all-in-1 provider where users manage their email templates and campaigns, as well as sending the emails from that platform. Our new system uses best in class providers for various functions, but the downside to that is that all of the data is not centralized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CSG sends emails on behalf of our customers. The majority of those emails are transactional in nature. They are triggered by events on the CSG platform, Statement ready, password reset, bill payment acknowledgement... Since those are not marketing related we needed a way to trigger those emails based on the event occurring on our platform. A smaller percentage of our overall email volume is marketing related. The majority of those emails are sent based on criteria our clients maintain outside of Blueshift. The event to trigger those emails is then sent in a file and the users are already qualified.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Blueshift team is continually striving to improve the platform. They have taken into consideration all feature enhancements that we have submitted and have a robust road map of new features.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy segmentation tool that allows a small team like ours to manage meaningful customer interactions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The the lack of compatibility with other platforms. As a newer product, Blueshift lacks the native integrations with other platforms that make email marketing truly seamless. We look forward to the upcoming releases of integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visibility into our user base has been very beneficial in creating targeted campaigns. Previous to using Blueshift, we have many systems that made it impossible to effectively organize our customers by shopping and browsing behavior.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Blueshift is a great resource for a small team who owns many moving part of the business (marketing, insights, execution of digital campaigns).
