AMPLIFY has all the essential features for managing file transfer.
What needs improvement?
Sometimes, the application's embedded databases couldn't perform well for a higher volume of data. Thus, legacy licensing for these databases needs improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer for 15 years. At present, I am using the latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a highly stable platform. It works fine if the embedded databases are maintained well. Otherwise, there can be database clashes and will need manual intervention. But if you have the enterprise version, the application will manage the issues. I rate the stability a nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We need to pay extra charges for using the application on multiple devices. We have around 400 customers for it. At the same time, seven to eight executives administer it. I rate the scalability an eight out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support team is helpful and very prompt on the ticket. Although, I have had two to three instances in the last couple of years where they could not provide the solution.

How was the initial setup?
The installation process was straightforward as I have prior experience using the product. The application stage takes approximately 40 minutes, and the configuration takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete. It requires seven to eight administrators for maintenance.
What was our ROI?
The application generates a return on investment for our organization. It is stable, secure, and a core application for us.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
AMPLIFY's license is a one-time investment. We need to renew the support services yearly. Overall, we have a comprehensive plan and do not need to pay anything extra.
What other advice do I have?
It is a good application. They provide timely upgrades and patches. They offer multiple cloud version licensing plans, including subscription-based and one-time payment licensing models. I rate it a nine out of ten.

Configurations are simple and once they are set up, everyone works in a consistent way.

Cloud is still new and we are still working out some bugs

Securely transferring files and is very flexible to be able to configure to different needs

Axway MFT provides us a secure way to move 100,000 files per day

Axway uses a proprietary database so access to all tables is not possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to move files securely inside and outside the network from a centralized location. Individual clients are no longer required.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Axway Managed file transfers ability to transfer files encrypted to destinations. The ability to send by file type, by file name, it's ability to connect to various other Mft products to pass files through internal and external vendors faster and securely with the recent bells and whistles is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a button that we could press to send our deployments from QA environment to production rather than building it manually.

Ease of use and sending files with encryption, protecting Sutter health standards and data. Recent bells and whistles add some cool features

What is our primary use case?
I will have to go at a very high level in my description because I use it for my clients. It is used to transfer files, especially those of big size.

It is an easy-to-use and stable product.
What needs improvement?
I am looking for a kind of feature in terms of high performance and high visibility in a system or solution. So right now, this is not the feature we are using now, but we are searching for this kind of a solution.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer for about four months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
For now, we are satisfied with the solution's stability.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
I don't know if it's scalable because we don't need to scale up.
The client for whom I deployed the solution had 100 users, but not at the same time. So if I had to consider that, I would say maybe 30 to 40 people. So, only 30 to 40 accounts are usually connected for doing transfers.
How are customer service and support?
We have contacted the support team, and I feel that they are quite efficient.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was quite complex. For the setup of the production, the time taken for the deployment was a month.
A project manager, two engineers, one DBA, and one business analyst are required for the deployment and maintenance of the solution.
What about the implementation team?
Whom to choose for the implementation part depends, so for knowledge, an integrator can be a good choice.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is quite expensive, and because of that, we get good service from them in return for the price paid. If you have to compare it with other solutions, Axway AMPLIFY Managed File Transfer is quite expensive.
What other advice do I have?
I would definitely recommend the solution to those planning to use it.
I rate the overall solution a six out of ten.
