RHOS supports most RAN vendors we work with

It might not support GPU K8 orchestration

we dimension our cell site workload with RHOS
OpenShift keeps getting better and better.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Red Hat is taking customers feature requests and actually implementing them. New features and updates are avail on a regular basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the upgrade cycles and be aggressive and some of our customers find a hard time keeping up and having problems with their ISV's and the release cycle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OpenShift Virtualization provides a viable alternative to Hypervisors that either are too expensive or not feature rich enough.

What do you like best about the product?
Red Hat OpenShift allows you to easily manage you Containers and VM's. It allows you to easily install and use various operators such as IBM Fusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
OpenShift can be a bit of a learning curve if coming from other container and virtualization products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to manage multiple clusters with persistent storage. With the addition of IBM Fusion I can also easily back up and recovery my VM's and containers
Best Kubernetes for Enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
The Openshift Marketplace and the products of Red Hat, that integrate smoothly into Openshift makes it to one of the best Kubernetes Platforms on the world. You don't have to struggle with integrations of Authentication, Software Defined Storage or other important solutions for your stack.

What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve from pure Kubernetes to Openshift is steep. Struggling with SCCs or other built-in security standards can be pitty, but if it works, you're all set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing fast paced Deployments of Kubernetes for Customers with batteries included.

easy to install and set up. Stability and user community.

air-gapped environments are always a pain to bootstrap vs internet-connected

Keeping Kubernetes as simple as possible to manage and administer
The platform of the future
What do you like best about the product?
OpenShift makes everything about kubernetes ready for the Enterprise. It allows us to apply security, scaling, and elasticity for the whole company without having to require each team to purchase hardware and do their own setup. It is being used for many lift-n-shift apps as well as micro services and now even virtual machines that cannot easily move to containers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to keep up on all the things it can do and be able to utilize everything to best of its ability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our enterprise platform problem, by allowing a central team to manage and maintain it for everyone, regardless of what they are deploying.
Openshift is good, but too heavyweight

It is user friendly and secure. It is easy to set up

Too many pods. Too much memory. A lighter version would be good to heave.

Complex but far more accessible and stable than a Vanilla Kubernetes

Kind of hard to deploy, subscription policy a bit complex.

Using OpenShift as an alternate to Broadcom

It allows us to move to another source rather easily.

We have had some issues figuring out the storage side of how nodes will work on OpenShift.

Need to get out of one solution and into RedHat OpenShift as our new solution.
