What do you like best about the product?
Usertesting.com gives me access to unlimited tests and hundreds of thousands of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usertesting comes with a hefty price tag. I wish that they allowed per/test pricing options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always finding ways to make our products better with the insights we gain from Usertesting.com. We always finding ways to make our products better with the insights we gain from Usertesting.com.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely shop around and be sure that you need to do a lot of testing to justify the pricing and the unlimited nature of the plan. If you have the funds, the need, and want results returned very rapidly (sometimes in less than an hour), this could be the right product for you.

Easy to get started, and full of surprises.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get detailed feedback from real people with a quick turn around is essential when prototyping or testing new features or messaging. I've always been pleased with the speed at which responses are received. UserTesting is an essential tool for teams that don't want to have to wait until tomorrow to keep improving.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you operate in a niche industry, make sure that UserTesting is able to source results from your personas. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes the feedback can be way off. I'm guessing that this either happens when there aren't enough users online in your target market, or perhaps because your user isn't exactly the expert they are pretending to be. Regardless, it doesn't happen often, and because of the speed at which testing is received, it's not a big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing product features and messaging, and as i mentioned before the ability to have a rapid response helps with teams that are focused on delivering in sprints. Additionally, because UserTesting shows everything your customer is doing by providing video recordings, you're able to see exactly how they interpret your instructions.

What do you like best about the product?
Working in a fast paced design and development environment, I appreciate the quick turn around of result. Within 24 hours of submitting your test plan / recruitment survey you can have a multitude of in-depth user interviews complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile testing user experience is wanting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of User Testing has meant there is more time for both research and usability testing leading to better design solutions within projects. Everything is recorded for you so it is easy for all team member to have access to the same insights.

would recommend, very easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
i like that you can get paid for doing small tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
i don't like that from the client side, paying for user tests is very expensive. from the testing side, sometimes the amount of pay does not feel as worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it shows issues with website design that upper management may not understand unless shown by real user testers, and also benefits people who want to make money in their free time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Expensive from the client side but very helpful. Easy way to make money from the testing side

Excellent at Moderated Usability Tests

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having the scheduling built into the tool and being able to set a cap on the number of participants was incredibly helpful. For doing moderated remote testing UserTesting is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The unmoderated functionality could be improved. In tools like UserZoom there is much more robust functionality when it comes to unmoderated and mixed testing methods like card sorts, tree tests, benchmarks, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling, video editing, and running remote moderated usability tests. Video editor has much of the functionality needed and is easy to use. Would like observers to be able to comment in real time as they are watching the sessions. Scheduler works great.

Best user testing app for understanding users

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We learn lots of information about our user behaviors. Voice quality is perfect 👌 testers make their job perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everythink is perfect for our apps. I don’t have any bad feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We recognize that users not understand our app perfectly. We have video templates but they assume they are image templates. We fix this problem with user testing feedbacks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Maybe you can make test groups. For example: I want to make a folder for my some tests.

Great for testing collateral

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have found User Testing gives us a lot of flexibility to test ideas no matter where we are in the in the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some challenges in the past with getting people outside of our team into the tool to listen to customer feedback directly, but most often it is behavior driven and not a limitation of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found User Testing gives us a lot of flexibility to test ideas no matter where we are in the in the process. We have even used it to test content for printed pieces of collateral (along with form) to make sure we are getting the message just right.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just get in there and experiment. Doesn't have to be perfect the first time around.

    Verified User in Computer Software

A useful product for any UX team or researcher

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Responsive support, a fairly good panel, being able to run a lot of tests to get good data
What do you dislike about the product?
To make an app build for UserTesting requires extra developer work, which often results in bugs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used UserTesting for usability research as well as messaging and branding work. We've been able to spot issues in the product that might otherwise have been hard to reason about.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's not perfect, but it's the best solution we've found in the space. Compared to others, the support and continued innovation are impressive and worth the cost.

UserTesting feedback

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how quickly you can get results back and participants using both the moderated and unmoderated testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes making the video clips can be wonky and cut of too early or too late. I also strongly dislike that here is no return to the top button and I am required to scroll a lot through the pages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to reach a larger audience base of prospective students and parents of prospective students to test our products with a target population and not just using our current student base.

Usertesting is the best solution for remote tests

  • March 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Building tests on UserTesting is extremely easy. The ability to select specific demographics is great for targeting the most relevant users. Screener questions also help make sure testers are really who you're looking for. When creating your test, UT offers quick task options and popular task options which would come in hand for those who are less familiar with running user tests.

Once your test is deployed, results often come back within hours. The ability to get results that quickly is a huge game-changer as previous studies we have done can take weeks. User testing removes the time and effort required with sourcing testers and scheduling testing time. It's also much cheaper than getting a consultancy who specializes in sourcing and scheduling.

When test results are all in, reviewing the results is a robust experience. You can see exactly what users were looking at as they run through each task you've laid out for them. Actually hearing and seeing users interact with your product is incredibly valuable. One of the best features I've come across is the ability to add notes to specific points in recorded video and see exactly where each task starts and ends.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything that comes to mind in regards to dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used UserTesting to get quick feedback on new designs and features. It's super easy to set up a test and get feedback within hours of creating the test.
