Pantheon
What do you like best about the product?
It is built specifically for WP sites. I love the seemless dev/test/flow workstream
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to manage infrastructure items (when needed) - however - their knowledge base is top notch
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
single environment for managed WP hosting
Takes the pain out of long-term managing Drupal
What do you like best about the product?
The support, interface, git integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pantheon filesystem has failed to mount on more than one occasion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term support, should be easy and fearless to apply updates.
Some gripes but overall a great hosting option for our Drupal sites
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, easy to use interfaces, streamlined. Multi-dev environments are really useful. Pricing is decent when compared to other providers in the same space.
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest complaint is that the professional plan is required for an SSL, PLUS an SSL fee, per month. That one drives me nuts. I have a really hard time justifying it to customers. Hurts every time.
The dev workflow that once code hits the dev environment it has to go upstream. No changing of branches. I always feel like the dev and stage environments are rendered mostly useless by this workflow.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that it fits the basic hosting use case for Drupal sites. Makes life as a developer much easier. We just focus on developing and can forget about dealing with hosting.
Extremely easy set up
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is the different environments - dev, test, and live. This makes it extremely easy to do staging for a client site. You can process updates and get client feedback and then easily push your changes to live. It is extremely easy to keep things in sync and you only have to working about making changes on one site, dev. There's tools provided to get your changes from dev to test to live.
What do you dislike about the product?
Excellent for client sites but pricing is expensive for personal hosting for multiple sites. That is the only downside I've found. I'd love to move all my own sites to it but the cost prevents me from doing so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy staging environments for client sites. it's very easy to pass a site off to a client for billing purposes while still retaining access for ongoing development. There's no need to maintain a separate site for staging. Since there's no cost for a site in development, it says us or the client money on unneeded hosting expenses.
Pantheon provides automatic backups so there's no need for an additional service for that. They basically provide everything in one place and that makes it easy for developers and clients.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Pantheon if you're using WordPress or Drupal. It can save you a lot of time, money, and effort when working on client sites. It reduces most of the headaches you come across when dealing with client hosting.
Having a single platform for CMS implementations is truly a net savings.
What do you like best about the product?
Adherence to best practices for scalability and implementation.
Always having a sandbox for new features, via the multidev environments.
Support of a team who understands their platform.
Asides from one large global event, outages have been restricted to predictable maintenance or quick resolution with little impact.

What do you dislike about the product?
A REST API for platform management would be a welcomed addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single, documented, and predictable experience for developers makes on boarding resources a breeze. Instituting a QA process that completely involves the customer, through leveraging cloning and use of the test multidev environments clients can verify changes before deployment The impact is less bugs make it to end users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No platform exists that is as simple, well supported, and easier to onboard.
My favorite hosting platform
What do you like best about the product?
Pantheon makes my job easier. They're awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. The platform interface and technical support are both top notch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A robust workflow for a distributed developer team.
Great Wordpress hosting for a great price.
What do you like best about the product?
Enterprise features for a great price (dev/test/live instances, automatic backups, code revision control).
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a dislike per se, but because Pantheon takes a more rigid approach to ensuring your environment is setup in the best possible way, it can take some time and knowhow to get your site setup the first time. You definitely need to read the docs in order to familiarize yourself with the import process and mandatory workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sites are faster, safer, and more secure. Pantheon gives me the peace of mind that in case of an issue, I'll be able to recover my sites more quickly and easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've heard pushback from my customers on the price difference from low-cost hosts such as GoDaddy or HostGator ($5-$10/mo) vs Pantheon ($25/mo). If your site is a hobby, then maybe a low-cost host is fine, but if you're serious about your website as a business tool, then the fees for Pantheon are nominal and I would consider them a no-brainer. As a long-time veteran in this space, I've grown tired of being burned by low-cost hosts and it's really not worth my time any longer to try and save a few bucks. For the low costs guys, you can just about bet that eventually you'll have an issue, and everything you saved for the year will be spent after the first time you hire an expert to fix your problem.
Overall a great product!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability of creating multiple environments. We are a small development shop and getting everyone on the same page using GIT has also been a huge time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inconsistencies in the user experience. For example, when merging from a branch the drop down has always been buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effectiveness. We were once "cowboy coding" which while we were maintaining we are able to create quality products now with the use of Pantheon.
Pretty decent product
What do you like best about the product?
Easy deployment workflow, multidev system, easy backup/restore process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some UI elements are not working properly (like Clear Cache button). Also if there are some extra requirements to database config, you are not able to change anything (even support guys can't help you).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a back-end developer and sometimes we can provide pantheon acces for dev-ops or event customers and it seems they're mostly happy with the admin panel and how fast everything is working.
Streamlined WordPress Deployment and Management
What do you like best about the product?
We really like the shared development environment ease of setup and contribution aspects. This along with 3 environments makes sharing our development updates with clients a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates to plugins are a bit more cumbersome but like all managed environments should be, this forces you to preview any plugin changes for adverse side effects prior to actually pushing them to production!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've solved remote development issues outside of github or bitbucket. Not that we mind using those, but it's nice to manage all things in one place.
