Helpful, resourceful and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
really helpful the help page when you are a beginner user and also later when you have uncertainties.
What do you dislike about the product?
in the cash management tab, it does not allow you to edit the transfers between the bank accounts. that could be really useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to use the templates for vendors/bills/invoices entries as well as recurring bills/invoices/JE is time saving
Implementation Partner - FAIL
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to access more than one company
What do you dislike about the product?
Intacct is NOT the best ERP solution for retailers. Expected greater efficiencies upon implementation and we received that in some areas and in other areas...not even close. Too many work-arounds. As a retailer we have a formidable number of returns and exchanges. Intacct process to account for such is extremely cumbersome and illogical. Reporting is a D+ at best. Be prepared to create your own reports from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to import specific vendor invoices and sales invoices from our practice management system vs the prior process, which was strictly manual.
Powerful but not intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
There's a lot about sage you can customize to work for your business. Entities, classes, items, any dimension you want to create. You can create very customized reports. The UI is somewhat customizable to show you the information you'd like to have at the ready all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation is difficult. There's not one screen you can see all vendor or all customer information on. Figuring out which module controls which setting is tough. The customized reports and balances have to checks to ensure all your P&L accounts are added or that your balance sheet balances. It's expensive and to really get the features you want for automation and efficiency, you have to pay for add-on modules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us separate lines of business and prepare reports for department budgeting.
Sage Intacct is big and burdensome, which is difficult if you don't have a large Accounting team
What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct does provide access to real-time data across the organization, which has given our business added visibility into financials and reporting that we didn't previously have. It can give you a report on almost anything if you want, if you can build that report.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the data is all there, it takes a considerable amount of customization to set it up. I run a professional services company, and it took us a full 9 months to finish implementation, which never did get done correctly. We don't a work-in-progress report that works properly, we don't have automated invoicing templates, we don't have dashboards set up, and the list could go on. On top of that, there's essentially no customer service from Sage directly. They can't help troubleshoot any issues and offer no support. You must do everything internally or with an implementation consultant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced reporting capabilities. We moved to Sage for both General Ledger and reporting, but we really are only seeing a benefit in some reporting capabilities. We now have more insight into project-based financials, which is nice, but I feel like we still could get a lot more out of the system.

I think there Intercompany has limitations wherein group have 100s of IC Codes and customer want to limit the GL codes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its web based and have all modules required by us.
Love the information, not so much the reporting
What do you like best about the product?
The level of information available in real time to our leadership is awesome. We are seeing things in the details that were simply hidden away in our old chart of accounts and accounting software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The report writer is very outdated and extremely hard to use. We had custom reports built for us and we still don't have them looking the way we want them to after one year of trying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting us out of the spreadsheet world and providing us with real time information that we could not see before.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Sage Intacct is its powerful, easy-to-use financial reporting and automation that saves time and improves accuracy.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Sage Intacct is that its user interface can feel outdated and sometimes requires a steep learning curve for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is solving problems like time-consuming manual processes, lack of real-time financial visibility, and complex multi-entity consolidations. This benefits me by streamlining workflows, reducing errors, speeding up month-end close, and giving me accurate, real-time insights to make better financial decisions.
Sage Intacct Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how all invoices are listed in one area.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how long it takes to populate the "Customers" and "Projects" or any other drop down for that matter. As you type you would hope it would auto populate, but it will delete everything I type and you end up having to type it other. These processes take extra time to create one invoice so I feel it is inefficient. I dislike how in Account Receivable invoices you are unable to see the reference note. You end up having to click on each one to see any details, which is another waste of time and inefficient. I wish these features were fixed and then maybe Sage would help me save time on creating invoices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of billing all of our contract billing in one area.

Robust Financial Management with Great Reporting Features
What do you like best about the product?
Its real-time reporting and customizable dashboards make financial visibility easy and fast. The automation of key accounting processes - like accounts payable, receivable, and journal entries - saves time and reduces manual error. Could access, strong audit trails, scalability for growing businesses, and seamless integration with other systems like Salesforce and ADP. Support is generally responsive and knowledgeable, though occasionally more complex issues take time to resolve. The implementation process requires some planning and training, but with the help of onboarding resources and support, it’s manageable. Once set up, the system is intuitive with regular use. We use Sage Intacct daily for transaction entry, approvals, reporting, and financial analysis. The more we use it, the more efficient it becomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface can feel outdated and unintuitive at times, especially for new users. Navigation between modules isn't always seamless, and basic tasks can take a few extra steps compared to other platforms. The reporting tool, while powerful, has a steep learning curve. Building custom reports or adjusting templates often requires technical knowledge or admin-level access, which slows down self-service reporting. Initial implementation takes time and often requires third-party consultants. Some features that should be standard—like advanced billing or multi-entity consolidations—may come at an extra cost. Also, certain modules lack flexibility unless custom-built.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct is helping us streamline and automate our financial processes—especially around accounts payable, receivable, and multi-entity consolidations. Before using it, we struggled with manual data entry, scattered spreadsheets, and delayed reporting. Now, we benefit from centralized data, real-time financial insights, and faster month-end closes. It solves the challenge of managing complex financial operations across departments and entities. With Sage Intacct, we’ve improved accuracy, reduced manual errors, and saved time on reconciliations and reporting. It also ensures compliance with audit trails and supports better decision-making with reliable, timely data.
