The best solution I've worked with for companies that need robust wordpress based sites
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the dev, test, and live environments work by limiting the users ability to push code changes and content changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve that requires some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pantheon has helped us to make and launch experimental changes on our live site, while also allowing us to create an entirely new design for an upcoming site redesign. This has made our workflow for web design and updates much easier. The version control systems they have make it easy for me and my developers/designers to push new changes and to rollback stuff that doesnt work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Book a demo, setup an account and give it a go. Its free to launch a project as long as it doesnt have a live domain.
Pretty Good Platform | Mixed Bag Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is mostly reliable and does provide a simpler path for hosting Drupal.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer service has taken a downturn since working with the company. Or at least we were treated pretty poorly and forced into a contract renewal by an AWOL customer rep. I've had a few instances where salespeople have rubbed me the wrong way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managed CMS hosting. Less time spent maintaining infra.
Pantheon is terrific all-around platform for hosting your WordPress or Drupal sites!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the 24-hour service they provide, where I can chat with their - extremely - customer service at any of the time of day or night... that 24-hour availability was most important factor in choosing between platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to host multiple CMS from a single instance, if necessary
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We host multiple sites within our organization and Pantheon provides the best solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As an all-around hosting option for Drupal and WordPress, Pantheon is a great option!
Support is Mediocre at best - Don't like the auto-upgrade feature
What do you like best about the product?
Good uptime and response to crisis when bad things happen. They handle Drupal incredibly well - I've never had any issues with their willingness to provide help and direction for dealing with D8 issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto-upgrade to Performance level (extra $350 a month) due to going over the monthly threshold of site visits. However, site visits were from a Chinese bot, evidently, but the logs of this information were not willing to be shared with us. Despite several requests for the logs and not a straightforward response providing a rationale as to why they could not provide them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They've hosted our site for a few years and at a reasonable price so I'm a bit upset by the recent "upgrade"
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would not recommend Pantheon based on the experience I shared earlier - the auto-upgrade to a performance plan. I think it would be great if they could provide access to a WAF to block any countries or additional IPs, etc. Further, if correspondence could take place in a timely matter on these topics. Truthfully, because the price jump is so ridiculous, we are likely going to be moving to another service in the coming weeks - likely as soon as this COVID-19 stuff dies down.
We don't make any money either - we're a public health agency and our funding is limited. Would be great if Pantheon provided a discount for services such as ours.

Review of Pantheon
What do you like best about the product?
Dashboard is simple to use with good documentation, which allows us to have a controlled push to production. The integration with Wordpress is also great
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I engage in a chat and agent will create a ticket for me. They just grab the whole thread and post into a ticket. There should be a better way to summarize and make it more concise
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solves our hosting issue since we do not have an internal server team. We can control updates to our production site within a single group. We also get the benefit of having a dev, test and prod environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use some of the built in tools like Local Dev
Great service. Can become a little expensive when more users.
What do you like best about the product?
Deployment. Dev / Test / Live environment. UX
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing when more than 50,000 users. Should me more flexible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Different clients using Drupal 7 & 8 needed a good hosting solution. Great for shared codebase and multiple people working on a project.
Pantheon is secure and great for your whole team.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface for managing our deployed websites, the backups and the sandbox to test versions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow is complicated for team members who don't do it every day. But they have easy, helpful online tools to guide you through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pantheon has helped us manage versions and updates and backups and security.
Hands Down the best Drupal and Wordpress hosting
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is setup in a way that just makes sense; it's easy to use and simply works right the first time. The documentation and support are second to none. And the training is top-notch!
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be hard to sell to lower-end clients, and not everyone understands what hosting is and why hosting companies differ so greatly in price
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continuous integration, automatic back ups and a streamline workflow are the most important features for and successful deployment
Niche Quality
What do you like best about the product?
The stable servers and the support team are excellent.
They provide an informative documentation that will be a very great asset for your technical team.
The method they provide to transfer the account and payment from our account/the agency to the client is very smooth for both sides, and especially the client's side.
The Agency or organization is very helpful, and it allows the owner of the website to pay for the hosting, while our technical team access as the supporting organization, this is very clever method and helps to distinguish the roles between the Development organization and the owners.
They provide dev, test and live environments, this is essential for our development team and our QA team.

What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't faced any issues, but this service does not come cheap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a stable servers and i needed a customer support that can actually solve problems, I was on GoDaddy before and i couldn't get a proper support or at least what i expected, they always returned with the either "we see no problems" or "please ask your developer".
With Pantheon, i found both to be excellent.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
They provide what they promise and they are reachable, they will assist you with everything.
Slate Digital | Pantheon Services
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a fan of Pantheon's three platforms (dev, test, live). Also the ability to switch between GIT version control and SFTP. Second to all of that is the ability to develop locally.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there is no control over the Live platform files. If I need an immediate change to files, while developing a larger change on DEV, it's frustrating not being able to change something simple and quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently working on a company rebrand. This includes an updated website and testing many options and variations of our new site. So it's nice having a dev server to test things quickly and showcase them for the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My only recommendation would be to make sure you never need to edit Live files while developing something bigger on Dev.
