What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very intuitive and easy to use. provides a step by step guide for beginners. Also, a rich ecosystem to support users.
The platform provides a wide array of tools, pre-built use cases and apps that would help to jump-start to unlocking its value.
It is easy to connect other systems to Celonis through API's, where the app store provides apps and use cases for connecting the majority of common ERP platforms.
There is no restriction in terms of Celonis capabilities since you can use it for both discovering hidden bottlenecks and also confirming ones that you'd assume to have a problem.

Hard to identify the right use case using own expertise or when not having a specific problem in mind.
Sometimes the platform has technical issues in loading/synching which is usually solved on its own within a few hours or the next working day!
To implement and drive value efficiently, you need a top-notch consultant who can work well on the platform in identifying and select the most optimal use cases.

Some of the KPI's where we struggled to get hands on where readily available like cycle-time, re-work rate, automation rate, cost per item, uncovers hidden inefficiencies, compliance violations and bottlenecks in the process.
Ability to develop custom KPI and analytical reports with minim efforts are a huge bonus.

Celonis is a Breakthrough for SAP process improvement !!
What do you like best about the product?
The Celonis team have delivered an outstanding product and a framework for delivering benefits which is without peer in the market place. The tool is extremely easy for new users but also extremely powerful for experienced users. The framework that Celonis have provided for identifying business benefits based on the clients data is an outstanding piece of work. They have utilised the experience from hundreds of clients to build a robust approach / methodology
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I am continually surprised by how well thought out the toolset is. Of course there are always improvements to be made in any product but these are more in additional features coming. I think some additional functionality with the conformance checker (e.g. to have an "if" rule for different sceanrios) and a data plot graph would be useful additions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our focus at the moment is on improving the SAP Procurement processes for clients. So far we have identified millions of dollars of savings for clients. These have been across such topics as automation, minimising manual work, EDI enablement, Supplier Consolidation, Contract Usage and Maverick Buying. The ability to build event logs based on any IT system provides the scope to improve any IT based process.

I have over 25 years experience as an SAP consultant. Without question Celonis is the most effective way to identify, prioritise and deliver benefits based on business process improvements. You should start now because in 5 years time all your competitors will be doing Process Mining with Celonis.

What do you like best about the product?
The Customer Engagement Manager is a free of charge 24/7 Support for all your concerns. The product itself is applicable to every process and all different source systems. The software is easy to use and the can be implemented really fast. For me the huge success of Celonis isn't a real suprise. Almost every organization can benefit by using the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many different Login credentials required. (Software itself, learning platform...)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detecting inefficiencies and identify the real bottlenecks. The software can be used to identify compliance issues as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Celonis offers the possibility to perform a so called prove of value week. This week requires only a small investment by your company. But it is really worth the money. The celonis guys come to your company and do Workshops with all possible stakeholders in your company. Since every process has potential to improve I am sure they'll find inefficiencies in your business processes as well. If your Company is able to eliminate them, celonis is one of the top investments you've ever made.
Great Software to Analyze your Timestamp Data
What do you like best about the product?
The process explorer is a very powerful tool to analyze common patterns in your timestamp data. Not only can you analyze business processes but also all kind of timestamp related activities such as website log files and therefore customer journeys.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance of the process explorer is limited. Analyzing lots of unique activities and many different variants caused by multiple loops and a variety of process paths makes the process explorer quite slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Celonis to understand common behavioral patterns among our users. Based on those patterns we were able to aim for a more customized service offering.
Perfect tool for management and optimization
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to analyze their global processes at their fingertips, build and easily create critical KPIs, and focus on specific non-standardized processes. Once the data model definition is complete, it is great that the analyst's profile can perform many activities on their own without any IT support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool does not incorporate some standard SAP tools and databases in its basic configuration for PtP and AP processing, such as SAP's SRM and VIM tools. It is essential to complete the data model definition. Our SAP store has very few modifications to SAP. In fact, we do not have additional data tables. We have used all the standard SAP-supported add-ons. Celonis should incorporate additional modules, such as SRM and VIM, into its standard configuration package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily identify non-compliant activities within standard processes and the resolutions of objectives through education or improvements to our process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The project teams and business teams must provide the necessary time and effort to define the data models. If your data model is not correct and the activity definitions are clearly defined, the tool will be of no use after implementation. It will only cause additional confusion.

Weak documentation-all questions have to contact technical support. All the knowledge is concentrated in the minds of developers and they have to get hard every time.

Improving the efficiency of business processes. The lack of a single point of "truth" in the company where there is all the information about how the processes actually work.

Be sure to try the product on your data in the pilot project. Definitely! The vendor needs to strengthen the product documentation. I see that there are great opportunities that many simply do not know.
