Sharing files with anyone has never been easier for us.
What do you like best about the product?
Uploading and downloading files is quite fast, Dropbox has quality servers so this process takes a few seconds to upload and download. I love the Dropbox UI and the way it automatically sorts my files, I can sort files and folders by upload date and initial letter. The App for mobile devices and computers is quite fluid, it has a similar fluidity to the web version, you can manage your cloud storage with similar experiences on each device. Also, viewing, editing, and sharing documents is easy and can be done online.
What do you dislike about the product?
At work in my sector, Dropbox hasn't had any issues, I've been able to transfer files instantly, my colleagues can send me files with just a link, and the cloud storage has never thrown an error while uploading a file, it's amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helped us free up space on our computers, some of the most important files and documents from our advertising campaigns have been stored in Dropbox to protect them and have access to them from anywhere in the world. It helped us to share files without using removable drives, in addition, it helped us to have collaborative work, where we have shared folders to access files much faster. Dropbox is the revolution, it is the future of cloud storage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendation is that you immediately upgrade to a paid version, as the Dropbox free trial can be a bit limited and won't allow you to store as many files as you want, plus it won't let you link your Teams account to Dropbox.
Storage, transfer, and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a unified platform that allows sharing, storage, and collaboration. It's free to use and quick to get started with. The interface is pretty straightforward, where you'll find the buttons to add files to your storage drive, add folders, and also create folders. When creating a folder, you can have it private or shared. The latter will allow people you send invitations to add their files and also access yours in that folder. You can run a unified storage folder along with other people without sharing any further account details. The files that you add to your storage are uploaded to the cloud, which you can view at any time. You can even view them on other devices where you have Dropbox downloaded. You can use Dropbox as a common means of transferring files from one device to another. You can use Dropbox for work as it provides many means of collaborating. You can not only share files seamlessly but also make changes to their content in real-time along with your coworkers. Similar to GitHub, all the authorized users can add on to or make changes to any file. You can also create files such as docs from scratch that you can simultaneously work on with your coworkers.
What I like best about Dropbox is that it allows seamless sharing of large files. You can send file requests to anyone via email, after which they'll be able to share files with you without needing to upload them to the storage first. The file request transfer limit exceeds the default storage limit on Dropbox, making it a more efficient way to transfer files. Dropbox is incredibly secure and you can rest assured that your files are safe and not prone to getting hacked or viewed without your permission.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is excellent but the desktop application is pretty useless aside from making quick file uploads. You can't do much with it since it doesn't even let you view your storage, let alone collaborate. But you can use it on your browser for any need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for all cloud-related activities. It's an excellent platform for file storage as it allows me to use my work files anywhere even when I'm traveling. Even when I'm switching to a different device, I don't need to rely on storage devices to move my file around constantly. With cloud storage, my files are always available. I also use Dropbox to back up all my important files, sheets, docs, and passwords since it's pretty safe and reliable. Dropbox has an excellent password manager in it where I can securely save all of my passwords for easier access and security. My coworkers and I use Dropbox to share files and store all our projects for easier access when the presentations are due. Real-time file sharing on other platforms requires both parties to be available at the same time, whereas Dropbox gives you a bit of discretion and allows the designated user(s) to either access the file from the shared folder or through the URL, which are available at all times. Dropbox allows automatic file compression for folders, making it easier to share a large number of files simultaneously. It also has built-in automation to move files to the appropriate folders based on the file name and type.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For people who are looking for a unified software where they can collaborate, store files, and share them, Dropbox is the one I'd recommend first. It's very scalable and suitable for teams of all sizes. It takes no time or money to get started with it.
Great collaboration and storage software, but a storage software first and foremost
What do you like best about the product?
The application is well-built and very fast. I appreciate the free version, which is great for students and those with limited document storage needs. The mobile application works great too, and overall the application is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
File sharing and viewing capabilities are sometimes glitchy, especially for larger files and video files. Playback capabilities also seem to struggle at times, but have gotten better over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solved company-wide file storage and management problem for us and has been very useful to quickly and securely store files. We also use it as a backup repository for some information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While Dropbox is a superb solution, the landscape has changed and there are many competitor products out there to fulfill this demand. This application is best suited for small to medium-sized companies that have limited file storage requirements.
