Pretty Great Hosting
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, great documentation, and you can actually see git history on the admin interface -- unlike Acquia.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm. Terminus has a learning curve -- but we had great training at the start and the documentation is pretty good. Using a different upstream makes things a bit tricky, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's just made our entire hosting infrastructure so much better, and a lot less painful. We spend a lot less time on devops now and can focus more on the work of building and maintaining sites for our clients. More than any platform I've used, Pantheon does not get in the way of my job.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will have the easiest experience if you start a totally new build on Pantheon and use their Upstream to build on top of.
As a dev, I recommend you make use of Terminus. It's extremely helpful.

Awesome PAAS
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very stable platform as a service solution. Very good support, excellent documentation. Nice people when talking to them in support or Slack. In summary, they're great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things are not so easily customizable but that's ok because that's necessary to make a great platform! Ex. Solr config files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeHosting
Performance monitoring

Review title
What do you like best about the product?
Deploying code from development to testing to production is very intuitive. I also like the system-wide Drupal updates you provide.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were having issues with core Drupal contact form submissions being received. In a chat with tech support, I was told "Our platform is not reliable in sending emails" and was directed to third-party email services.
Also, when I visit http://pantheonsite.io/, I have to click log in. It would be great if I was automatically redirected to my dashboard if already logged in.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Development environment and hosting client sites.
Reliable and safe hosting, my go to host
What do you like best about the product?
I never doubt the security of my site. Also love that its a fully integrated solution. As a developer, it has git, branching, environments, etc... all in one package available to me. No more wasting countless hours setting up stuff, its all there out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
The url rewriting during a sync between environments is wonky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have setup sandbox websites within pantheon. Very easy for us to spin up sites. We can have a fully functioning prototype for a site spun up in a 1/2 day
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Cant emphasize enough, Pantheon has a bunch of the tools built in
Web Dev and Hosting - awesomeness
What do you like best about the product?
I love so many things; it's impossible to list just one: "multidev" environments, git, SFTP, new relic, automated back-ups, easy support, great docs, clear process flow for dev -> test -> production. I could go on. :)
What do you dislike about the product?
I want more "multidev" sites so I can have playgrounds for more clients (both company internal and external). Fine, I guess ten is enough, but they're super cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past we hosted on AWS and had to deal with ELB (elastic load balancers) and multiple front-ends. Also the relational database server (RDS) and making our own back-ups. Lastly, patching our Linux OS and dealing with watching out for the latest security exploits. Plus, ensuring our SSL certs are properly deployed and using a CDN. Now, that's all handled for us.
We also had to spin-up our own dev and test environments. Now that's just part of the established workflow. Multidev support folds perfectly into the model making it easy for a multi-developer team.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spin-up a test account, kick the tires, look under the hood, and you'll realize there's a lot going on behind the scenes to make your job easier and to allow you to focus on dev and less on server management
I enjoy pantheon a lot.
What do you like best about the product?
The dev environment along with the sftp/git hybrid. Also, free https is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support that comes from the Philippines. There a guy that, if I get him, I don't feel like he ever understands what my issues are. Also, I understand the price increases, but they way they were rolled out was super confusing and unnecessarily stressful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As far as "business problems", I think the biggest thing is the ability to do https. Most of the solutions our customers are looking for are basic and honestly could be done at any other host... though your my favorite at the moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you go through an agency, this is your best bet.
Very good test environment
What do you like best about the product?
Easy setup for content management system, especially Drupal and Wordpress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks terminal access for applying patches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of testing content management system features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While Pantheon lacks terminal access, the ease of setup and testing in this environment is quick and easy.
Great service
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to reach out to someone via multiple channels has been great and other then issues which need immediate attention, you are likely to be dealing with the same employees all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The depth of the products can be a bit challenging and integrations with other services varies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High availability and performance. So far our performance is improved and is trending toward a long term improvement over past hosting. The ease of deployments has been crucial
Simple and robust
What do you like best about the product?
Pantheon provides a robust yet simple service that allows for minimal set-up and intuitive UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Pantheon can be confusing for non-devs. Our marketing team often interacts with our dashboard and it can be a bit overwhelming for them at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using less engineering resources to manage our company blog. We've got everything we could ask for in a hosted Wordpress solution.
I am Drupal developer and use Pantheon
What do you like best about the product?
I like the build-in performance, the Status page and multidev possibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like almost everything, probably price can be lower. And also bring back New Relic to Basic plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for building and hosting Drupal sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are going to work on the site improvements and not on hosting choose it.
