It's marketed as low code no code, finding developers is always a challenge so this sounds great. On the surface this could save us a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
First impressions are that the learning curve to initially start using the technology is high. Hopeful that that learning pays dividends in helping produce rapid developments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rapid development of apps. Helping visualize capabilities quicker.
Mendix in place of Opcenter (short term)
What do you like best about the product?
Mendix has been rapid to deploy, and easy to use. It's supporting early development programs while waiting for enterprise roll out of Opcenter. Offering great customisation and rapid change to help refine an end user experience for manufacturing execution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Understanding the way to control the apps at an enterprise level over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's bridged a gap in capability, but is now enabling us to standardize the user interface for Opcenter.

What do you like best about the product?
Mendix has made it possible for us to expedite internal solutions delivery without relying entirely on the traditional development team. From IT, we really value the control it provides over the development, testing, and production environments. It is a low-code platform with enough depth to handle complex processes and maintain the security and scalability that a medium-sized or large organization needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite being a powerful tool, it may initially seem that everything is "easy," which could lead to underestimating the need to establish sound IT practices. Before opening access to other business areas, it is necessary to reverse the time spent defining standards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a long list of internal requests that we couldn't quickly handle with only traditional development. Mendix allows for prototyping, validating, and delivering solutions in weeks rather than months. This improved the perception of the IT department as a strategic business ally and decreased the pressure on the core development teams.

Ease of use, reusable aspect of the app, faster development lifecycle.

Cost of purchase, other than that I have no other negative feedback.

The turnaround time and the capability to have fast paced development.
As a Business Analyst working closely with non IT users it makes it super convenient to be able to coordinate and show them the results real time. This makes sure the product we are building is aligned with business requirements at every level. Bottom line it boosts agility to the next level ;)

What do you dislike about the product?
1. It seems like there is a trade off with performance whenever complex implementations are done.
2. I have heard some of our business complain about the licensing cost.
3. When complex integrations are needed on the Mendix app it feels as though there is a limited low code space especially in engineering applications.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The clients I work with always expect super customized solutions to their engineering problems which is served well with Mendix. This is achieved with Mendix 100% and the fact that there can be seamless integration with legacy softwares makes it convenient to Mendix applications to their portfolio.
Another major benefit would be fostering collaboration between non IT and IT. The non IT business users are kept very much involved through the development Lifecycle ensuring the final product meets users expectations without any surprises there by overcoming the problem with REWORK!

Mendix Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Mendix gives us the ability to customize Opcenter to fit our business needs. We at times have also leveraged it for UX Design ideas and its ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any real issues that are negative for Mendix and how we utilize it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are moving legacy systems over to Opcenter, and Mendix enables us to customize screens, making the transition easy for user adoption.

I don't have any dislikes at the moment we are new to using mendix but I really like what it provides to our business.

Develop apps quicker
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Mendix is the ability to develop apps quickly without expensive resources. We're able to develop applications with workflows, e-mail notifications, dashboards, etc. in just a few weeks and users are able to see the application in action and provide feedback
What do you dislike about the product?
No strong dislikes about Mendix that I can think of. UI customization takes a little bit of effort but is manageable.

We are using Mendix for quality workflows, approval, etc.