Excellent solution for file storage
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an excellent solution for cloud file storage. It's easy to use and set up, requiring no download whatsoever to use it. You can use your browser to access Dropbox on the website, where you can store your files easily. Dropbox provides the facility to drag and drop your files into the drive to upload them without needing to navigate them manually on your computer. You can drag and drop multiple files simultaneously for a bulk upload. Dropbox makes it easier for you to access your files and create folders to make your storage look well-kept and organized. You can download Dropbox on your mobile device for file storage, similar to the browser. If you download Dropbox on your computer, you can sync the app with your mobile device to easily send and receive files. If you're tired of using other methods of connectivity like USB transfer, Bluetooth, etc., Dropbox is the best solution. Dropbox, through Dropbox Paper, allows you to collaborate on any work that you're doing online with your team. You can draft docs, sheets, and maintain your projects conveniently with proper roadmaps and use the bulletin board to plan your tasks.
You can take collaboration a step further on Dropbox by assigning your folders as 'Shared', using which you can grant access to any number of users. You can allow others to upload and download files from shared folders, which can make file transfer for work easier as there's no waiting period at all. Dropbox has plugins for many apps that are prominently used today, making it the most ideal solution for cloud storage.

What do you dislike about the product?
While I'm pretty content with the general features and advantages of Dropbox, you're only getting 2 GB for file storage, which is very inconvenient. When Google Drive and OneDrive can offer 15 GB and 20 GB respectively, Dropbox is very underwhelming in comparison for file storage alone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been using Dropbox as a solution for cloud storage. When my team and I were made to work from home because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we had to quickly find a solution to move all our files from our office workstation to our personal computers to work remotely. Dropbox was the easiest way to make all our files accessible without a local network since it runs on the cloud server, which any of us can access. We have all our project files and documents made accessible to the entire team, which we can download and look at when needed. Using shared folders, we can upload and retrieve files for our routine updates and software maintenance work as a team. For any business webinars, we can use Dropbox Paper to create presentations and the necessary paperwork for projects, where everyone can have input and add on to the docs collaboratively. For personal storage, Dropbox is pretty reliable as you can sync your mobile device and computer to move files easily without a third-party tool to intervene.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is an excellent storage and transfer solution. But the size limit can make things difficult for you as it provides the least amount of space compared to its competitors, who offer more. You can use Dropbox for moving and sending files as that's easily its biggest advantage over its competitors.
Dropbox Pro can be a lifesaver
What do you like best about the product?
iOS integration, file syncing, multiple platfroms
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit hefty on the price, no other compaints
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files with vendors and customers
Amazing... until it isn't.
What do you like best about the product?
For photos I wouldn't be too mad if I lost them - sure, it's fine.
What do you dislike about the product?
Important files of size? no way.
I've been trying to upload a large number of photos from my phone to Dropbox in batches of 12. Sometimes it goes fine, sometimes only 9-11 of them upload, sometimes one or two random other ones from the same folder get transferred as well. And now I can't open the Dropbox folder at all. I'm baffled that such basic functionality is so faulty and unreliable.
Scary thing is seeing how COMMON this is, forums where users are discussing it are filled with cointless people with the same issue, meaning they just ignore HUNDREDS of people who have had the same issue, some for YEARS.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage space limits on mobile devices.
Good online storage platform to save and protected many types of documents.
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is actually our primary platform with regard to saving, distributing, sharing as well as preserving many types of data files, records as well as photos. I feel that Dropbox is an extremely competitive application to transfer data files within minutes, the program performs perfectly and provides an individual the possibility of safeguarding data files at a very economical cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost no dislike; it is easy to work with, data files are simple to access; you are able to set up folders, and you may gain access to your documents from anywhere you want to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within our business, we manage a lot of data files on the laptops, each day we create new docs and get new info from other individuals which is saved on our hard disks. Dropbox is a program that transformed our general vision of being a company, made our laptops safer, and also helped our data files to possess extra protection within the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is a great tool for keeping safe your important files over the cloud, I must suggest this tool to keep your documents at safe location.
