Intacct Rocks
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct is a very robust Accounting system that is extremely powerful to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't had anything that I didn't like yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly allows me to consolidate 14 entities instead of manually using Excel saving me hours per month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with a Sage Intacct consultant to help with the migration.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct offers enough flexibility to customize solutions for organizations with unique needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementation was difficult and 2 years later we are still reconfiguring to correct problems. Customer service and technical support is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to consolidate multi-national and multi-currency business entities into global financial reporting.

make sure you have fully mapped your dimension structures before you go live

Nothing yet, just starting to implement Intacct
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a project centric organization and hope to have found the right solution to track and evaluate our projects
Save yourself the headache of doing everything yourself!
What do you like best about the product?
The "Source Entity" function on Journal Entries is such a time and headache saver! It was always such a pain doing a huge JE with multiple locations and multiple lines for the locations and always somehow not balancing the inter entities and trying to figure out what I missed. Having the Source Entity now saves me from doing the inter entity lines completely and Intacct takes care of it all! Definitely saves me the stress!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like sometimes when it logs out after a certain amount of time and I loose my work. I've worked 12+ hours before and if I am in the middle of an entry, Intacct let's me enter all the info but when I go to hit save, it logs out because it's been over 12 hours. I wouldn't be as bad if it would give a warning that time is about to expire, then I can at least save my work, log out, and log back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having Intacct, we are solving the problems of people not knowing their budget and live spending. Before Intacct our employees didn't know live spending unless they kept an excel sheet and tracked all their purchases. And we were only able to give them updates when we closed the month.

Sage Intacct is so easy to use!
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
East of integration with other platforms, especially Salesforce
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited free form date range on the fly, but they are upgrading this soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing quickbooks

The ability to customize the product to work as you want it to.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I can not use allocations in credit cards. The credit card reconciliation should be more like the bank account reconciliation.

Reporting, we have many clients using multi dimentions. The reporting capabilities are great for this.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the customizable features available to make the software your own. The reporting features really set it a part from other software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not the biggest fan with being limited to two business users with small business pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clients are able to track real time accounting and information to create customized reports

Be thorough in the planning process to ensure that you map out the software properly

What do you like best about the product?
The ability of Sage Intacct to grow with our company Aderant. Sage Intacct has been instrumental tool in each acquisition (12 so far!) we have made since 2011.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating reports is clunky. I have been spoiled other software in which reports are drag and drop creations. Looking forward to Sage Intacct making improvements in this area so my team can be even more efficient in our daily tasks and during our close each month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Importing AR and Revenue data into Sage Intacct for acquisitions has been the easiest part of the process. Also, the many subledgers in the system that allows us to be less manual and be more efficient in our processes.

Intacct's implementation expert, Kristie Parker, knew her stuff and helped us rethink and reapproach our implementation. This allowed us to grow the company much more efficiently
What do you dislike about the product?
It was difficult initially to get training and information on line for the various set ups we had to work on

The flexibility of the system. I can customize to my organizational needs.

I wish more of the sessions were directly related to showing Intacct's capabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our grants were all tracked via Excel spreadsheets and now is all wrapped up into Intacct with the push of a button. Managers visibility into their progress and spending on a "real time" basis
