The best way to take everything with you everywhere you go

  • August 20, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is basically unlimited storage (2tb) for the monthly fee. It allows me to keep everything I need at the office and at home, in one place where I know it is safe and backed up with versioning. I am able to access from Mac, Windows, ios, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I dislike is the cost. I know they offer a lot of features but I do not need 2 TB and making it mandatory for me to upgrade and not grandfathering the price was kind of a turn off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to keep everything I need in one central location on all devices and it acts as a backup as well since I can log in to any new computer and quickly have access to whatever I should need from my dropbox account.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check your other options but I don't think you are going to find anything that offers all the features that dropbox does. Dropbox works, doesn't crash when there is a sync issue and is just generally the easiest one to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to store and share files on the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
That all file sharing users must have data storage instead of just the owner of the dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can share files remotely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
File space is limited unless you pay extra.

Great for sharing large files

  • August 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great for sharing large files. File links do not expire. It's easy to rename, delete, upload, download and favorite files.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a maximum storage for personal accounts. For more storage, you have to pay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for sharing large files with people outside of your organization. Send files too large to attach to emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can also sync it to an app on your phone or mobile device.

Dropbox Unlimited storage and download from any device.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it is very easy to use. The fact that I can access my files from anywhere with Internet. I can send documents that are too large to send by email, Dropbox is a very good choice, it can automatically sync all photos and videos just by accessing the Internet from any of my devices, which makes it easy to use by simply linking with my account and thus obtaining everything quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am very happy with its ease of use without any problem, it is understandable for anyone how to use it. Some of the membership packages are a bit expensive, it provides opportunities for the company to generate income from storage subscriptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I track the files and share with important members of the company, I like to know when a change has been made to a file because we work with very large documents that are mostly too big to send via email and we don't have the option to use a jump drive. These files can be viewed, edited, and shared from any internet-based device computer, allowing us to password protect the accounts so that all your files are secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This program is easy and very reliable, it is available for any device as long as you have an Internet connection. It also offers unlimited storage, which is why I recommend it.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the best is that I can work from any computer and the information will be there and also I can modify some documents from any computer anywhere in the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can’t modify the documents on my phone, I need to do it on the computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My boss is in another state but with Dropbox it is much easier to work together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very useful if you work with someone that is in another place, also is very useful if you work from home or if you travel a lot.

Outstanding file share tool

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use- I can upload one moment and have my client get the file immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
The speed. I have become accustomed to near-instant uploads and dropbox can sometimes take a few minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way Dropbox allows me to share files without filling my email inbox or taking up my own server is very helpful. Whether I am getting feedback on an edit I made or delivering final copy, this is a godsend!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it!

Good But Restricting

  • July 02, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can store larger files — especially hi-res photos — on Dropbox and send a link for someone to download them. It was difficult to send photos before because anything larger than 10 mb doesn’t go through. So sometimes I had to send 4 or 5 emails to send all the files. This program eliminated that. And loved that I can upload photos straight from my phone to the app. It’s very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is somewhat limited for total save capacity. You can pay more for a larger file save capacity. But it is a big jump from free to their paid subscription. It was better to delete folders if no longer needed files and store those on my hard drive. That said, I had to upload them again if I wanted or needed to resend them. I find the computer website a little harder to use than the app. But it has more features available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to send photos with the freelance articles I write. Whether they are photos I am sent or photos I take. I can make a photo folder and share them with my editor.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a program/app to help with moving larger files — especially photos — then this is the perfect choice.

Dropbox - your cloud harddisk!

What do you like best about the product?
The option of using the dropbox data across different platforms, including mobile and web. Also the use of dropbox across different Free OSes like Ubuntu, Debian and Mint makes storing files an easy task.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free user of a dropbox, has a cloud space of only 2Gb where as other cloud services like Box.com or even sync.com have more space for a free user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I save different types of files related to my official work and as well as to my research across this cloud space. So sharing of data is an easy task, also mainitaining the same file across different platforms is easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is the best cloud vendor currently, but think of this: what if you had stored private data in your dropbox space.. I mean the security and privacy of your data could be a question to think. Of course we have other alternatives like ownCloud or even the old famous megaupload creator platform called mega.nz. We need to think more than once when we want to put private / personal data into dropbox or even any cloud service. That is what I fee.

I couldn't live without Dropbox

What do you like best about the product?
I use it both for personal file storage that I might need to access at home and on my laptop and also for work shared folders and for club related shared things. I'm on a paid plan and Dropbox keep on adding useful features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it's a great product both for personal and business use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I help run a London softball league and Dropbox is invaluable for sharing files between the committee. It's also useful for work projects where work can be shared or just made available publicly through a link available to others. Personally I use the ability to share folders across devices so can work on documents etc on whichever device I'm on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fab product, so useful

Drop Box streamlines our work communication

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having a common place for team members to share project information is important in our program. It’s not practical to email individual versions to team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike running out of space. The space restriction is confusing. I have to clear my files frequently to make room.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team members can post images or large scale files for the rest of the team to collect or just look at. It’s efficient and easy to invite specific people to projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It’s very easy to use.
