Intact was decent for an accounting system

What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to learn to use. Very user friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not “speak” well with the CRM. It was prettt slow and not as smart as a piece of technology should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to creat Purchase Orders to sendto our clients from intact. It took a lot of the leg work out saving us time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s a good product. There’s a lot of work to be done on the back end, so do your research because it’s also very expensive.

Not Correct Fit for Our Industry

What do you like best about the product?
Dashboard if we could get it to display the correct info we need
What do you dislike about the product?
This software is not the correct fit for a blue collar Truck Equipment business. The functionality and ease of use are not effective in our industry. This software seems to have been designed for accountants
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accurate numbers/Reporting - NO benefits. P&L's are not accurate. Implementation company for Intacct did not do a good job. Data corrupted. Chart of accounts not set up properly, etc, etc
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please tell your sales teams that this software is not the correct fit for a blue-collar truck equipment biz

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of moving around the site as well as the help features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more out of box reports that deal with percentage of revenue without having to build them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal reporting has been cut from 2 days to just a couple of hours each month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid to use the help functions. I was able to build some complex reports with just the help functions.

What do you like best about the product?
The scale-ability of the product. To bring new employees up on the system or to integrate new acquisitions it is very straight forward, user friendly and cost efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all the upgrades are applicable to how we use the product though I receive all the release notes..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to get real time project profitability. The ease of integration with our other applications - SalesForce, KeyedIn, TriNet Expense that insures we have one point on data entry and thus one source of Truth.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very User Friendly, and Scaleable. Helps create "One Source of Truth"

What do you like best about the product?
*Ease of Use-extremely intuitive-esp. for finance & accounting users
*Highly Scalable/Customizable-capable of supporting small startups to large multinational companies
*Ability to Easily Interface with Other Systems
*Great Dashboard tools that are easy to develop and deploy
*Fantastic On-Line User Help Functions
*True SaaS/Cloud Based Solution- no Latiency or other Issues you see with solutions that started on prem. and then offered cloud solution
*Competitively priced- esp. in terms of annual increases that thus far have not following in-line with some of the tier one providers (e.g. Oracle/SAP)
What do you dislike about the product?
*Difficult to find developers- whether contract or for hire. Likely due to this still being a relatively new system compared with some of their competitors
*Customer support is marginal- we don't pay for the enhanced support so that may be a lot better. Fortunately, due to the intuitive nature of the system and the wealth of easy to use on-line support, customer support calls or logging of issues is not needed very often
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
*Allowed us to migrate off Quickbooks and establish a core system that has enabled us to continue to grow
*Open platform is allowing us to work with one of their VARs to develop a custom solution for our core business which is very unique
*Provides great real-time dashboard and other reporting tools for running our business
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would strongly recommend it. If you are on the fence I would suggest attending their annual users conference. It is extremely educational and well attended. I was also impressed that they had a program and day dedicated to just CFOs. As a CFO I found this very beneficial from being tailored to like minded users and the networking opportunities.

Great company, even better software!

What do you like best about the product?
The implementation process was smooth sailing. Everything that we expected the software to do, it does! Great reporting capability!! It's very user friendly, training and implementation was faster than expected. Tags= life changer!
What do you dislike about the product?
My one and only complain is that there isn't a "Back" or "Next" button within a module for entries. In the AP module- when auto populating from previous invoices ALL the data repopulates when I only would like the line items (entries) to repopulate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're spending less time on day-to-day tasks and more time analyzing and reporting on real time data! Tracking receivables has become easier and journal entries are a thing of the past!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You have to remember that when you are switching software, some (or most) of your company's internal processes will have to change in order for the system to work for you. You can't but the old into the new, you must upgrade and adapt. I would also recommend implementing internally versus seeking outside an implementation company. 1) MONEY SAVER 2) only you know exactly how your company works, its needs, and what you want in the system.

What do you like best about the product?
There is no question that my favorite part of the Sage Intacct system is the reliability followed closely by a ability to link to other business products that enhance our efficiency and productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still struggling with the report writer to get the data I need out of the system when and how I need it. Recent enhancements have helped but I am still learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our organization has a global reach and Intacct is allowing us to reach all our players in real time to do our business now instead of tomorrow. We are saving money and of course time as a result.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your business so you don't waste time in the implementation process revising structural issues that could have been addressed at outset.

What do you like best about the product?
you can drill down and all the information is there from invoice to financials
departments, projects and restrictions are great
one set of books and not separate ones for all of your cash accounts
What do you dislike about the product?
When I do a reconciliation and I want to add an attachment it does not hold
if I remove BETA it will save it
this also happens in cash management
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

need to have training when you upgrade
you just adjust to the change and you upgrade again

Still in the implementation stage and working to get more of our processes online with Intacct.

Give more time at setting up system to make sure you understand what you are purchasing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is a cloud based system. The basic accounting functionality and dashboard capabilities are very strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the system had more robust budget and forecasting support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have been able to streamline accounts payable processes and also provide better information and dashboards to senior management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have good requirements and take plenty of time in the planning phase. Particularly think through any changes need to accounting structures and hierarchy before beginning implementation. Make sure you take advantage of the capabilities offered by the system.
