Great cloud-storage option!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Dropbox offers browser- and Explorer-based file management. It's super easy to use across OS platforms--I often switch between my work PC and home Mac--and am so grateful for that!

It also offers a lot of different plans, from free/basic to tiered paid plans, so it meets anyone's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I always wish they (companies in general, in addition to Dropbox) offered more storage in free versions--but I can't complain when I'm not paying for something. :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to store files I don't need frequent access to, and that I can sync across multiple operating systems. It takes the tech guesswork out of it all, and that makes me happy! Love that I'm not dependent on any one device to access these.

The first one & the best one

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is an easy way to send files & folders to other co-workers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was not a data limit cap on the free product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I was able to use it at work I would send video files to other reporters for a daily newscast. Then our IT department blocked it for some reason.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wheter you need to share with other co-workers files or folders dropbox is easy to use.

Dropbox Business is a necessary part of our workflow.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Dropbox all day, every day. love how easy it is to find ANYTHING at all-- super quickly. All of our clients files going back years are easily accessible, sharable, and always there. And you can control the sharability and revoke it as needed when projects end.

Dropbox file sharing is an integral part of how my business runs. It's enabled me to cut email largely out of the mix when it comes to sharing and sending drafts and final versions of documents to clients. And, unlike attaching things to an email, if I find a mistake or have to make edits *after* the document has been sent to the client, I can do so, usually before they've even noticed . ;)

Version history has saved my life many a time. Being able to roll back to a previous good version of a file is a massive benefit.

It's easy to implement and use across devices too--my PC, laptop, phone, and iPad are all connected, so no matter where I am I can pick up and work on documents in progress, or share them as needed.

The search seems to have inmproved lately, too. I scan my personal files/ important documents onto Dropbox, and anytime I need to pull up some random tax or insurance document, it's right there.

Dropbox is secure. I trust its security. However, for some reason, some larger Enterprise clients (or at least their IT departments) do not. For those clients, none of their employees can access Dropbox through their firewall, so I have had to find some workarounds for file sharing. I believe Dropbox should do a better job communicating trust to these larger companies, or, if there are truly security issues to be concerned about, shoring those up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm hesitant to integrate Dropbox's ancillary offerings into my workflow/tech stack/SOPs, because they keep either 1) working weirdly, 2) being poorly supported, or they get 3) straight up discontinued (perhaps because of 1 and 2).

PAPER

I didn't like that there still wasn't full integration with Dropbox Paper for years. I think that has been addressed, but it took so long that I long since moved on to other solutions for collaborative documents, so I haven't looked into what the latest is there.

(The folder structure of Paper was entirely separate from Dropbox, making it so that documents created in Paper couldn't be stored in project folders -- you would have to have clients look in two separate places for relevant documents. I believe they have now been integrated in some way.)

CAPTURE | SEND & TRACK
I just got a notification that both Dropbox Capture and Dropbox Send & Track are being discontinued. I was using Capture fairly often to send clients async meetings and overviews of drafts (I'm a designer), and it was great for that. The desktop app was helpful. I liked being able to see when the video was opened, and to be able to track analytics on it. And much like reviewing videos on Dropbox, comments could be made at certain timestamps. I suppose it's back to using Loom now, or recording my screen with Camtasia, uploading to Dropbox, and sharing the link to that video. It'll mean using another platform, or going through a lot of extra steps.

DROPBOX SIGN/ SIGNATURES

I have Dropbox Esssentials, which means I have access to "SIGNATURES" on my sidebar. Under which, my contract templates and signing history can be seen. HOWEVER, I am not able to send documents out for signatures using SIGNATURES. Error messages result. I spoke to support about this at length, and the solution is for me to, instead, go to Dropbox Sign at sign.dropbox.com, login again there, and then send my documents out using that. It works, but....why can't I use all of the features on Dropbox? Why this workaround? Why are there TWO different and confusing dropbox signature features? It makes no sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to attach things to emails anymore and have multiple versions of documents going back and forth with clients and contractors. And we dont have to worry about sending large files. It's all there and downloadable from dropbox.

Dropbox Professional is exactly what we needed!

