User Testing makes getting insights a cinch!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I don't have to wait or mess with scheduling to get my results!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it were easier to let other people pilot/preview your tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to conduct research super quickly, making lean research very possible. If there's a question, I can launch a study right away and get a lot of results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want really quick and QUALITY results, definitely look into UserTesting.
UserTesting provides the biggest panel of participants with a very simple interface.
What do you like best about the product?
The fast response time from participants fits my team's busy backlog.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s expensive compared to other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve used it for everything from websites, portals, and mobile apps — to paper prototypes of our EOB statements. We like the strength and flexibility of the platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test out the vendor’s platforms with a real use case and screening criteria before making a decision.
Me as working JP QVC to review UserTesting.com
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to put comment on the right time of the video.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every UI that can be facing to test candidates is English that makes it hard to conduct tests to our Japanese customer who mostly does not speak and understand English.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using UserTesting.com to observe our customer in different markets such as US/UK/DE, and I'm seeing customers act/react quite same at different markets for most of the time but sometimes I find difference in customer behavior between markets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Since I haven't actually conduct usability testing using UserTesting.com mostly because of language issue, I'm not in a position to recommend the service.
An easy, no-hassle way to get feedback on your products
What do you like best about the product?
How quickly we can implement something, get it into user's hands and see their reaction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is pretty significant. If you want to test longer engagement it seems like it would be difficult given the short sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing usability with game features such as movement and shooting. Accessibility of concepts and features. We realized it informed our prioritization and disproved some of our initial ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider expanding support in PC Game testing.
Unmoderated testing has been a great feature
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to test upwards of 20+ users, the recruitment panel, the various modules available to build a test to resemble a qualtitative session when done in-person.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription of sessions is very inaccurate. It's also a hassle to use HTML formatting if one chooses to format the instructions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access to look alike users, who are otherwise very expensive to recruit for in-person interviews.
Exactly what you need
What do you like best about the product?
Speed of finding testers, quality of the testers
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX of the site is a little difficult to navigate. How to find all the answers to questions, adding notes and pausing the video. Transcripts would also be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usability issues
The fastest and most convenient way to get feedback.
What do you like best about the product?
It is efficient, fast and results are accurate. I can get clear insights for potential or active customers. These customers are a great resource and help in taking design and UX decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes feel users are only there to make money, as it happens that they are not as knowledgeable as if they managed to cheat their way through the screening process. It also sometimes takes a lot of time to compile results as some users tend to talk a lot, especially when only a clear and simple answer is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usertesting helps us take clear design decisions. Whenever we're at a crossroad, we use Usertest to help us decided which way to go. Usertest is also a great resource to get insights and other user feedback which helps us find pain points and other areas of improvement.
UserTesting Review - UX Designer - 2020
What do you like best about the product?
I like the broad demographic, I like the straightforward UI and the fact that it's so easy to combine various components.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find collaborator's account slightly limited. I d love to have one account where the test structure could be shown as well (to get test structural feedback from my colleagues before running the test)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solve usability problems and issues that cannot be mapped out without human feedback - eg user trust towards the brand
Worth it to get for your design and research team
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to conduct research without having to find candidates and schedule them out.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit difficult to know if the user is going to be on the right page, so the prompts have to be very specific.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit of using UserTesting is being able to create tests and send them out automatically to the candidates in our market. It saves me a lot of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pretty solid software for testing out messaging, copy, and designs. It can also be used for concepting a new product or refining an existing one.
Easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
It's a quick way to get real user feedback. They have a huge panel which makes it super easy and fast to recruit for specific demographics. Its super easy to make clips and highlight reels to show stakeholders. its also very easy to recruit for moderated studies. They are also great with replacing users if you have participants who don't follow instructions.
I really like the ability to set up and recruit for your own moderated tests. You get to provide your schedule and how long you would prefer your tests, and how much time you would like between tests. It has been amazing to have a moderated test designed one day and be able to actually test with live participants the following day which was not the case in the past.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that i can think of! Any time I've had issue with participants not showing up for moderated studies or not following instructions for unmoderated studies usertesting has been great at replacing the participant.
The only thing may be that sometimes users struggle sharing their screen in zoom. It's difficult at times for them to figure it out and i wish there was a simpler way for them.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So many! I always use usertesting to test any design regardless of how far along it is. I've found it to be extremely helpful to have participants from all over the world with different demographics that I can specifically recruit for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use usertesting to get helpful insights from any specific demographic. Its great to get a fresh set of eyes from participants who may actually use your website or app. There are so many things I would have never thought would be an issue in a design that once its tested and come up make so much sense. So many "light bulb" moments coming from these participants all the time.
If you are looking for a quick and super easy way to design usability studies then user testing is the best way to go.
