Excellent service at a great price.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability Pantheon gives you to manage all of your environments in one dashboard. The Pantheon dashboard gives you a chance move data, files, and code between environments very easily. I also like that with using Pantheon it gives us a chance to develop instead of maintaining server environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Pantheon is there is no continuous integration built into the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have realized that a great advantage in the time we are spend maintaining environments and sites and can in-turn pass along this cost/time savings to our customers. Pantheon really makes it easy to deploy and maintain Drupal sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For most cases Pantheon could make sense and is a significant cost savings. Evaluate the amount of time spent maintaining servers and environments and try spinning up a free Pantheon Sandbox account to see how this time can be saved.
Pantheon for scalability
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to get code from dev to live. It makes testing out new features easy for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to rollback when something goes wrong with just code. It seems like there is only a way to rollback all of the site to a previous date, unless it is done through git.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to host large scale sites with relative ease on Pantheon. We used to have some pretty convoluted ways to get things out to production and deploying always seemed like it would cause a lot of stress but not so with Pantheon.
Delightful.
What do you like best about the product?
Rock solid stability. Follows best practices. Multi-dev is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice to be able to integrate third party services like tests, selenium, etc. Can't say I "dislike" anything, really.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High traffic websites, high stability, good search integration (solr), someone else to manage the infrastructure, patching, etc., and Pantheon has provided all of these things.
Repeatedly used and recommended pantheon for easy Drupal and Wordpress hosting.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of deployment.
Dev->Stage->Prod workflow is easy.
Ability to switch from git to sftp.
Agency set up to enable contractors limited access to projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
No contact phone number for emergencies.
Occasionally inflexible due to large shared hosting environment.
Occasionally inflexible due to large shared hosting environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Removing hosting as something we need to worry about. Pantheon has helped us move most of our websites off of our internal servers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stop self-hosting. Let someone else manage this for you.
Great managed hosting if you run the app's they support
What do you like best about the product?
It scales well and their workflow promotes best practices
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't run just any code in their environment, they dont offer a CDN or any storage outside of their one size fits all pricing plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managed hosting thats secure, easily updated and scales
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Also look at CDN's for storage, it fills up quick! Also don't be too quick to jump up their pricing tiers.
Used it for several months to do drupal development/deployment
What do you like best about the product?
Drupal-specific product focus was really nice, and the dev/staging/deployment environments was an innovative idea for a hosting company to have out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the end it was just another tool to learn, seemed like a waste of time when as a developer you need to know how the stack works anyway – might as well just get a vps and install it yourself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're a full stack developer, it might not be the best fit, or it might add additional layers of complexity
Excellent Drupal Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
It's relatively simply to manage staging and live environments and everything is geared toward running an optimal Drupal install (in our particular case). During our most recent redesign, we were able to design everything in the same place and push live pretty easily.
We now use Pantheon for multiple client accounts and really appreciate the workflow they have establish in going from concept to production.

What do you dislike about the product?
The setup isn't particularly intuitive, especially if you haven't been involved in the initial setup. We found some of their documentation around our specific questions to be somewhat minimal and would have appreciated a little more information about some basic questions we had.
Luckily though, their support is top notch and they're able to answer questions about how things work quickly and easily.
We're generally very satisfied with the service and would recommend them freely.

One of the best hosting platforms I've ever worked with!
What do you like best about the product?
Pantheon has the best customer service and ticketing system. They are very responsive with any inquiries one may have about their website, the underlying infrastructure of the hosting, and provide feedback and guidance if a customer is unsure of their needs.
Regarding their platform, it cannot be simpler to use! They provide adequate documentation to deploy and migrate your site to their platform -- as well as three environments for every site - development, staging, and production. Their user interface also allows the user to drag and drop databases from one environment to another -- providing another layer of abstraction.
Perhaps the best feature that Pantheon offers for developers is their "Multi-dev" functionality. This allows developers to test individual feature branches on their own spin-ups of the site! This is extremely useful when you are developing a feature, but do not want this feature to affect any other development happening on the site.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Pantheon is their location - they are based in San Francisco, so a lot of the meet-ups events that they hold are usually on the West Coast. This isn't particular important - as their customer service is responsive 24/7.
Excellent WordPress and Drupal hosting with built-in deployment workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I love Pantheon! The team at Pantheon is amazing, and they are constantly innovating to try and make life easier for developer and their clients. Their hosting platform supports both WordPress and Drupal. I've split my review into two sections, one for business owners and one for developers.
Business Owners: Are you sick of having to maintain your servers? Tired of paying a sysadmin to do work that really can be automated these days? Pantheon has your back, and it makes life SO much easier! Plus, with their support for adding team members, you can add your subcontracted developer during your project and, if needed, revoke access at any time. YOU remain in control of your hosting account without having to give a contractor the keys to the kingdom. It's pretty awesome. And their platform scales effortlessly with traffic. Since it's container based, it takes seconds instead of minutes to scale.
Developers: If terms like continuous integration and automated deployment matter to you as a developer, then you need to check Pantheon out now. There are development, testing and live environments built-in as part of the platform. Multidev is a ridiculously convenient feature, too. Want a branch of your code to experiment in? Sure! Instantly create a fork of your entire site with all the performance of your live environment and start deploying and experimenting. STFP. Git. Support for team members with their own credentials. Varnish. Redis. SAML/SSO support. Site monitoring. Intrusion detection. Responsive support from people who actually know what they're talking about. They hit every single feature I'm looking for as a developer.
Summary: Pantheon is a website platform, not a simple hosting environment. Some of the features are nearly magical, and the others are all on the wishlist I've had for my sites for years. I wouldn't believe it existed if I didn't use it! Check it out!

What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly haven't found anything to dislike, but will update if I do!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multidev makes it easy to work with a team. Pricing is very reasonable for what you're getting. Consistently performs in the top 5 of Managed WordPress hosts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Migrate a site you have that gets a ton of traffic and look at the performance difference. It's worth taking the extra time to test no matter what platform, but with Pantheon, I was more than pleasantly surprised with the result!
Pantheon One | A One-Stop Shop for Agencies
What do you like best about the product?
By far, the interface, ease-of-use, and support provided by Pantheon is hands down one of the best in the industry. The tools implemented to help manage teams, set up a development process, and launch sites has never been easier. Every site gets a performance boost with the addition of the global CDN and built-in SSL certificates with Let's Encrypt.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need to host a Drupal site as a multisite, or need to install external software on the same system, unfortunately you're out of luck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pantheon simplifies site management, development, and deployment for our entire organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a solid Drupal host that's easy to understand and gives you all the tools you need to run a website efficiently without worrying about devops, Pantheon is definitely the way to go.