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has been a part of my life for a long time. For Microsoft Word, I use my Dropbox folder as my default location. As a result, all of my Word documents are immediately saved to Dropbox. Dropbox keeps numerous versions of my files, which is one of my favorite features. So, if a template file becomes corrupted due to user error, I can quickly restore the original version. If a critical file is accidentally erased, I can quickly recover it. Another feature I appreciate is the ability to share a file, allowing me to send a link to it to anybody I wish. It's not even necessary for that person to have a Dropbox account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search features are not what I would like them to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
file sharing, ability to access files from anywhere

One of the best cloud storages

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing that I like about Dropbox is the security it provides. It has a lot of features that you will not find in other similar products like you can share huge files easily, can sync passwords between devices, create documents there only, sign doc and send, etc. like it is fully packed with such small feature. Apart from that UI is also very clean. Also, you access your files from anywhere and it is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about this software in fact it is better than some of the other similar products available in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Dropbox solves for me is data storage, file sharing and security.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Dropbox for its versatility in storing project data; it is efficient and collaborative because it allows sending large files to clients and teams with a simple copy and paste method; It is also useful and practical for creating backup copies on servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if Dropbox increased the storage limit for the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is a tool that allows to have a safe and accessible backup of files and information of each project, favorable and convenient to share file information with other specialties or areas of the company, practical to instantly update any change allowing the access to the most recent copy of files as well as allows the recovery of documents and files just by clicking the undo button.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Dropbox as an easy way to access files and folders from a computer or mobile device, and it also has a mobile app for iOS, Android, and smartphones that you can download and connect.

Dropbox is excellent for teams and projects

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an excellent software to share files easily for my colleagues and me. It's quick and effective, making sharing files seamless as we can upload and send them in no time. We can upload multiple files simultaneously, saving time as a result. We can keep track of all the uploads and reupload if they fail due to a connection error. Dropbox makes file sharing simpler as we can copy and paste the URL to anyone and allow them to download the file. We can also use their email as a medium of transferring files. Dropbox offers methods to organize your file to your liking. You can create folders and sort them in any manner of your convenience so that you can find any file you're looking for quickly. Unlike Microsoft OneDrive, the files you upload do not get deleted for any period of inactivity. So, you can upload your files to Dropbox and have them on the cloud for months and years for backup and storage. I like that Dropbox has support for more than just Windows. I can use it on my android and iOS phones for uploading or receiving files from others. Due to its cross-platform support, Dropbox is also an effective and secure program for transferring confidential or essential files to my computer and back.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox, being a standalone software, has limited features compared to Google Drive, which has more depth and tools for group work and collaboration on docs and sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is my go-to program for sending files to my colleagues. I've been using it for many years for storing files and sharing them quickly due to its instant uploads and secure URLs. But due to the global pandemic, I've been an avid user of Dropbox for many of its features. My colleagues and I use it for uploading files and sharing, which is our primary purpose as we're working at home due to social distancing rules. We have common storage in shared folders, where we can upload files that everyone can access without sending invitations multiple times. We have viewing and editing access for all the members who can view these folders, making it easier for us to work on the cloud for writing code. Dropbox is a much more effective version of GitHub as we can not only collaborate and edit code but also share them without any hassle. We can use Dropbox Paper, Word Document, and Google Docs to create and edit documents on Dropbox. For spreadsheets, we can use the Excel Workbook or Google Sheets. Dropbox also allows us to create presentations seamlessly through PowerPoint and Google Slides. We can also create a blank Dropbox Paper Template and work on it collaboratively for any use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox has been an excellent problem-solving tool for file transfer. It's straightforward and intuitive with a user-friendly UI, making it easier to upload and share files. It's effective for group work and documentation editing, which has been beneficial to my colleagues and me. I've been using it for many years, and I can guarantee that it's worth using for more productivity and saving time.

Great for sharing

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to upload documents or pictures to Dropbox and how equally simple it is to share those materials with others through email! It is comparable to uploading to Google Drive; however, for those who are not Google Users, I find this to be easier to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the free version of Dropbox had more storage space. Also, I wish there was a way to delete parts of shared files from others from my own personal files- while still not deleting from the folder of whomever shared with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part of Dropbox is that it allows people to share from different networks. As a teacher I appreciate this, as I am sometimes sharing my materials or receiving materials from those outside of my district.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are planning on uploading/sharing large quantities of data, Dropbox may not be the best version unless you are looking to pay to add storage space.
