monday.com checks every. single. box. that I was looking for when evaluating project mgmt software.
What do you like best about the product?
I'm very precise when it comes to the features I look for when starting to use a new piece of software. What makes monday.com valuable for me is that it leaves users the room to structure things exactly how they need them. One of my all-time favorite features is the ability to invite external project collaborators or clients. This increases the efficiency of our communication greatly and also leaves a very professional impression. Currently, we're probably only using about 15% of the full potential of monday.com but that's also what makes it so great: One can truly keep things "as simple as possible, as complex as necessary".
What do you dislike about the product?
At times the offline desktop app has been a bit unresponsive or slow to reflect changes. The document management behind monday docs could also continue to be improved as we've had some sync issues resulting in minor data loss. I hope to someday have access to a general team chat / 1-on-1 messaging, something along the lines of Slack or Discord. And lastly, sometimes I feel like what we truly want to do would be way easier in a standard Excel spreadsheet, especially when it comes to managmenet aspects that involve tracking numbers etc. There are number and function columns but it would be interesting to have a type of board that really acts more like a generic spreadsheet than a monday.com board. (Maybe in the form of a monday spreadsheet doc?)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com is creating an enormous sense of accountability in our business, even between projects or with smaller side-tasks. We have also cut down on SO many emails as we're now able to communicate directly within the context of any given aspect of our operation. As a division manager, it is also giving me insights to the overall workflow status of projects running parallel to each other. Monday.com has become the compass of my day, offering peace of mind by knowing that everything has been planned efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
Customization and formula settings are my favorite characteristics, also the updates section to manage as a social network for each task, really helpful when the team uses the app.
The app has improved a lot, it still has some issues with the uploading of images, but is ver helpful. It needs an upgrade it to see the dashboards and it will be perfect.

What do you dislike about the product?
I really want a better KPIs dashboard where you can customize the charts as on MS Project for example, also the system doesn't allow to choose the number of decimals shown. Some of the formulas are not as intuititive as one would expect.
One of the things I need most this days, is a date filter, you cant filter by any date other than what the system gives you. I need specific dates or periods, this is a must.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my team the best problem solving would be the general overview of the projects, everyone can see the state of each task and project and act accordingly if any adjust may be needed. The gantt chart is really helpful.
Monday changed our way of work tremendously
What do you like best about the product?
i like the way the effeciency of how we connect with all the coworkers, the fact that we can help eachother through our work, and mostly the the fact that our work has gone easier during the course of the use of monday.
What do you dislike about the product?
there isn't much i dislike, maybe the prices of the apps but those are not from Monday but integrated within Monday, so to be honest, there isn't that much i dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were working with another kind of app online before we hit on Monday. Since we use Monday, our communications within the company have been improved. We connected more and we now have more efficiency within our work. We found that we can make a lot of automations to make our boards even more efficient which ofcourse makes our work easier and faster. The possibilities are not endless but with all the integrations it feels that way. Incoming mails directly on a created item, give tasks to your coworker, connects different boards, connect different items, analysing everything we do, once you get to know monday, it changes the way you work for the best. i can only be positive as it changed our line of work.

What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks a refresh button in the dashboards, but that's just me nitpicking, I can just refresh the browser. There's not much to dislike, I really enjoy the app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I keep record of my service tickets and my sales funnel. I can track my assistants work easily and determine monthly salary bonuses according to her proficiency. My sales funnel is not just names on whiteboards and notebooks, I can really track my own closing rate and push towards my sales goals.
Great teamwork collaboration and project management tool!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to tag collaborators and teams within the app is very helpful for updates and assigning new task responsibilities. It makes it easy to share details on projects where there are multiple people involved within different tasks or parts of the tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a bit disappointed that whiteboard is no longer part of Monday and that the recommended app to use does not currently integrate with the program. We do a lot of collaborative work and brainstorming sessions via whiteboard, and part of the appeal of Monday was that it reduced our need for other apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday.com allows me to reduce the number of apps my team uses so that we can do more unified work within one platform. This helps us to boost productivity and reduces the need to chase down information for projects.
THIS APP RUNS MY BUSINESS
What do you like best about the product?
I can keep updates, contract details, assignments ... everything in one place, with easy access for my team. I was a spreadsheet junkie before, but now I spend more time on work than on making sure all my spreadsheets tie together correctly. And the track changes is a life-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not cheap...i have to buy a license for someone who is only making one check mark a week. But it's still worth it to me because it keeps contracts straight. A poorly executed contract could be thousands lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an inventory of content. It has to be updated on a certain schedule...certain steps have to be taken (by upward of 5 different people)... sometimes content is updated OFF schedule because a contract comes in...Monday manages all of this. It alerts us to contracts ending...and routes our new inventory through the right workflows.
Communication is essential for an effecient business
What do you like best about the product?
Better than spreadsheets for linking data and clearly communicating the status of each project. Keeps our information at our fingertips so each member of the team can see the status of the project and their responsibilities. I rely on it for every project I run--from small tasks to major projects. It makes sure nothing falls between the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were unlimited subboards under each board or the ability to move boards into groups or leads into boards. Basically, more organization and suborganization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all the details in a project is the biggest benefit. Also, allowing our team to communicate efficiently around projects and outstanding to-do items.
The versatility is unmatched and possibilities are endless to fit any need.
What do you like best about the product?
The versatility of the different boards that can be created is awesome. I love that in sections and sub-item tasks you can customize the info that is added, whether its links or deadlines it's perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there could be a notification center that is dedicated to comments or tasks specifically for my assigned work. The current notifications are not always helpful as it shares all comments across all boards and topics whether they are assigned to me or not. I have to sift through it too much ultimately making me not use it very much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday helps us organize campaigns, objectives, and goals for our clients on a monthly and quarterly basis. We are able to see all of the current objectives and easily find our assigned tasks for various projects in our marketing agency.
Excellent tool for Operations Management!
What do you like best about the product?
The custom status and tasks have allowed us to have a more streamlined workflow. As we work from remote locations, we're able to tag and communicate with each other as our orders move from prospects to production. The color-coded labels help us efficiently determine where our focus needs to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
When trying to change the title of an item, it often opens a new pop-up. We have to be precise with our mouse placement or we'll click on the incorrect buttons. Other than that, we've been very impressed with Monday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a better way to track all of our orders as they moved from prospect to pre-production to production and then to delivered. As a team, we are updating Monday as each order moves along in the process. We work remotely, so it has helped us be on the same page without having to call or email. It has helped us to keep track of all orders and invoice our clients promptly as well.
Monday is easy, intuitive project management software
What do you like best about the product?
The system is easy to understand and allows you to break down projects into sections, and then sections into tasks. You can go as far as you like in detailing and assigning tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a feature that allows you to sort sections by alpha or numeric order; right now, unless I don't understand how to do it, I have to move sections by hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great way to keep track of all the tasks associated with very large, complicated projects. These tasks are also saved for posterity if one of our people leaves. That will make it much easier for new people to see what has to be done & to understand the project flow more quickly.
