What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it helps me to have optimal processing and a combination of excellent data. It is also highly capable of providing integrated analysis in each data that has been requested. On the other hand, I can also generate accurate and very objective reports on each pattern analyzed. It really makes it easy for me to have multiple linked files thanks to the integration with Excel. I would also like to point out that data connectivity for SQL is very important and easy to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like there to be greater functionalities to make the platform more specific in the processes. I also want to say that it would be positive to have a better entry and elimination of links between operations. Something that I could see is that it contains limited API connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is a program widely used in our department for the simple fact that we can analyze data from different sets. We subsequently use this data as a reference to make decisions about marketing impacts and their different campaigns. It has helped us to automate all the work and make variants in the workflow when necessary.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended this product, with a simplicity and much determination. It is easy to manipulate and suitable for creating authentic workflows. You can help combine data and report it to make the right decisions. It would also adapt very well for those who wish to present their data without previously processing.
Good for workflow automation
What do you like best about the product?
The Designer is easy to use, the drag and drop functionality helps non-developers to quickly replicate manual processes with an automated solution. The gallery has an easy interface for scheduling automated workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The per-core costs are pretty high if you need to scale out in a large organization. It also isn't very cloud friendly at the moment and is really designed for on-premise computing. This is the most important drawback aside from cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are lots of manual workflows that can easily be automated with a tool like Alteryx. It generally enables non-technical end-users to automate their own workflows without the requirement of a developer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool for POC work and moderate sized use-cases. If you really need to scale it may not be the best solution. They don't natively support cloud infrastructure, but they did help with a few workarounds. This is something I would like to see them invest in more. Overall though it is a great product that can work well.

It has a easy user Interface. It is very intuitive to work and no intense training is required. It has very good community where a lot of people are actively involved.

workflows cannot be paused. Once disconnected it has to be run again from beginning

Alteryx Scheduler, where I can have a workflow run automatically on its own

There isn't a lot I dislike to be fully honest, but I would say the input tools could be better.

What do you like best about the product?
Its a self service analytics tool. It doesn't require lot of coding skills. Drag and drop functionality saves time and efforts.

There is no learning module for all tools in Prescriptive,Predictive toolsets.

I have been analyzing my organizations Financial Data regularly.
Sales Forecast is another main area of focus.
Apart from this, I also use Alteryx for Preparation and Cleansing of data.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest people to try out Alteryx as it proves beneficial over traditional methods of data analytics. Its less complex to use and time saving.
Great tool to combine and manipulate big data from different sources
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can manipulative data sets from all sorts of sources. I can combine data from hadoop and teradata to output a single data set into excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
How slow the processing can be and the fact that i cant look into my browser box when the flow is running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whether our third party hires are completing their jobs on time. I am running reports on Alteryx to gather and complete their data. Benefits that I can collect all this data, output it in excel, and email it out all in a click of a button.

Alteryx does a good job of self documenting complex ETL processes and making them repeatable across team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing of the software is extremely high, limiting companies looking for people with alteryx skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performing data ETL processes prior to using tableau for data visualization. Benefits are self documentation and repeatability.
Used it for 1 summer school program

I liked the constant ability to communicate with the company and their constant sharing of changes and updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked the constant updates we went through that summer and How they affected our job and inputting of information in a timely manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it for our summer school student management and solved many of our logistic and internal school grouping problems.

What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx is very user friendly. Unlike Access, one can easily determine what to drag into the screen to complete a query.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not run as fast as the software company claims. We link Alteryx to Teradata in my office and it is faster than excel linking to Teradata, however, it is not light-years faster as they claim.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx is helping to provide a viable solution to report out on fill rates at our depots. The tool is being used to create better reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alteryx is a cool tool. Once a user is versed in the tool it will be much easier to use than access or excel.

Helpful visual design, provides interface to build your own tools and analytic apps.

Lacking documentation or depth in the online community forum. Error messages vague/not easily referred to.
