I have been using it since its launch, and love it!

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use. I can store all types of files categorically. Making new folders or sharing files and folders with my clients and employees is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Never came across something that I would hate about Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a blogger, vlogger, artist and whatnot. My laptop and the external hard drive are always full. I find dropbox the best and most pocket-friendly to keep my files organised and safe elsewhere.

One of the best platform when it comes to storage and backups

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is fantastic in terms of functionality and storage tools. The first thing we like is that it is a free platform, which means it is accessible to any user. It has many benefits; among the most critical functions we consider is how it synchronizes the Dropbox system files from any device to the cloud. It allows assigning one or more folders to the cloud so that the platform automatically uploads any added file. Dropbox automatically saves the content you are working on, thus avoiding loss of information in case the computer shuts down unexpectedly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We consider it a complete and efficient platform; we have no dislikes as such; however, as an observation, they should offer a slightly greater range of storage for the free version provided in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Undoubtedly, it improves the performance of all our equipment because the storage of information that we manage is started in the cloud through the Dropbox platform. Because my work folders are automatically synchronized with this platform, I realize that the changes are reflected immediately. It's a great way to make my files available on other devices and avoid data loss.

DropBox makes collaboration a Breeze!

  • January 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that DropBox allows my peers to share documents, leave comments, and collaborate when in different locations. DropBox has allowed our documents to stay secure but allowed us to work at home, in the office, or anywhere on the road.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of dropbox is the price. If your office is unwilling to purchase, people may have to buy their account and this can get costly depending on how much data you want to share
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is allowing people to work together in real time from multiple locations. People can share documents, pictures, notes - any kind of data with peers or a group to make sure that everyone has the necessary information.

We can use DropBox internally and with external partners without fear of security issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish downloading was a bit easier and image tagging being automated would be helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share our media and documents with external partners without giving them access to our internal servers.

Useful for backups, collaborations, storage, and organizing files

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is the all-in-one software that fulfills all file management needs. After downloading the application to your PC, Dropbox will automatically create a folder on your storage drive. You can move files to this folder to automatically upload them to the cloud storage. Any file you delete from this folder will also reflect on the cloud. You can seamlessly make backups of your files by copying and pasting them to the Dropbox folder. Alternatively, if you don't want to download the Dropbox application for your PC, you can use it on any browser. You can drag and drop any file to the webpage to add it to your cloud storage. The webpage platform makes it convenient to manage your data as it has more intuitiveness and beneficial features than the PC application. You can make your files shareable by making them available for anyone to view using the link. You can then share the link with people to let them download your files. You can also give editing rights for documents, text files, spreadsheets, etc., to people and enable collaboration online. Collaborating through Dropbox is straightforward; you can create soft copies of the file without completely overwriting it. This makes it easier to revert the edits or go to an older version, which is handy for coding if you run into errors with any changes made. With the Paper tool, you can expand your collaboration mediums and access tools for project and daily task management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything in Dropbox. The low-end storage limit can pose a problem when sharing big files, but there are workarounds that may not be intuitive for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is a standard network platform where my colleagues and I share files and create instant backups. Our files are secure on Dropbox as it's hack-proof, and information theft is impossible. When we're working on Java projects, we can edit the source code collaboratively on Dropbox on the browser. Dropbox makes it convenient to separate personal files from work files through shareable folders. We move all project contributions and related files to the shared folder, which can be opened and used by all our colleagues. With scheduled automated backups, any offline edits made are immediately reflected on the cloud. After fully adapting to remote work from a hybrid setup, Dropbox has been crucial in speeding up our work, as sharing over internet data is much faster than local network cables. For files that surpass the 2 GigaByte limit, we can transfer them directly to the recipient's storage if they can accommodate them. Besides coding, we depend on Dropbox to create presentations and work on project documentation and banners.
