Versatile, Intuitive, and Essential for Project Management

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Monday for about 8 years now and it's proven to be one of the most useful, versatile, and intuitive tools I use in my day-to-day. Boards are easy to use with powerful customization and workflow automations. Gantt and calendar views with eye catching and flexible features make visualizing projects and jobs-to-be done easy and attractive. It's minor, but having word processing options within make it really easy to set up a workspace that contains both list/chart views and note/long-form text views in one space. Many ways to work to fit any team or team members preferences, all easily integrated in one space. Admin team and user management is also very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to straight out dislike, but in terms of suggestions, it would ben nice if a gantt chart or calendar view could be built first and have the board prepopulate rather than other way around. Additional flexibility in those features would help as well (ways of viewing, zooming in/out etc.). The way folders work could be improved as well to help with board/file management - for example, right now if you move an item from one folder to another you expand all folders at once and have to re-collapse them all - little things like that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary business challenges Monday is helping us with are organization, information sharing, cross-team coordination, and visualizing projects through their lifecycle. Monday helps us with that through easily created and managed Boards/Docs with, intuitive team groupings, and ownership and deadline assignments. All of this is easy to access in one space across teams and visualized well within various views to make sure individual contributors up through senior management are able to access the same information.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customizability of the boards in monday Work Management, which ensures that all my needs are met regardless of the project. This level of customization allows for a tailored experience that facilitates efficient project management. Additionally, the transition from using Excel and Asana to monday Work Management was incredibly easy for our team. This ease of setup significantly reduced the time and stress typically associated with adopting new software. Furthermore, the switch helped resolve communication issues that we previously encountered, as monday provides a more streamlined way to review project histories and collaborate effectively. This seamless functionality and adaptability are aspects of monday Work Management that I truly value.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like better pricing. The current pricing structure could be improved by changing the tiers to include more seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use monday Work Management to solve communication issues, review history efficiently, and customize boards to meet project needs, replacing Excel and Asana which lacked functionality and ease of use.

What do you like best about the product?
I truly appreciate the automation capabilities within monday Work Management, especially with the form functionality that initiates tasks automatically, making our processes seamless. The MyWork screen is a feature I find invaluable, as it consolidates all tasks from different boards, providing an organized view. This is instrumental for task prioritization throughout my day and week. As a supervisor, the ability to filter and view the MyWork screen for each team member stands out for me, allowing me to ensure everyone has a fair workload distribution. Additionally, the initial setup of monday Work Management was very straightforward, even though it took some time to tailor it to fit our entire organization's needs. Overall, these features collectively enhance productivity and task management efficiency for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Docs feature could be better, as it often becomes confusing in terms of when and how to use a monday.com doc. The limitation of not being able to share these docs across other boards can become messy and cumbersome for our workflow. My workaround has been to use 'links' instead, which directs to documents shared on our team’s cloud drive, but this isn't ideal. Additionally, I feel that the numbers/calculation features lack functionality. I would appreciate more advanced capabilities, such as viewing column totals, sums, and averages in tables containing numbers. This limitation hinders the efficiency of working with numerical data within the platform.

I use monday Work Management for to streamline workflows, execute strategic planning and follow up, manage tasks, ensure team accountability, and support project planning effectively. The automations and MyWork screen prioritize tasks and enhance processes, improving overall team efficiency.

Some features can feel overwhelming at first, and it takes time to fully customize boards in a way that’s intuitive for every team member.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of scattered information and inconsistent workflows. By bringing all projects, tasks, approvals, and timelines into one unified system, it improves visibility, increases accountability, and streamlines collaboration. The result is faster execution and fewer bottlenecks.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that monday Work Management is quite intuitive and offers excellent ease of use. This feature makes the platform accessible and simple to handle. I also greatly value the boards and columns that allow me to visualize information in a summarized way, which facilitates tracking the status of work and the distribution of workloads within the team. Additionally, I found that the initial setup was quite simple, which is a great advantage for the quick implementation of the software in our workflow. The ability to manage each team member's work and get a clear view of what is pending and what is coming up really helps to coordinate tasks efficiently. Overall, these aspects of monday Work Management make it an indispensable tool for team management.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases, when I have two tasks with many activities, the images stop displaying, turning into just an image icon. Additionally, sometimes it experiences some delays, although it might depend on the server load. It's not very frequent, but I believe these two points could be improved in the version I am using. Here, I would add the possibility of being able to buy or acquire 1 more user, for example, and not packages of 3 or 5, because if my work team is 4 or 7, there are unused users.

I use Monday Work Management to get a clear view of the work distribution in my team, manage pending tasks, and understand the workload. It allows me to visualize current and ongoing work, improving organization and planning.

Highly Customizable, But Needs Better Notifications

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize every board depending on the projects and on the needs. This customization makes it highly adaptable to various project requirements, enhancing my team’s efficiency. I also appreciate that it offers different types of views, which make it easier for everyone to focus on the aspects most relevant to their roles. Moreover, I like the feature that allows us to leave comments and updates, which keeps everyone aware of what's going on. This transparency and communication help streamline project management and ensure that no important details are missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be better if monday Work Management had a more robust system for notifications. The current notification system can be quite weak, especially when connecting with Microsoft Teams. There are times it glitches, and as a result, notifications aren't sent, which means some updates can get lost.

I use monday Work Management to keep up with projects, track progress and status, and manage tasks for the entire team efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how monday Work Management consolidates everything into one place, which really helps eliminate clutter and the chaos of tracking messages in my inbox. The platform’s ability to send notifications and follow-ups via email ensures I stay on top of my tasks efficiently. Additionally, I find the chat feature particularly impressive as it allows discussions to remain closely tied to the respective tasks. This makes it easier to manage projects and cross-pollinate ideas across different tasks within my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to manage dataset comparisons easily within monday Work Management. Unlike Excel, where I can quickly move around and adjust columns to match different datasets based on identifiers like customer names or emails, monday Work Management requires a more tedious process of updating items line by line. This lack of flexibility in handling data updates makes it difficult when I need to integrate different sources of information efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love monday Work Management's user interface. It's amazing because everything is straightforward and intuitive. I can effortlessly organize my tasks using the drag-and-drop feature, and I rarely need to consult a manual or reach out for support to get things running. The automations are incredibly beneficial, saving me a significant amount of time. They allow me to create items based on specific actions and move items across boards and groups just by changing a status. The seamless setup process impressed me; even though most features were set up when I joined the company, configuring my first board was remarkably easy. Additionally, the integration with Slack is fantastic, enhancing our team's communication. Overall, these features make task management and collaborating on cross-company projects efficient and hassle-free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the lack of an automation recipe frustrating. Specifically, I'm missing the ability to generate a new group with a specific header based on a trigger, such as a status change. This limits the automation capabilities that could streamline my workflow further.