Easy file transfer
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy to use and it has an intuitive UI. It's an excellent storage service that operates on the cloud where you can store your files permanently. While Dropbox is popular for its PC version, you can use it on your phone to store and retrieve files. It's an excellent medium of file transfer. Dropbox is reliable for storing files as there's no inactivity period after which it deletes your files. You can use it reliably to free up space on your computer and save important files on the cloud that you can carry with you anywhere. While other mediums of file transfer carry a limit on the size, on Dropbox you can transfer files up to 100GB without occupying the space on your cloud storage. File transfer on Dropbox is pretty secure and ensures that no other user except the recipients can access the files. You can send files to multiple people simultaneously, making it easy to work and collaborate with multiple people. While Dropbox's free membership comes with a limit of 2GB on storage, file transfer is entirely free and limitless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is excellent for transferring files and I've had no issues with it so far. It provides safe means of sending and receiving large files over the cloud without any impact on cloud storage space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My coworkers and I use Dropbox to transfer files for work and project collaboration. While other means of file transfer such as email, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc., have limits based on the file upload limit, Dropbox makes it convenient to bypass and share large files of documents, app data, software code, and videos seamlessly through its File Transfer feature. It's quick and sends files instantly, which the recipients can access using the URL they receive via email. Dropbox ensures the utmost security of your files so that only you can authorize access to the files on Dropbox. Furthermore, it has the means to make collaborating on coding and projects convenient through Dropbox Paper. Dropbox's features are extensible through its many integration means, including Zoom. You can use Dropbox on your mobile to move files between devices, making it an excellent alternative to traditional means of wired and wireless data transfers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox is free and the most reliable software for file transfer today. It's limitless and provides a safe medium through which you can send large files up to 100GB or more. While its storage limit can be an issue, it's still excellent for storing small files.
Ability to store and secure all types of files.
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is our main platform for storing, distributing, sharing and safeguarding all types of files, documents and images. We believe that Dropbox is a very capable software to transfer files in minutes, its platform works wonderfully and offers the user the possibility of protecting files at a very affordable price. During my experience with Dropbox, the positive features that I noticed were the following:
- The convenience of the Dropbox desktop app is amazing. This App does not start automatically when the computer is turned on, so it does not interrupt at any time, in addition, the App has a feature that I have never seen. The files are not uploaded through the App, this App creates a folder on the desktop where the user must move all the files they want to be in the cloud to that folder. When you move the files to that folder, they will be automatically uploaded to the cloud, and you will be able to view those files from the App or any other device.
- Dropbox has a special folder so that members of a work team can share files more directly. In my Corporate work team, we share the files through this folder, all you have to do is drag the files to that folder and immediately the other members will be able to access that file, without the need to send it individually.
- I love the perfect security that Doprobx has since it automatically generates an encryption key for all files stored in the cloud, this has ensured that no intruder can access my files without my prior consent.
- I like the Trash system that Dropbox has, this system has helped me recover files that I thought were lost. Sometimes, I have deleted files without thinking that they will be useful in the future for something specific. All these files that I delete, stay in the trash for 30 days, so it's quite easy to recover data in Dropbox.

What do you dislike about the product?
Within my experience with Dropbox, I only noticed two negative characteristics, this software has not caused so many problems, it has behaved to the measure and has met all my expectations. In my experience, I have noticed more positive things than negative. The negative things I noticed about Dropbox were:
- Document editing is not so well optimized. In other cloud storage applications, there is the possibility of editing documents together, users can modify a document with the support of their colleagues on other computers, and the changes will be shown in real time, this helps collaborative work to be higher, however, in Dropbox this does not happen like that. In Dropbox documents cannot be modified as a whole, only one person can modify it, otherwise, several copies will be created corresponding to the number of people who are modifying the said document.
- In the free version of Dropbox there is no possibility to add encryption security, moreover, the space is quite little. I consider that 2GB free is too little for new users to try the platform. In my opinion, they should expand that amount of storage, so that the user can learn more about the program that he is about to acquire for his work area.

In our company, we handle quite a lot of files on our computers, every day we create new documents and receive new information from other people that is stored on our hard drives. Dropbox has been a platform that changed our general vision as a company, made our computers more secure and allowed our files to have additional security in the cloud. Previously, we transferred files via email or removable drives, however, after the arrival of Dropbox, we now transfer files from the cloud, with a more direct reception and a transfer in just a couple of seconds without moving from our place of work. I thank Dropbox for having met all our expectations, for being such an incredible software that helps us keep our files and documents safe at all times.
My experience has been very pleasant, Dropbox has been a fairly simple software to use, we adapted quickly after the arrival of Dropbox in our company, we understood all the functions instantly.

Dropbox is wonderful!
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is free and easy to use. If you need to share a file, it is relatively easy. Another plus is the free account and paid plans. If you want to test out the platform, the free version is the way to go.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of the amount of security protecting my images on Dropbox. The site has been hacked several times, and information was stolen. Another downside is the limited space for free accounts. Dropbox is a great platform other than the above issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has allowed me to clear up space on my Macbook by storing various documents, pictures, videos, and presentations on the platform rather than on my computer. If I am away from my computer, I love how I can easily access my account on my cell phone. Dropbox is a dream come true!
