What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is a way to store files in the cloud safely. Dropbox is relied on heavily by our HR and finance teams for a lot of daily tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin, we cannot see or provide access to private folders. Users need to reach out to that team directly for access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing critical documentation

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There's nothing special about Dropbox. Other services provide the same experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was an original user of Dropbox, recruited hundreds of people to sign up. Got loads of free storage. Now Dropbox wants me to pay.
I use Microsoft Cloud instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None.

Great product but limited storage options

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Paper by Dropbox. It's a clean editor with an intuitive interface. I also like sharing files via Dropbox. It makes the sharing secure while being lossless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tiers are very expensive and the free version has very little storage. It is cost-prohibitive at $9.99/month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing files easily in both workspace and personal domains. I used to use Paper every week and I really liked its interface and ability to spin up a new doc in the same format.

Dropbox is a life saver

What do you like best about the product?
Simple file access from any location with an internet connection, backups, and secure file storage, also. File sharing and cooperation with teammates and others
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan's low storage capacity,  slower file synchronization than with comparable cloud storage options.  Version history for files on the free plan is restricted
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps out organization to keep in touch with the data that we are keen to assemble and take care of.

Dropbox is a user-friendly cloud storage platform with a smooth and seamless experience.

What do you like best about the product?
The most commonly appreciated features of Dropbox are its ease of use, reliable syncing across devices, and robust collaboration tools for sharing and co-editing files with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have concerns about the limited free storage space and the cost of upgrading to a higher storage plan. There are some occasional technical issues, such as slow upload speeds or syncing errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving the problem of limited storage space and difficulties in accessing and sharing files across multiple devices. By providing a cloud-based storage solution, it allows me to store my files securely on remote servers and access them from anywhere with an internet connection. This benefits me by allowing me to free up space on my devices, easily share files with others, and collaborate in real-time on shared files and folders.

The best solution to handling file sharing and syncing

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is easy and intuitive to navigate on the web browser. It primarily runs on the web browser, where you can upload, download, and share files. It's the most helpful software for file sharing, as you can use it anywhere. It has apps you can download for your computer and phone, allowing sharing of files between any device. After downloading the apps, you can enable file syncing effectively, allowing Dropbox to create cloud backups for the selected files systematically. Your files on Dropbox are available 24/7, allowing you to securely host them on the cloud server for storage purposes or for sharing later. Besides storage, Dropbox is an excellent platform for creating files, such as text documents, word documents, spreadsheets, etc. You can make these files alone or collaboratively with others after giving them access. Dropbox has an auto-save feature that automatically saves the content of your files as you edit them. This prevents data loss from accidentally closing the browser without manually saving the files. When you save the files, Dropbox does not overwrite the file. Instead, it creates another version of the file that you can browse the history for. Dropbox's data retrieval features also extend to deleted files, giving you up to a month to restore them before they're permanently deleted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Low storage space would be my main gripe with Dropbox. As a long-time user of Google Drive, we transitioned to Dropbox as it could integrate with more applications, but the 2GB space was too small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox has been the most reliable way of sharing files for my team and me. Compared to the old ways of sending files via emails or by uploading them to chats, Dropbox is much safer and quicker. Dropbox also lets us stay organized as the files we upload are easily accessible through links. We used to share our files through Skype, but the downside was that we had to scroll up to find the file again or ask the sender to re-upload if we wanted to see the contents again later. Dropbox eliminated many issues we'd previously faced with file sharing and overall work management. We can also collaborate on documents, where we do most of our coding. We have the debugging team on board at all times, so when we write statements with syntax errors, the debugging team can correct them immediately. Dropbox also makes whitebox testing easier for our software developers. Dropbox takes care of backing up work files for me without my intervention. I have a designated folder for all projects synced to the cloud. Dropbox creates routine backups of the folder and updates any edits I make immediately. So, it reduces the time wasted in uploading new files manually.

Dropbox is the best service for

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an excellent cloud storage service. We can upload our data like files, folders, documents, archives, photos, videos etc. Dropbox is very fast for uploading and downloading documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is their storage limitation in free trials. They are giving lower storage limits in free trials. Google Drive provide 15 BG storage, while Dropbox offers only 2 GB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for storing my documents, files and folders. There is an excellent feature of Dropbox to synchronise the file from the local system context to Dropbox and vice versa.

DropBox the best file store solution

  • February 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox allows you to store and access your files from any device, making it easy to share files with others.
It offers a range of collaboration tools, such as shared folders, comments, and version history, that make it easy to work with others on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox's file transfer speeds can be slow, especially when uploading large files.
No built-in photo management tools - Unlike some other cloud storage services, Dropbox does not have built-in photo management tools, such as the ability to view and organise photos in a gallery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of limited storage capacity on individual devices, as well as the inconvenience of transferring files between different devices and sharing them with others. With Dropbox, users can store and access their files from any device with an internet connection, making it easy to share files with others and collaborate on projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox is nice but the usability is kinda wonky. I wish they would just redesign.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File sharing is nice and space is plenty.
