Accounting Duties on a daily basis
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that you can access history of accounting entries easily to look at history and retrieve information. I like how it integrates really well with Salesforce, its a very easy program I use on a daily basis in accounts receivable.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I have to pick something I dislike it would be that the interface is boring. It would be nice to see a different more aesthetically pleasing interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
streamlining and automating tasks like accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting

Straightforward accounting system to use
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to customize lists and dsiplays to get the information you need is a great tool.
AP pyaments are easy to complete.
Processing of invoices is simple and straight forward.
Help available on each page and the University are a great tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports are not particularly user friendly.
Allocation of credits to invoices is not simple.
There is no seperate option to process a credit note.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main improvement versus previosu software is how quick it is, and also the ability to store invoices in the system is great.
user friendly and easy to catch on to.
What do you like best about the product?
its very easy to use and follow along with. It's convenient that there are rules to prevent common mistakes from being posted. downloads are generally quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like there to be a rule set up to automatically make the GL posting date the last day of the prior month since that is generally the date we use. it always puts in the current date but we work with the previous month and it's annoying to have to edit each time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we were having files get deleted on their own and sage set up a system that we get personal emails whenever an entry is deleted. this protects our books and makes sure we have all the infomation we need.
Extremely User-Friendly Robust ERP
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct was a breath of fresh air after other mid-size ERPs I have experienced inthe past. So user-friendly, easy to learn and understand to start taking advantage of all the features right away. It allows for what I call 3D accounting, where any GL number can be combined with any department or other dimension you chose to track. Which in turn provides an opportunity to have a much shorter COA. At the same time, Sage Intacct is robust enought to allow set up of smart rules, where you can restrict certain GL, Dept, Station combination to not have advertising expense in Engineering and insurance expense in Programing, for example. Reporting is great as well: flexible and easy to use for regular, non-IT oriented users to create reports. The system is very flexible to accommodate various business needs like reporting on mulptipe markets and radio station within them, setting up various books to allow for posting of non-cash (barter) transactions in a separate set of books, while also allowing seamless consolidated reporting on both. It seems the sky is the limit with Sage Intacct.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a dislike list, more of the wish list for ptential furure upgrades. For example, an automated JE balancing option wth a write-off of rounding variance between debits and credits to a selected GL account at a selected threshhold would be amazing. A more clear error code that actually gies you the inofmation about the error you need to get it fixed, would be great too. There is the option, where a detaild error report is sent you via email, and just the error code is provided in the JE upload status. To have short error description right there in intacct without having to wait for the email, would be really great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest for us in using Sage Intacct is the ability to mainain multi-company and multi-location environment withouth the need to log in to separate company instances like we had to do in Mass 500. This in trun allows for detailed market (by station reproting) as well as the consolidated reporting without the need to extensive report manipulation in Excel. The ability to attach files to journal entries, AP transactions, etc. facilitates electronic record keeping. allowing for a more efficient financial audit by third parties.
This application is too excessive and bulky. UI is awful
What do you like best about the product?
The only thing I really like about this application are the security measures in place to create an approval process for entering bills or making payments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no easy way to see everything in one place such as a customer's account (payments made, balances open on invoices, invoices open) This should all be on one screen. You should not have to run reports to see all of this information. The UI to this application is awful compared to Quickbooks. There are way to many steps to take to find basic information. The reports generation is also cumbersome and too manual. There should be standard reports and shouldnt need to be custom generated.

Sage Intacct Overview
What do you like best about the product?
Sage's greatest strength is its customization. With custom rules, controls, dimensions, and automated workflows, it offers exceptional flexibility to adapt to various business models. They have a great support team that is very timely and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sage is heavier on the implementation side, will need alot of time to configure and transition the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage has been able to automate more workflows through custom rules and controls systems to create more accurate finacial data.
Sage Intacct - Great product
What do you like best about the product?
The Advanced Financial Management Tools that it provides, such as comprehensive reporting and dashboards, which provide deep insights into financial data.
I also like that you can match bank transactions to sage intacct postings, makes it very easy to reconcile the bank accounts at the end of each month.
Customer support is fab and get back to you very quickly if required. I use Sage intacct daily, and highly recommend the service.
The implementation and integration from our sage 50 account was such an ease!

What do you dislike about the product?
Although it offers some customization, it can be that it does lack flexability for some off our reporting needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct makes our bank reconcilliation 100 times easier and quicker, also the reporting side for the channel is super helpful and has helped move us away from Excel spreadsheets.
Great upgrade from our previous system
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to implement and it has prioved easy to use. The "drillability" of line items donw to details is very good/

TNavigating the reports is a little clumsy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexibility in account set up allows for a simplified reporting.
Has shortened month-end and provides much more insightful reports
What do you like best about the product?
Pulling an insightful report is really quick because of all the dimensions you apply to your data as it enters the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to view a list of open items for either a customer or supplier, which seems like a fairly standard report in other software - although there are workarounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much better data organisation, highly customisable reporting and very easy to search for and locate items.
Massive upgrade from Sage 50 and so more indepth
What do you like best about the product?
The fact you can dig in to every part of the transactions, on review of a channel analysis for example, you can dig into all the postings making up the relevent costs and even go down to the invoices posted and get a copy of them all digitally. Moving from Sage 50 to Intacct has been a massive improvement for us and speeds things up massively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The isn't a step back button, if you look at something and then want to go back to the general review process you have to go back to the begining and start again, to be able to tab back would be a big help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all the information in one program, being able to pull invoices straight from the system is a game changer for us.
