The OG cloud file storage solution but has limitations with integrations.
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox has an excellent UI and perhaps the best functionality around sharing folders and files compared with other cloud storage providers. And when used in a team environment, Dropbox works well with comments, sharing, and keeping things organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
For several years, Dropbox has been plagued by performance issues and a tendency to slow down the computers its running on. Outside of that, Dropbox simply doesn't have the level of integrations and organization that providers like Microsoft OneDrive have, which puts Dropbox squarely in second-place for use in a workplace team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started out using Dropbox as a cloud storage provider for our team, and immediately saw the benefits of moving files off of on-premises server shares to the cloud. Being able to seamless share documents, access offsite and on-the-go using phone apps, and sync between computers improved our productivity and streamlined many business processes. However, the benefits of OneDrive were substantial, and at this point, we use Dropbox almost exclusively to share files and folders with outside parties and to provide a submission portal for files and images from students, employees, and others. Dropbox still excels at folder sharing and at collecting images and files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider integrations carefully and think through your workflows. And be cautious if using on a Mac; evaluate performance issues with large file sets before committing.
Increasingly reliable and feature rich
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox started off as a synchronized storage solution for me. But increasingly, it has become somewhat of a Swiss Army Knife.
Sharing file links is relatively easy. And Dropbox is adding new features...finally...such as its own version of Frame.io for video production quality control.

What do you dislike about the product?
I miss being able to right click on files and folders to do things with them, such as move, copy, delete, share and rename. This used to be a thing, put a couple of years ago, they got rid of that functionality, instead opting for clicking on three little dots that bring up a menu with various actions.
Additionally, Dropbox has launched a file sharing feature, similar to WeTransfer. But it's slow and not as smooth. In fact, file uploads via the Dropbox web interface and desktop app are usually slow, even on gigabit connections. And they're generally not reliable, regardless of computer, browser or upload location. Half the time I return to find the upload had failed for some unknown reason.

Dropbox makes file sharing and collaboration within business units much easier. Email is such a thing of the past. It is a surefire way to lose things.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider this if you're looking for a synchronized cloud storage system that is also a whole ecosystem in the making. Dropbox is adding news features all the time.

Great storage, easily shareable, accessible anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's fairly universal. You can share files or photos through Dropbox with anyone or any business. It's organized well, and I appreciate that I can access it anywhere from any device.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version gives you hardly any storage at all, which can be a hindrance. I constantly get emails for my free account saying it's full, and I've run out of storage. That is the only time Google Drive has a leg up because it seems to have a much larger storage capacity, and it's free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has solved many file-sharing problems for me. For example, I like to shoot film photos and the place I get my film developed offers to share your files via dropbox. It saves me when I don't have a flash drive handy, and it costs no money - compared to purchasing a CD or DVD with your images. It has been wonderful to collaborate and share content with businesses.

1. Integrations: Dropbox offers a lot of third-party integrations, including canva, slack, zapier, otter, etc. It does make your life a little easier.
2. Collaboration: I find it easier to collaborate with my team on dropbox because of features like Dropbox paper, which allows us to leave comments, use emojis and stickers.
3. Sharing: Dropbox is better in terms of Data loss protection because it allows admin to turn off uploads for users. They'll be able to access and download files they are authorized to.

1. Pricing is far higher than other alternatives available in the market for the same storage space.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a secure and scalable cloud file storage, sharing, and collaboration tool. We assessed multiple platforms, and Dropbox was one of them. Being in a media company, we had a lot of third-party integrations for efficient working, and dropbox enabled us to do that. We were able to save a lot of time and money because dropbox became our default file storage and sharing platform. However, we did experience a breach because of the lack of security features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend businesses to assess all the security threats properly before investing in dropbox. There are a lot of good alternatives available in the market now, which are not only more secure than Dropbox but also cost a lot less.
Very Good File Sharing and Sync
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is very reliable and fast is the best benefit. You can also manage the shares to be local or in the cloud and even drill down by file or folder. This makes it easy to not locally sync the items you don't need locally
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the synch gets locked up and doesn't always communicate back up to the cloud. But if you pay attention to the notifications, you will be alerted that this is an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several teams spread out across the world and we have a ton of different large projects that need to be downloaded and uploaded constantly. Dropbox has allowed us to share all of our data seamlessly.
A great tool for file saving and sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a big fan of the ability to share docs seamlessly with those who have dropbox accounts; it makes the management and collaboration of those files really easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a fan of the fact that when you share files and folders, it takes up space on the other users' accounts as well as your own. I feel like if the files are in my dropbox and I'm sharing, it shouldn't affect that person's account storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It made keeping my files organized and traceable very easy. I've also been a big fan of the ability to access them anywhere and add to them anywhere. Keeping important documents at my fingertips in a secure space is wonderful.
Dropbox is the Answer of your Safe storage..!!
What do you like best about the product?
Using dropbox till date has been an amazing experience, especially during a time when everyone is working from home/remotely, dropbox serves as a lifeline for official work where you stay connected & updated on your work using Dropbox.

At our company, we all use Dropbox and have never considered other cloud storage options. Nothing to complain about. Everything is fine & smooth with this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Updating decks are quite easy and you don't have to send the ppts again & again. Just update it and the work is done.
- You can keep real-time tracking and see who changed what in your file in the team.
- Sending links of the folder is enough if the person is in your team & you have given access,
- During virtual training & inductions, Sharing & sending the specific files are easy.

Cloud storage for experienced user
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of this app. It allows user to upload files seamlessly in to specific folders. And its features are easy to use and looks secured in the front end.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are couple of things I don't like. for example, this application is not user friendly for starters but if you are familiar and this is a good app. Another thing I don't like about this app is that it's kinda slow

It allows me to upload files for my cloud use. I can access the added files from my comfort zone which is really good. It helps users like me to store files only with privacy and sharing options

If you are looking for cloud storage for your personal files then this is your best option. As this product has good privacy and upload options.
Dropbox - the faster, securer way to share files
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about dropbox is the efficiency and ease of use to access and download files - no matter how large the file size or quantity. It's also easy for our clients to use, which makes it an excellent alternative for them to upload their sensitive documents, all they do is drag or load their files and I, as the recipient, am able to retrieve and confirm receipt quickly. I also like the time/date stamp indicating when documents were uploaded.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if it exists, but if there were a way to get automatic notifications every time a document is uploaded to dropbox, it would make information gathering much smoother. As of now, clients have to notify me via e-mail that there is a new document, which, if not done immediately, can get forgotten about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is helping me exchange and share information with clients in a much more secure and efficient way. Clients are partial to and find great appeal in the platform, making it a terrific tool. Clients can also organize their documents and files in their own way (such as by year/name/entity), and the files don't delete so that I can access older documents according to my needs.
Great file sharing and storing tool
What do you like best about the product?
Even the free version provides plenty of storage space and is very easy to use. I like that I can log from any device and access the files. Many websites now also allow you to upload files straight from Dropbox; this saves storage space on the physical devices I use.
What do you dislike about the product?
One backside is that one needs internet to access information, so if I am at a place where there is no reception or wifi, I cannot access my Dropbox account. And as always: more free storage space would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have applied to many jobs by using Dropbox to upload my CV or other files requested.

It is a generally recognized tool for storing and sharing files, more and more websites build Dropbox into their file uploading process so it makes easy to access files.
